New sub here. I just purchased 2 tubes of the Ion Permanent Midnight Blue Black hair dye last week. But, I haven't applied it because I wanted to first find a UA-cam Video of a natural, who already used this hair dye. Your results were amazing! The color is gorgeous and your hair is beautiful and looks so healthy.
Perfect, i love that it's mostly black, with that blue undertone. Exactly what I'm going for. Doing my hair tonight and I had to watch some results of others to know what to expect
I kno it’s super late I might not get an answer in time but I’m about to dye my hair. I was wondering if the masque or any of the things pulled the color out your hair after dying? I wasn’t able to deep condition before so I really want to do it now after dying but I’m afraid it’ll strip the color 😩
I have really black hair I don't want to bleach it because I do love my her black hair but I wanna dye it purple how can I dye it without bleach and have a vibrant color
I was at Sally's today, they have a plum shade that would be perfect.. follow the same instructions with the plum color instead, it looks gorgeous and bright af
Also I have a question, it's just that I've been thinking about dying my hair this colour. But I don't want to bleach it cause I don't want to damage my hair. And my hair is really delicate and my parents wouldn't even let me bleach it. So should I buy a light denim blue colour hair dye and just dye my hair with that to achieve blue black/midnight blue hair color? By the way my hair color is brunette if you were wondering about that.
Awesome… what was the gloss for? I’ve always done the blue black dye (raven) but never used gloss with it. I’m curious as to what benefit the gloss does? Please assist with informative replies, thanks.
The gloss is supposed to be an extra shiny and nourishing formula. You can use it alone or mix it like she did here. She said she bought it by accident but it looks really good here.
Lol yea it's a very hard color to accomplish because the black usually overpowers the blue. That's why I wanted to test out a more concentrated formula rather than box dyes
You're probably better off mixing it with a blue dye or creating your own midnight blue by mixing black and blue hair dye until you reach your desire shade.
Pretty, mine always just looks black. I'm trying the ion semi midnight blue next (it doesnt say black on the box) so I'm hoping to get a little more blue tint even if it doesnt last long.
The thing is I feel to get a true blue tint you have to lighten your hair a bit but if not then yea it’s just black and in the sunlight you may get a blue tint lol
Hey, I have curly hair but since I am hispanic it's kind of wavy and straight but still curly. I want to dye my hair really red but I am scared I would lose my curls because I feel they suit me. Do you think I could do this without killing my curls?
ethereal intoxicated canary try dying your hair with manic panic (can work for brown hair without bleach). If you're going to use manic panic, you can leave it on for as long as you need to because it has no harsh chemicals. If you decide you want to bleach your hair, apply coconut oil the day before bleaching and don't wash it out before bleaching. After you dye your hair, don't use dandruff shampoos (you can use vinegar as a substitute for dandruff shampoo, and it makes the dye last longer) and I would recommend using shampoos and conditioners that say they're safe for color treated hair. Try not to tie your hair too tight and limit how much heat your hair goes through (no flat irons)!
just use manic panic/arctic fox colors. they are vegan which means they're made without all the harsh chemicals that are going to damage your hair and ruin/change your natural texture. U can use these without bleach to achieve a redish color, it'll be very red in the sunlight like highlights but it won't give you a "firetruck" red...
What happens if you don’t use developer. I’m sitting on the toilet with half my hair filled with the cream without developer because I wasn’t told that I needed developer and I’m not sure if I should wash it out and store the rest of the dye... help me please
Tsegereda Amani it might give the slightest tint I'm not sure but you use it without developer only for lighter hair what color was it before you applied?
I've heard permanent hair colors won't do anything if you don't use developer so you have to use developer with Permanent Hair colors not with Semi Permanent Hair colors
The best blue black without bleach video in UA-cam!🙌💯❤👌
This is the hair color that I’ve been looking for. The darkest blue is the color I need to achieve the blue black look. Love it 😍

Your hair looks amazing. I used to have blue black all the time.
First video I’ve found that showed me exactly what I was looking for. Thanks 😊
Super impressive that you were bold enough to do at home! I just posted a vid of my beautician coloring my hair midnight blue! Your results were bomb!
So the white changes color on it's own?..I have blue and I'm confused
This looks gorgeous! I'm definitely trying this!
I was just in Sally's contemplating between this and age beautiful darkest blue and blue black...I think this is a winner!!
I wonder how it fades out on blonde hair . I bleached my hair for awhile before I covered it
Yes! This dye fades a lot. I wouldn’t recommend it for long term use
On my Ion color brillance it states in bold words.. DO NOT MIX WITH PEROXIDE
Some of the semi permanent ion dyes are direct dyes, but she used the permanent dye that almost always requires developer.
RoseyBlu what are you trying to say I’m confused and I’m dying my hair tonight with this

this dye does fade fast. i honestly don't use it anymore
I have really black hair I don't want to bleach it because I do love my her black hair but I wanna dye it purple how can I dye it without bleach and have a vibrant color

Omg!!!u go girl!ur hair looks absolutely amazing!!+it ur real hair!...even better!..beautiful!!🤩
Omg thank you love!! 😊
Do you believe I should use a 30 developer to get more of a pure navy blue tint, or just get blue dye instead of 'blue black' ?
You're probably better off mixing it with a blue dye or creating your own midnight blue by mixing black and blue hair dye until you reach your desire shade.
You should only be using 10 volume developer. If you’re covering grey hair then use 20 volume developer.
What’s the name of the song playing in the beginning??
It’s a snippet of Ciara to the Stage by Ciara
Pretty, mine always just looks black. I'm trying the ion semi midnight blue next (it doesnt say black on the box) so I'm hoping to get a little more blue tint even if it doesnt last long.

do you know if it would show up on ashy dark brown hair?
You can try the temporary spray on color from a Jerome Brown

Tsegereda Amani I'm curious to know how this turned out 🤔
I've heard permanent hair colors won't do anything if you don't use developer so you have to use developer with Permanent Hair colors not with Semi Permanent Hair colors
is this going to be your permanent color now
For now, yes. i don't see myself changing it anytime soon
I love your hair
You should never cover up color because it needs the air to properly oxidize.
How long did the blue tint last in your hair?
Honestly the color washed out after a few shampoos. I wouldn't recommend this method for long term color
.
How did it wash out if it’s permanent?
Simply Subrena what would you recommend for a long term?
song please??
