Those new headlights look awesome! I just replaced the ones in mine, and I got this brand called new osram, they are LEDs. I got the idea from decent garage. My original ones were halogens too, and they had some water in them, I hear the seals suck in those halogens, and I believe it.
Actually where the water is probably coming in from I can’t say this for absolute sure but the lens and the reflector or two pieces would I recommend people to do is take some good carburetor cleaner I like to use Berryman B 12 ‘ cause it leaves virtually no residue and clean in between the lens and the reflector and put silicone around there or not to use very much just enough to fill that little gap and it doesn’t hurt to tad by little while I use the red high temp silicone on the connectors where they go onto the back of the headlight anyhow ha this is six in a row Jim
The headlights are pretty sick and from experience of driving the 80s 1st gens the lights are very much dim even when new bulbs are installed

I agree, stock headlights are crap, but $356.99 for those Amazon referral headlights? I paid $85.99 on Amazon, and these are DOT approved. (Afeax New Osram Chips 110W 5x7 Inch Led Headlights.). For the difference, I could buy the LED Tail lights and take the wife out on date night. While you’re at home explaining to your wife, why you paid $356.99 for some headlights. I know how my nights ending, I can only guess about yours.

Refresh/ paint the headlight bezels a non sun faded black again, it’ll make them look 10x better

I would have until I needed to fix that latch system lol now I don’t think I should just in case
@@LOUDNPROUD I would do the inspection plate separate from the tailgate so that it doesn’t stick together and you can still remove it if needed, that’s what I did on my ‘03 Cummins

For a lot less money are they probably don’t put out as much light as those headlights you got no daughter very good headlights the ones you put in your truck but I like Hella what I like about the hell a headlight is it puts the Beemont they’re really nice and also you can change the bulb in the event the light bulb itself burns out anyway I put them in my truck and I ran relays and I got a relay for high beam and relay for low beam and the power come straight from the battery it’s really neat set up man you got full voltage to the lights and that makes a big difference anyways this is six in a row gym from Kennerdell Pennsylvania I got that 91.5 back the house

Had the same or similar tail lights on my 3rd gen they looked sick but one fell off on a "closed course road that i had to pay to drive on" not the toll road cough going a 3 digit number speed
That 3rd gen sounds just like mine did, definitely miss the sound of a common rail. Had mine stole last year and they totaled it.

That truck is a 2nd Gen. Not 1st Gen. 1974 to 1980 is first Gen and 1981 to 1993 is 2nd Gen
Technically yes your right, but I think the majority of the guys who say the 89-93 are the first gens is on account of those trucks being the first generation with the diesel .
