Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you! I knew someone else experienced this problem and I had hoped the answer would be uploaded!! Really appreciate you sharing this video!!
Thanks for posting. Using your video, I was able to superglue the clear plastic corner that broke and re-insert the white plastic lock mechanism. Now if the glue doesn't hold, I'll try your screws!
Thanks this is the problem I have been having with my Cuisinart, which is still under warranty. Been going round and round with their tech support for three months and a new lid and workbowl did not resolve the issue. It really is a massive design flaw!
Thanks so much for the video! I'm not mechanically inclined. But I have to be creatively frugal due to finances. When I analysed the lid, my only thought was to glue a loaded spring where you put the top screw. Then I thought to check UA-cam for ideas. I don't have the right size screws on hand and I live an hour from a hardware store. (As I said, I'm not mechanically inclined, but Im willing to learn! ) If I glue a spring in place of the screw on top.... Is the screw on the right a necessity? I'm guessing the function is to add stability to the weakened plunger once the top screw was put in place? I feel dumb asking, but I really want to fix the lid as a just can't afford to replace it.
This was exactly the fix I needed. Super easy. Took 5 minutes. My food processor is alive again! Thank you!

Worked to perfection, Thanks so much.
Just the idea I was looking for!

thanks very much! worked like a charm
Great video -- very, very helpful. One question: How did you remove the screw from the side?
