Just got out of seeing Furiosa, I loved it. It was better than I thought it would be. I still don’t know if it’s better than fury road but it’s up there for me for sure
Disney is notorious for starting a show off strong in the first few episodes only to shit the bed in the end so I am not letting this get me excited whatsoever 😐
I brought my kids (6 and 7) to watch Godzilla x Kong and Garfield double feature. They liked Godzilla better, but they also enjoyed Garfield. I think it was a great way to introduce them to the beloved property, and easier to break out the old comic books to enjoy with them
Kris, I also would LOVE a Tintin sequel. The first one was so good!! It's Peter Jackson's fault, he was supposed to direct the next one. 😂 I'm sure part of it not happening is because the first one didn't exactly blow up the box office. It probably made okay money but had it made a lot of money, I'm sure we would have gotten a sequel by now.
Late to the party, but l saw Garfield on the weekend. I enjoyed it as a fun movie, but it's basically a reverse Home Alone with a bare minimum amount of heart.
I'm waiting for ANDOR. Furiosa for me was all right. I was actually hoping for more ATJ in it performaning in scenes. The action was inventive and cool and the world was nice to revisit to see Gas Town and the Bullet Farm
Our garfield showing was over half full on an odd one forty on a friday afternoon and full of families! They clapped at the end also! For trailers beetlejuice got the biggest reaction and I didn't even know they made a wonder 2.
I would love for Steven Spielberg to do the Blackhawk DC Comics movie that he was attached to years ago. I know James Gunn is over DC movies, but let Steven Spielberg do this movie. We have The Batman and Joker movies that are doing their own thing. Spielberg needs to do this. This would be the closest we get for him to do a comic book movie. If anyone knows Blackhawk from DC Comics, this would be perfect for him.
@@nemowindsor8724lol you know kids with mountains of Garfield comics?? That’s definitely a rare exception and not an indication of kids around the world
George Miller needs to make a sequel to Max Max Fury Road with an older Charlize Theron (or an even older actress) to show Furiosa at the end of her life. It would be an amazing trilogy. I think he said he was interested in doing a Max Max pre-quel showing a younger Mad Max but I'm not really interested in that. Save that for a TV show down the road and give us the Furiosa trilogy. But based on the box office numbers I don't know if anyone is going to let him direct a big budget film like this again unless it's smaller in scope/vision.
Ya know. I can only speak for myself and most people I know. We loved basically everything Star Wars outside ic Obi Wan and even that I don't hate. Just meh. Outside of Rise of Skywalker. I think we all agree on that. Ha. Point is, alot of people are like me. Actually like most people are. Sadly, those who don't like things like to go around talking about how much they hate a thing when people who do like things don't feel the need to go around screaming it.
@Magdalena8008s Dude you're wrong. The ratings for all these shows have been low. As in people tuning in. John has reported on the major drops each time. You can just like most Star Wars stuff but realize that a lot of people did abandon it.
I, personally, have utterly no interest in watching the Garfield movie. But, I love the overall franchise. I agree with John that the modern Garfield movies have been pretty limp.
I think the idea that movies that are flops, Fall Guy, Ungentleman warefare, ect, getting moved to VOD after 3 weeks being a bad thing is, "get of my lawn" mentality. The idea that movie theater goers are gonna skip movies because of VOD... Movie theater goers are gonna go no matter what, to the movies they want to see. Lets say Fall Guys stays in exclusive to theaters for another month or two, gets maybe 10 million, maybe, now nobody is talking about so they have to shell out more for home media marketing (maybe thats less than 10 mill) and now they have to rent it at 4.99 (or 5.99?) instead of 19.99. Plus all the movies coming out in the next month and a half... Instead they got to ride off the current marketing, rent it at 19.99 and its still in theaters for anyone who wants to see it (so are all VOD movies) and all the people that see it at home talk about it. I don't think anyone is assuming tentpole IPs that do well in theaters are going to all of sudden be VOD after 3 weeks.
Isn’t it the theaters who removing the films from their screens if they are not making money. So what are studios supposed to do if their movie is not playing anymore? That’s why we see fall guy so soon on streaming. Watch Charts with Dan and you will see that fall guys is no longer showing.
We don’t need BIG directors for a Star Wars movie, we need GOOD writing. I don’t think the majority of audience even know Rian Johnsons name, but they know it was a poorly written Star Wars story. Stop blaming the audience for the shortcomings of your industry.
Would be nice if they got Star Wars Explained or one of those big star wars youtubers to review tye first couple of episodes of the show. They are the real fans.

Quite pumped to go see FURIOSA tonight!!!!
Great show as always!
Ready Player One was AWESOME
I saw it last night. It was decent, if I had to give my one word review.
I felt that Chris hemsworth carried the film on his back.
I loved it ! At the end all that matters is your opinion
Steven Spielberg can make movies for as long he wants, as long as he has the drive and desire. He is a great filmmaker.
Happy birthday to Paul Star Guy, that was also my birthday lol always fun seeing people who I share a birthday with
watching this as a replay. damn shoutout to @Patrick Steward for making it rain memberships!

Yeah Disney xmen 97
@@yosefvargasxDisagree on this particular example. I though X-Men 97 ended strong.
@@yosefvargasxhighly disagree with you. First season of X-Men ‘97 fire start to finish.
Oh, that's so true. TV Shows that are meant to be movie scripts.
@@DJarvis1987 exactly. 👍🏻

Loved 1 & 2
In the UK here. I had an Apple TV trial, and it worked on my TV Firestick (app) and my Android phone... on the webpage. Not ideal but it worked.

Steven said it's in the works in an interview, but he will only produce and not direct this time.

“No kids today know who Garfield is.” That’s why they made it.

We need a Terminal sequel
I love Odie!!
Surprised it’s not another Deadpool forward show, we only have two months left until it comes out. Squeeze it hard
I'ts crazy. I have like ten movies to watch on VOD from this year only, and I can barely catch up with some TV Shows.

Maybe the Knives Out movie will be set in Ireland per the U2 reference.
I wonder why Kris isn’t reading the viewer questions
Hi John I know Rian Johnson just mention them in glass onion but do you think we could see Jeremy Renner and Jared Leto in wake up dead man
Why is it now the standard to be SURPRISED when a star wars show is good?
tbh Andor and bad batch were good within the last 3 shows, Ashoka has its fans too

true that
Alice in Borderland came out before Squid Games, and it's based on a manga Haro Aso
What might be sad - if that Daniel Day joke was a Chris Pratt ad-lib.
I, personally, have utterly no interest in watching the Garfield movie. But, I love the overall franchise. I agree with John that the modern Garfield movies have been pretty limp.
Rian Johnson is an amazing director when it’s not about Star Wars.
I agree with Kris about The Last Jedi.
Here's a possible title ... "ET Comes Home" 😉

Well, I almost fell asleep with Furiosa. Maybe because I'm so fed up with dumb violence and CGI fests. But glad you liked it...
I did notice some spotty CGI but that was the minority so I'm a little surprised you thought it was a CGI fest.
Android is like the 4th best smart phone, it’s not that impressive
Really didn't like Last Jedi, love Rian Johnson.

What’s a “ real fan “
Real fan according to you? lol
Damn I didn't know Disney was paying you. This show is trash 🗑️ as the French would say Ga-bag'e
Blue Beetle was bad, so bad. Thats why people didn’t go to see it. No other reason. Just bad.
