      It's the amount of flow not the pressure that makes the big difference so as a rule of thumb use 1" of FSC to 1 litre of flow. With a 15 lpm machine the maximum size you could get away with is 18". If you want a better result I would sell your Whirlaway and buy a 15" or a 18" at the very biggest

      Hi David
      If you have the budget for it I would get a 21litre/ minute at 200bar.
      Don’t bother getting a cheap one if you can manage not to as the don’t last and you can’t get the parts for them.
      Take a look at the washers for sale at PWS
      pwsce.co.uk/
      I think that job took the 2 of us a day and then a couple of hours returning to brush in the sand when it was dry.

      You are probably better off getting the Evo2 as it's the amount of water that makes for easier cleaning rather than pressure.
      The other good thing about the Evo2 is it's a very common machine so easier to get spares if needed.

    Without watching your video, I can say that 15 l/m is not enough in my experience. I have a 15 l/m pressure washer and it is a toy compared to my pressure washer which does over 21 l/m. You will notice the difference in removing the deep rooted lichen spots which you will never shift with the smaller machine. The speed difference is huge. A beefy machine gets the job done, no messing. If you only ever clean lightly soiled paving, you may be OK the bigger machine cuts the cleaning time by more than half.

      @SamuelPeden 3 роки тому +2

      That's interesting because the higher flow means lower pressure, I would have thought it would have been quicker but less effective at removing deep rooted lichen than a lower LPM but higher PSI machine.

    • @zaneslocombe8008
      @zaneslocombe8008 3 роки тому +3

      You can have both, high flow and high pressure. You have to match the nozzle to your pressure washer's capabilities (Dave's seems to be doing a great job). As you can see in the vid, SCD is using a wheelie bin as a buffer tank to ensure sufficient flow and maximum pressure. It is no good for a machine to running at max for an extended period, it will not last. There needs to be headroom. You are right, it is possible to use a tiny nozzle and get more pressure but the less flow volume there is and the smaller the jet, the more distinct the lines will be and the slower the operator will have to go to avoid creating distinct tracks.
