Adelaide vs. Melbourne
Adelaide and Melbourne both are two of the best cities to live in. In this video, we have compared life in Adelaide and life in Melbourne to explain what it is like to live in these cities.

I am living in Sydney at 420/ week for a studio. I have lived in Melbourne and Adelaide as well. I think Melbourne was best considering every thing. But jobs opportunities are more in Sydney. :) I will move to Melb after getting some experience.

To all those people asking about the job market. There are far more jobs available in Melbourne and Sydney. Adelaide's economy is not as strong and the job market is hyper-competitive at all levels - entry level post-graduate jobs in fields like finance and IT are the most difficult, with employers preferring to hire experienced individuals who are willing to work for less money than what they'd get in Melbourne/Sydney. This still makes sense given the cost of living (housing) can be significantly lower.
Part-time jobs in retail aren't plentiful either, though those people with a strong work ethic (make many job applications) should still be able to find such a job.
My question is that can we finish our postgraduate in Adelaide and shift to Melbourne for work/job?

Mr. Himanshu, as I recalled from the consultancy, I came to understand that, the main priority goes to students who have went to their home countries during sem break. Then only after that, u could get priority.
Bhai mere, though you are students but “$150 per week” does not make any sense. You told price of living in a shared house packed of students. May be you are choose to live in a house where each room is shared between 4 students, so one student paying $150 does not tell any truth about the actual living cost. Just tell that a 4 bedroom house is $xxx per week and it is up to you that how many of you want to share the house among themselves. For example, I am living in a rented 4 bed house in the suburb of Craigieburn (almost 20km from MELB CBD), and it is costing me exactly $1825 per month. Now anyone can calculate what sort of life standard he wants to choose, e.g rent a whole house alone or share it with 2,3,4 or say 10 students. More people = more mess but less cost, while less people = better standard of living but more cost. For example, though I came to Aus on Skilled visa and did not have money in the start, so I shifted with a house full of students. Though I paid very less but there was a lot disturbance due to boys coming late at night and making noise in the house, stealing of eggs and other groceries were very common, some of the swindlers tried to skip the rent and bills creating trouble for all the occupants, there ware almost 8 cars in the house and street was blocked, so neighbours started complaining about it, some people used to take whole hour showering because they knew that the water bill will be divided equally among boys so they did not care.
Now I have also seen groups of 2 or 3 older students renting a house. They live together for a longer period of time and very peacefully.
So please tell rent of actual house according to its size then students can decide themselves what kind of living they want while in MELB or ADELAIDE

What about mechanical engineering part time job opportunities. I want to do master in Uni of Adelaide in mechanical engineerin course which is in STEM! after 2 years I plan getting 20 points (5 education + 5 regional + 10 from STEM). It depends bro. Both has its own pros and cons. Melbourne might have a lot more jobs but at the same time, it will give less post study work visa and hard to get PR haha
