I was at this concert and I cannot thank you enough for posting these videos . I also saw Harry Chapin at this venue right before he was killed in an auto accident. I really miss this great artist and man. I am still learning his songs and love playing them. In fact I have the very same Guild F-512 that he plays as a 12- string in this particular concert. Thank You again for sharing these videos !!
The voice that just sustains with warmth forever, , attached to fingers that provide the most perfect fingerstyle to accompany it, , then there is the weight of the meaning in the lyrics. Love you Dan!
That's a nice guitar, Guild seems to be the choice of a lot of musicians for the 12 string sound. I'm glad you enjoy the videos, I treasure them even more now that Dan has passed. "LET IT SHINE"
I was able to see Dan at the Civic Auditorium in Omaha Nebraska in 1978 or 79. A-Capella. He had a way of bringing everyone in. 3 years ago, I was with some friends riding thru the mountains in Colorado. We stopped at a beautiful lake and a quaint little town with a festival going on. WE were just passers by riding in the Mountains on our way to Estes. It was Nederland CO. No wonder I felt such peace there. you touched my soul and my heart Dan. And other than Donny Osmond, David Cassidy and Bob Seger you were one of my first heart throbs..........needless to say you are the one that will remain. Your songs sometimes make me cry but, they also get me motivated, give me hope, and remind me that "It's part of the Plan". Dan would you please give my Dad a big hug from me.
Could anyone here please let us know what Dan is saying before he starts singing? I made out the banter about the guy tuning his guitar but can't understand the rest...yes I have what they used to call "nerve deafness"...I can hear but can't make out the words. I know the lyrics but can't understand everything before. Thank you.
Cheers! Make Love Stay was inspired by " Still Life of Woodpecker", written by Tom Robbins. I still have no idea how this beautiful song was inspired by that. The storyline is so bizarre, with very bizarre characters. All I care, a great song came from it!!
I read the book also after hearing him mention it in concert. Seems to me like a slow burn laugh he had on us! But that's ok since he loved to to tell jokes.
You can for sure hear the Scottish in Folgebergs accent. From his mom an immigrant. Lovely sounding. ❤ Scotland forever! EVERY country forever!

He sang from the depths of his spirit! So much love and sweetness in his performance every time I saw him in concert.
still can't believe he has passed.....forever w/us and forever young.
The tears still come--for the loss of both the man and his music...
Lord, I miss this man! Thank goodness for these videos. God bless you, Dan!
Thank you, Tim.
Thanks Timmy, when I'm pain'in, listening to Dan and seeing his videos make me feel a little better.....we could sure use his music in these times...
The best of them all...
I so regret I never saw him live.
Wow...."incredible" doesn't begin to describe this performance of this song...
In my top 10. Miss him so much.
Great song, from a wonderful musician.
