Boudy, did you know JG wasn’t able to sing his own song when he wrote it? It was too painful for him. He gave it to Rocio Dúrcal and she was the first person to sing it under his direction. It took him a while to perform it as he did in Bellas Artes in 1990. Also this past April 16, 2024 THE US CONGRESS selected “AMOR ETERNO” and ‘El Cantante’ singer and songwriter JUAN GABRIEL to be added to The National Recording Registry as the best JG’s Classic song to be saved in this prestigious library for posterity. The song will be kept in Spanish and the video recording will be the one JG performed in 1990. As his loyal fan I am so proud to say Juan Gabriel was, is and forever will remain the most iconic, phenomenal, impactful, genius, generous and unrepeatable human being. Natalia Jimenez had the honor to meet JG. I’m glad she beautifully sang this song as a tribute to my Divo. Love to all..♥️♥️♥️
Do t know why he couldn't sing it when it was written for one of his best friends and is the story of a beautiful and tragic gay love. And I know this because I heard the story from one of the protagonists and saw the very page where it was written. There's so many missed conceptions about this song that is ridiculous. Whoever wants to hear the TRUE story hook me up.

Yo buddy, GET IN LINE ! You aren't the only one who immediately was star-struck hearing her sing. She has vocal power, range, and expressive stage presence. Though she was born in Spain and still uses that singing technique, when I hear her, she is dead on Mexicana. That is especially apparent when she sings the classic old timey songs. And not to worry, there's plenty of room on the Natalia bandwagon. Love your channel and insightful enthusiastic reactions.
Natalia Jimenez is originally from Spain, but she has basically adopted the Mexican Ranchera and been adopted by Mexico as on of their own. She is a next level talent. Everything she does is this good.

Hello Boudy every time I hear this song it reminds me of my mom and my dad may they rest in peace. When you hear this song it's almost a certainty that you're going to cry because the words are so personal to every individual. Our Juan Gabriel truly was a master in his craft. I would like to recommend the song El Destino with Natalia Jimenez and Carlos Rivera, also their Christmas song in English O' Holy Night.
