I don't care if people are negative about this video. If I've worked all day and want cake for dessert with my dinner, I'm going to use pre-made frosting. It saves a lot of work, and my husband is still just as delighted to have dessert. Thanks for the tip. By the way..I have connections with Betty Crocker's people. They are currently looking for a hit man. Don't open your door to strangers, it may be a deadly mistake. lol

I do this also, but I also add a stick of butter, it cuts the sweetness and makes it taste better

If you buy chocolate frosting add 2 tsps of unsweetened cocoa powder and wow does it really amp up the taste. Most will think it's homemade. For vanilla I add 1/2 tsp real vanilla, short cuts and time saver from making homemade.

the best part is that the manufacturers have a "extra whipped" version in the US so youre really getting half the amount you would haha

I prep store bought frosting with a lil bit of cream cheese and a dollop of cool whip (frozen whipped toping) it makes the frosting really creamy and not overly sweet. It taste homemade 💖👌

The texture is so much nicer when you do it like this. It's light and fluffy and not thick and gluggy like straight out of the can. Great tip!

To make it less sweet take 4 Tablespoons of cream cheese or half of a standard package of cream cheese, 4 tablespoons of Heavy Whipping cream and 1 teaspoons of vanilla extract. It will be lightly sweet and it pipes or spreads beautifully!

Brilliant! How many times have we bought 2 cans over the years, when we really only needed 1?!

Thank you, David! GREAT TIP!! I always bought 2 tubs of frosting because 1 was just never enough. Now, not only will the frosting go further, the fat and calories will be cut in half! (so will the price of the frosting!) :D

Looks more spreadable too! This is a total life saver, I have to make my dad's cake on his birthday so I don't have time to make buttercream.
