I haven’t read every comment, but apart from the master watchmaker’s obvious skill and talent, no one has mentioned anything about the manufacture of these micro components! Absolutely awesome micro engineering. The mathematics behind even the ratios of the multiple micro gears is mind blowing! 👍👍
Watch making is really under appreciated. Nobody can imagine the level of effort, compassion and most importantly skill that they put in to get these beautiful masterpieces to the people out there. Not mentioning at the price that even premium, it doesn’t justify the their compassion and dedication
I agree. I work in a certified workshop above a Rolex ad and most watches go back to the customer without a thought, it’s just that bit more rewarding when you get a note or message from a colleague from the customer saying how much they appreciate your work.
I love it when a watchmaker is working on a Rolex so flawlessly and he is rocking a Panerai. Panerai fan here, great job and great choice on your watch
Although its pretty incredible seeing peoples knowledge on disassembling and reassembling watches. I think im even more blown away by the fact that someone actually invented these in the first place. All those pieces just to make 3 hands move. Wow!
I was offered one of this and I sold it to the prawn shop, that was my best part. I come from a CNC back ground abused in my work place when I see this, it reminds me of my suffering.
The Yacht-Master II is my favorite Rolex watch ever. They took the rotating bezel, which was already a brilliant innovation from many years ago, and they made it interface with the internal mechanism. That's what differentiates it from the original Yacht-Master. The original Yacht-Master was just an arguably better version of the Submariner that had nothing to do with yachting. The Yacht-Master II symbolizes Rolex as a brand, because it innovates and creates new things.

its so enjoyable watching the disassembly and reassembly of a movement that I knew nothing about, your video was for me the right length and with most relaxing music, 10/10 very well done.
The absolute precision and know how of the watch master are amazing. Every pieces inside the watch are much more complex than putting puzzles together. Now, I understand why Rolex es are so so valuable besides their marketing strategies .Low supply with high demand. A state of Art 🎨
It's less complicated than an average modern automatic transmission. The wonder for me is the small size and the manufacturing pedantry. Re the mechanism, it's a bit like Victorian era infrastructure ie great beauty even for a sewer or pumping station.
Spectacular , patience taxing and skill testing work touching the limits . I was holding my breath watching your steps with great sense of appreciation . Well done .
With so much precision and accuracy in this watch how does the technician know how tight to make the screws holding everything together? He just screws the screws until the threads causes him to stop? Could he possibly tighten the screws to much to where it would affect the mechanisms accuracy and balance? The guitarist Dan Spitz from my favorite heavy metal band, Anthrax, retired from the band and playing music all together and went off to Switzerland and trained to become a master watchmaker. So cool to see the inside of a watch and how its assembled. Hes the one who got me into watches. Ever since I was little anything mechanical has always intrigued me.
It never ceases to amaze me the sheer level of precision these pieces have, and the utter minefield of chaos it looks like to take one apart - let alone put it back together.
That is nuts! Sir you have a very cool talent, the patience, the touch the mental capacity to remember where all those tiny springs bridges and screws go! Wow.
There is something about watches that can almost summarize humanity. The outside appearance, inside appearance, art for sale, or art for love. The thought itself cannot be described in full, but only generalized
Awesome upload CRM! It really is an art how the components of the timepiece is to put together and how the watchmaker have to carefully pay attention to details. This type of work is truly a honest type of work. It just the watchmaker and the timepiece. 🇨🇦
Phenomenal skill in disassembling and re-assembly. Such deft hand, concentration, attention to even tiny details! By the way, what was done in that machine for 45 minutes? Cleaning? Washing? Drying? Probably, one more video is required about how these tiny precision components are manufactured? At least about some important components.
I believe that machine is an ultrasonic bath for cleaning the parts. It immerses them in water and applies high frequency sound waves to force dust and old grease to be released into the water, leaving the parts clean.
Cheers to ALL the FAM at CRM Jewelers. I also watch Wristwatch Revival, he shows you how to load the spring. I find these relaxing to watch. Thank you. I worked 25 years for my ESQ watch its nothing compared to what you see on here but i do appreciate it.

this reminds me of the anxiety of taking the plastics off my motorcycle and trying to keep track of all the parts and screws/fasteners and how they needed to go back....but multiplied by 1,000 because theres more parts, more screws, theyre WAY smaller annnnd that watch is worth about what my bike is worth 😂😂
