A bit of background: All 3 scenes are told by or at least feature Death (Kindred - an entity consisting of the Lamb and the Wolf, Lamb's arrow grants you a peaceful death while wolf comes for those who refuse to die). 1st scene is in the past, where Kindred is shown in the flame and tries to take Aatrox (big sword guy) soul, but he always comes back as his soul is in the sword (you can see it's "heart" beating), Kindred can be seen for a brief moment in the fires. The 2nd scene is the potential future, where Yasuo accepts Lamb's arrow and dies, you can also see Wolf's eyes in the background. And the 3rd one is Tryndamere refusing to die therefore fighting Kindred (his ultimate ability - the red eyes) but his wife (Ashe) saves him at the end.

Kindred wasn't trying to take the soul of Aatrox. She was taking the soul of his host that Kayle killed in that moment.

Welcome to the LoL rabbit hole!
      I wanna suggest the 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, and 2018 season Cinematics
(Ignore 2023 becoz thats a complete downgrade from the quality of the rest)
Soon enough you might check others beyond that.
Saw the BlackPink poster behind you so you might also wanna check “K/DA - POP/STARS | Music Video”
(This has something to do with both LoL and KPop)

I love seeing that even someone with no knowledge of the game or it's lore can still enjoy these cinematics. For some context, League of Legends is much more than just a game these days. It's more like a multi-media franchise. They have multiple games under the League IP but also produce extremely high quality music videos such as K/DA and they now produce their award winning animated series Arcane that takes place in a small section of the League universe. A universe that has deep extensive lore on over 100+ champions (champions are what they call the playable characters in League)
In a way, it's sort of like Marvel where they have this world full of all these special characters with all of their own backstories, powers and ties to the world.

This is one that's completely enjoyable and epic with 0 knowledge of the lore, but with the lore, it makes these events mean so much. Riot's media team has mastered sprinkling lore throughout these. I believe Necrit released the breakdown video of the lore on this, so that's probably a good watch if any of that is interesting. The lore on this game is ridiculously expansive.
This can be divided into 3 primary sections with the intro scene being a short 4th.
In the intro scene you see Tryndamere surrounded, outnumbered, and obviously injured. His hazy view of the archer could be kindred (the masked archer at the end) or Ashe (the blue cloak with white hair) and i believe its meant to be ambiguous. Its both in essence and we get this context later.
The next scene is in the past. Kayle (the blue clothes, chestplate, blonde hair) and Morgana (purple robes and dark hair) are sisters and the daughters of the aspect of justice. An aspect is a host for whats essentially a god. Their mother gave them parts of her power which is derived from the swords they wield. Kayle follows her mother absolutely and delivers justice no matter what. Morgana is much more flexible and forgiving and believes in 2nd chances. They are defending what appears to be Demacia from an attack from Aatrox (the red and black demon looking mf) and his army of followers. Aatrox is difficult to explain quickly, but hes a Darkin, which is an ancient warrior who ascended in Shurima (a region far south of demacia reminiscent of ancient egypt). These ascended warriors were basically demigods. Some of them dabled in blood magic to become stronger, it worked, but made them partly insane and bloodthirsty. So they were forced to become prisoners, but they cant be killed or imprisoned traditionally. They had to be sealed inside objects, weapons. If someone touches these weapons the darkin's power can be used, but often they overpower and take contorl of the wielder. There are like 10-20 Darkin in total i think. Aatrox is actually the sword, not the figure in this, thats the wielder overpowered by Aatrox. Aatrox wants to destory everything to escape his prison. That doesnt even come close to doing the story justice. Back to scene, overpowering Aatrox is hard, hes one of the strongest characters in all the league lore. Morgana realizes that desperate measures are needed and calls upon magic, something frowned upon in Demacia. Kayle's side eye is disgust since she set down the sword of their mother in favor of magic. Eventually these two get into a big fight later and Kayle ascends to be the new aspect and Morgana chooses to stay on the ground and help those in need. Then kayle channels all the power of their mother with both swords and annihilated the host for Aatrox. If you look closesly you can see a silloette in the flames as the scene changes. Its the masked archer from the final scene. More on that later.
The next scene is so much more moving with the lore. No clue who the assailants are, why they are burning it down, but the old man is Yasuo and its in Ionia i think. Ionia is a peaceful region. Yasuo has a fuckload of lore so i gotta be breif. He uses wind techniques and death always seems to follow him for those he cares about. His master died, and he was blamed. His brother came for justice for their master and Yasuo killed him in the battle, etc. This scene of him looking like a farmer implies he finally set down his sword and lived a peaceful life. He draws the line and tries to knock them out without killing them. He killed a lot when younger. It's clear he doesn't want to or use his wind techniques at first, he would wreck those guys with them. When hes kicked he realizes hes not able to avoid using those and thats where he has the moment he closes his eyes as he accepts he must do more before he embraces the sword and his wind. When the wall comes up to block the hail, the man runs because he likely realized who it was and the legends probably followed. A super important thing is he coats the sword in wind, something weve never seen him do afaik. This confused me, but after several watches he never kills the men. I think he's blunted his blade and is knocking them all down with it like a stick or club rather than a blade. You see several near hits carey impact reinforcing this theory. At the end as hes chasing the leader, he looks up and sees a hail of arrows coming. You see him think fast and use a gust to knock him out of the way saving him from his own archers. Then closes his eyes seeming to accept death despite being able to avoid it as we've already seen with the wall. The bright arrow in the middle is from kindred and if you look at the trees in the background you can see the eyes of the wolf from the final scene. This is Yasuo's death and knowing all the lore and how this flowed, its beautiful.
The final scene... the one that stole the show imo. Ill just begin with kindred. Kindred is this universe's death. The lamb (the masked archer) and the wolf (the uh... wolf...), halves of the same thing. Split so death eould hsve company in its eternal existence. The lamb takes those ready and willing and the wolf takes those who fight death. Nobody sees them except when they are about to die. So this entire scene is actually Tryndamere, the man from the opening scene, fighting off those who surrounded him as he fights for his life, but he sees Kindred as he does not the actual enemies. *chefs kiss* Kindred is there to kill him as its his time. Now, Tryndamere has lore with Aatrox. Aatrox cannot die in a traditional method as stated before. Aatrox attacked Tryndamere's village at one time and seeing Tryndamere, thought he would make a better host, so he infused some of himself within Tryndamere to prepare him. When his eyes turn red and he goes crazy, this is that part taking hold giving him undying rage, his ultimate in the game of the same name makes it so he cannot die for a short period. Kindred leaping back with the tilted head seems to me to be confusion because he should be dying and isnt. Or she recognized Aatrox in him and didnt expect it. Then the lamb lowers the bow as the arrows fly in from behind behind. Kindred has called off because hes no longer going to die and he begins to see reality again, not kindred. The arrows came from Ashe, Tryndamere's wife who is one of 3 primary chiefs of the Freljord. Again... so much damn lore there. Their marriage began as political to unite tribes, but eventually became more and you see this here. Sight of her pulls him out of his bloodlusted rage. There's a lot more to why he's being attacked and by who, but im sure Necrit will cover all this and much more in his video.
I just felt like sharing this. Im probably wrong on some details. They're also currently changing some lore to make Arcane cannon, so some of this could even change later. Its just a good cinematic without context, but the context just takes it to another level.

The call of power (the ryze one) is alright. Annie: Origins is also unique and good and kinda horrifying. Breath (the legends of runeterra promo) is also really good.
The cool thing about Riots cinematic are the diverse art styles tbh. All good in their own ways. Except 2023 which nobody ever needs to see or remember. What was I saying?

The game itself is good but visually it's NOTHING like the cinematics. The game is a MOBA and you play it from top to bottom, you also control champions like these presented in the video with your mouse, however most League of Legends cinematics have an incredible production with amazing quality, even if you go back to older ones ofc you'll notice differences but it will be a treat to watch nontheless, it would be great if you reacted to those as well! A few that come to my mind are "Awaken" from 2019, "Warriors" from 2020 and "The Call" from 2022, last year was a flop so don't even bother, ofc this year tho, they redeemed themselves with this amazing production which from now on will be linked 100% with the lore of League of Legends.

The whole theme is "StillHere", referencing Kindred who is DeathIncarnate. Whether it's the Past (Morgana &Kayle), Present (Tryndamere), and Future (OldMan Yasuo). Death is "Still Here" no matter whattime it is. You can see Kindred in the Fires of thePast destroying Aatrox, Facing Tryndamere, andShooting a Fatal Arrow at Old Man Yasuo in thehead.

Hey, glad I found your channel again on this account of mine. Didn't you react to KDA in the past? Virtual kpop group by League of legends. Soyeon from g-idle, and Miyeon too, are in that group. But yes, all Riot Games cinematics and mvs are amazing. The music, animations, lore... The production goes all out. Definitely worth diving into this rabbit hole!
