Yes I saw, I’m very excited for No Country on 4K. The others I’ll eventually upgrade as well but I do have 8 1/2 from Criterion already. The Sammo Hung film looks fun as well
Good segment! Yes. It is Bert I. Gordon as in "eye". They used to refer to him as Mr. B.I.G. from his initials, because of his penchant of making movies about giant people, animals or insects.
I should rewatch Black Rain, mostly because I love Osaka and Showa Era Japan. Not a fan of Ridley Scott. He never delivers any depth. Food of the Gods is fun and Squirm works. BTW it is Bert I Gordon, aka Mr BIG. Keep up the good work, Julian. Kingdom Of The Spiders has a killer ending and is a great movie for fans of the ever-evolving toupees of William Shatner.
Yeah I’m diving into the eco horrors this week which I’m excited for, I actually just watched Frogs (the 88 films release) last night which was fun. For me Scott is a director who has made some excellent films yet I’ve never made the dedication to have a shelf space to stack all his films together, I can just never be bothered.
No country for old men, 8 and half and Paris texas for 4k release just announced.

Awesome last haul from Cinemaniacs there, my friend indeed.
Thank you kindly

Now that is a Mr Big that I can get behind (unlike the guy from Sex and the City)
😅
