Does Berimbolo work in a fight?

- This video is short for a reason- A quick look at that crazy upside down thing some BJJ players do that makes it look like they're pretending to be inebriated octopuses doing ballet- aka: the berimbolo
Today's lesson:
_Everything_ goes if combined with frenzied knife stabs.
Why do you people keep training with that maniac?!
Hey no esperaba verte aquí!
Sigue subiendo videos
Maniacs can be a lot of fun!
Because if you can survive a maniac, you can survive anything. Or, maybe because it takes a maniac to think that berimbolo will work in a fight, LOL!
Ramsey just avoided the question because he knew that the berimbolo is to lethal for the streets
Regular Berimbolo or "Shank" Berimbolo?
He doesn't do berimbolo for the gym. He does it FOR DA STREETS

Wtf!! Bruce Lee died before he turned 33😑😑.....
Ohhh wait a sec..hmmmm I see what u did their literally 5 sec after I posted this reply😂😂
chuck norris can stop a chainsaw bare handed, but i bet he wouldn't last against jordan with a knife
Where's my grandma in a wheelchair? Fake list.

If I ever visit Shanghai I want to meet Jordan. At a safe distance
You will never be safe whilst in the same country as that mad man 😉
these videos make the JX Fight Club seem like it would be a great place to train.
Lesson being: everything works if you are crazy and have a knife...
I guess the answer is "only if you have a knife"...?
To be fair that's not really a berimbolo, that's more like an Imanari roll. Ryan Hall showed that it can be quite effective in MMA when done appropriately.
Wow i did not see all that coming lol
Knife maniac Jordan is the greatest running gag to have ever lived.
LMAO, wtf was that run?! I'm dying!
Jordan has clearly evolved!
U should fight master Wong
Best 2 minutes i've spent today.
clearly anything *can* work… Rodriguez's head down backwards elbow KO is about the weirdest thing ever, but somehow it actually worked even after he was exhausted from going 5 rounds. But really you want some high probability simple thing like running away in a street fight
Chris Capoccia If you have a solid basic striking and grappling game, you can make a lot of techniques work.
How Jordan is able to keep catching me by surprise is beyond me
Could you do a video about the martial arts that work best for MMA starters?
Thank you for sharing all this knowledge I'm new to this channel but I fucking LOVE It. Keep up the good work.
For striking
Muai tai
Kickboxing
Boxing
For grappling
Bjj
Wrestling
Judo
@@Oldhandlewasabitcringe What's the difference between Bjj and Judo?
Dovahkiin Septim they have the same roots, but Judo focus more on takedowns , BJJ more on ground fighting. There r techniques unique to their relative style, but the two styles also shares a lot of the same techniques.
@@tonywell5860 So I take that any MMA figther has to choose what works best of any style rather than sticking with the whole thing.
I learned two new things today.
1) Every technique works when you add knife.
2) Do not stay in same room with Jordan.
😱😱😱 OMG That running Jordan looks like a giant from Attack on Titan 😂😂😂
Hey Siri define this video
Siri: *QUALITY CONTENT*
Jordan seriously needs his own Channel. Upvote if you think the same!
My coaches hate berimbolo and pulling guard from standing. Makes me glad
Perfect knife technique will crush so called master wong's ego ! xD
I knew a guy who berimbolo'd himself to death. He would invert so often that he began to reverse the aging process. But he took it too far. He is remembered as Berimbolo Button.
Next question I have for your next Q&A video: *Have you ever found it difficult to train people in boxing or mixed martial arts who have prolonged experience with other, non-combat sports or people who are generally nonathletic?* I'm 19 and decided to start teaching a boxing class in my freshman year of college (trained 5 days a week for a year straight with 2 amateur fights and plenty of gym-gym sparring experience in between, and also previously seriously trained in an ITF branch of taekwondo for about 3 years.) For some reason I have found it difficult to break bad postural habits that come from most people with various sports/weightlifting backgrounds, and see it to be less difficult to get the technique through to those who hardly ever touch a weight or throw a punch. I'm interested in hearing your opinion.
@Mr Bones Ninja Maker It seems like I work best with people that have the ability to catch on what I'm trying to say fairly quickly.
I know this advice sucks but.. you have to use contact so their own bodies can talk todo their brains. So don't be afraid to push/punch/Kick them (softly but firmly) so they can feel it instead of think It.
@Mr Bones Ninja Maker I understand that's something I should do, but it's not as easy. I'll make sure to visit as many gyms as possible and pay attention to how the trainer deals with students, especially new ones.
That’s really not enough time hi be teaching. For about any athletic activity from tennis to badminton to martial arts you need about 7 years minimum, preferably 10.
Ramsey has mentioned in a video having a soccer player whose athleticism and leg power helped the students kicking , but the take away from that vid iirc is that people need to put a lot of effort and dedication in to get very good at any physical sport and that mental attitude is their biggest advantage in transferring to combat sports.
The berimbolo at the end got me Lmao hahahaha
That’s the best “mental warfare”
How to win with Jordan? You bring a gun to a knife fight.
Jordan used the WWE maneuver of using a foreign object.
1) Don't try to fight an armed opponent, you'll probably die.
2) Don't try to fight Jordan, you'll probably die.
Ramsey, you gotta fight Master "Wrong" at the next youtube celebrity boxing card. It could be a special MMA bout!
Jordan belongs in Hollywood!
Berimbolo only works in the street if you force your opponent to do it on broken glass
Jordan running away like an Abnormal Titan, HAHA!
I think the real lesson is frenzied knifing is the best self defense.
Any technique with that Mike Myers twist increases exponentially the chances of success. But jokes apart in a self defense situation it's more likely to face an untrained treacherous MOFO that will gladly pull a "Jordan" on your kidney while you grapple him for too long, than facing a trained figther.
Only the grandmaster of Mexican Martial Arts or Master Ken can accurately answer this.
The Canadian Lunatic, can make anything work. 👍
Berim-poke-o
Look up Lee Hammond MMA. Irish youngster, great BJJ practitioner. He pulled off a Berimbolo in an MMA fight.
*THE RAID: REDEMPTION*
*THE RAID: BERANDAL*
IT WORKS. Jokes aside, that intro reminded me of those films and if you guys haven't seen them... Jesus christ. You're missing out on two of the greatest action and realistically gory films of all time.
A little bit off topic but, what do you think about the boxer Butterbean? Do you think is was a good fighter or just a verry tough guy?
PS: Why Jordan can't control his impulse of stabbing people like everyone else?
Saludos desde Uruguay.......lo que sea que los argentinos te hayan contado de nosotros no es cierto.....probablemente.
Jajajajajaja!!! Man, Argentinians... I’m going to have to do a film study before I can answer that question. I’ve only seen a few clips of Butterbean’s fights.
I feel like membership at the JX Fight Club has started dropping significantly since this video was launched.
Today's Lesson : Knife attack don't care what you know .
Hi coach Ramsey, I have a question for you. Are there any quotes you've come across that have made you think, "thats a good wisdom" or have given you inspiration or insight in regard to your training, fighting, coaching or life in general? I like the way you use quotes from the bible or chinese sayings ; for example "glass heart", to give insight we can use in our own journeys to become better fighters and better people. Thank you for all your videos!
I'm not the kind of person that delves much into philosophical quotes, but I recently read "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu and I was interested alot in it. Some parts aren't relatable, like how to lead an army in certain terrains, but others were just great, and can be aplied to both fighting and everyday life.
The Tao te Ching is a great book
"A strong man stands up for himself, a stronger man stands up for others" -Ben
Well Al Iaquinta did that successfully against Kevin Lee
Jordan is comedy gold
Man you keep giving Jordan chances he's gonna keep taking advantage of you!
Jourdan? Someone's getting stab...yep there ya go.
I have a question for you Ramsey....
When are you going to start making ASMR? Your voice is legendarily smooth 👌🏻
Love that video
What about a video about how to defend yourself against magic knives?🤠
Hey Ramsay with regards to Master Wong I can see two options either you guys fight or maybe you guys could make a collaboration video?
That seems like a fancy name for a stupid move.
I want to come train with you great fun watching your videos
This was.... Amazing
ua-cam.com/video/v3x_TC0bmr8/v-deo.html
Not berimbolo but still funny video keep em comming also would like to know ur top 3 most used submissions while rolling (strictly jiu jitsu) cheers 😁
I love that maniac Jordan. Jajajaj Is he always like that??
your voice is amazing
I want to see a master Wong diss track by Ramsey
You can't go wrong with knives 😂😂
Can u pls make a video on how to prevent hurting/ spraining your fingers in BJJ ? I would really appreciate it.
Good advice
I wonder why jujitsu masters don't teach this simple technique with use of knife
Result! Act like Jordan if you’re that obsessed with self defence and not willing to train properly. That crazy run though... 😂
Go check out master Wong's response video 😂
Om the other hand a bear-in-bolo (tie) works every time.
So it work if you got a knife and if you play the "Benny Hill"-theme aka "Yakety Sax" everyone think it's just fine for fun.
So... if a zombie with a knife tries to do berimbolo it does work
Hello Ramsey!
I wish you could give me some advice. I am a 23 year old Taekwondo fighter in Finland and i started Taekwondo in January 2010 but started competing seriously in January 2018. My goal is to be a professional fighter, but its very hard in Finland. I tore my ACL in my right knee in July at the Finnish championship and had a surgery. I am now 2nd in Finland and i have a great coach and i want to reach to the top of the world and profe that old school Taekwondo is not dead. Now im suffering from depression a lot and i cannot fight until next year. Martial arts is what i love and is the only thing that keeps me going. If you have any advice for me, i will be very thankful. I love your videos.
Love that guy
Will you make a reaction video on Master Wongs reaction video?
All I got was just use a knife
Gotta love jordan
Is that a, yes...? er, no... m-maybe?
Does basketball work in a fight?
Ramsey dewey I’m 18 years old and looking to begin martial art. I’m interested to combine boxing and wrestling. However many people inclusive Firas zahabi disagree with combining multiple martial arts and believes that it will hinder you from reaching mastery. It’s almost like learning two languages at the same time. He believes you should train 5-6 times a week ala flow training so that you could progress as a great martial artist who is also healthy. But here we’ve only one wrestling club in the city and they don’t focus on beginners that much and they only have training on Monday and Thursday. There are couple of boxing clubs around the corner and I’d love to combine it with wrestling. However conditioning training in wrestling are brutal and if you combine it with boxing who also have a lot of conditioning+ having to go to school, have a job and practise some strength training would definitely tax my system. However I’d love to at least become an amateur MMA fighter and I know how important wrestling and boxing are in MMA? What recommendation would you give to someone like my who’s in this dilemma?
Could people stop mentioning Master Wong, I’m not speaking for Ramsey but it seems to me he doesn’t want to make any drama out of the situation
Ramsey knows he could annihilate Wong
Whats the difference between berimbolo and imanari roll?
@ Ramsey Dewey : please watch the following video on UA-cam : search for :
Shirai Hiroshi (makiwara training)
uploaded by osashotokan Published on Aug 19, 2011 and please give us your take on of the possible benefits of Makiwara training for MMA.Thank you in advance.
Q&A question: this winter break lasts one month and I was considering going to an mma gym. Is one month enough to learn the basic concepts such as striking and defending and can I expect a substantial improvement in my fitness level? All this considering seriosity coming from me sleep, training and diet wise
What better way is there to augment the 'bite the ankle' defense, than to block the opponent's attacks with your butt?
So it does work
Unsure if this video was a joke or if Jourdan actually tried to stab everyone to death
Would love to train with u guys.
Jujitsu is good for one on one, not so much if the guy your fighting has buddies... Of course, that is probably the case with most martial arts.
But, at least with stand up type martial arts, you aren't on the ground and defenseless
Isn't this an Imanari roll? (Which btw has been done in MMA several times)
Hey coach just wanted to know your views on DK Yoo and systema and I love your videos.
I’ve made videos about both
@@RamseyDewey thanks I watched it it was for the most part just as I thought except the point that u said that one inch or zero inch punch is a push actually I have researched quite a bit (but keep in mind I just turned 19 Today so I may be entirely wrong with my concept) but anyways according to my research it is said that if you from your feet to the fist generate the power in less than 0.2/0.3 sec then it is not a push.
Anyways sorry for the long follow up 😅
Keenan says berimbolo doesnt work at all anymore.
P.S. youtube search "Imanari roll to heel hook mma fighter"
That Jordan guy looks pretty tough, i sure as hell wouldnt want to be the one to tell him his tech wont work in a real fight lol
Does pogo stick juggling work against multiple opponents?
yes it does!
Should have done more crunches.
Mwahahahaha!!! Yes!!! Thanks Natalie Bradner & Brian Fury!
Mwahahahaha!!! Yes!!! Thanks Natalie Bradner & Brian Fury!
If I ever go to your gym. Can I train with Jordan?
Well if your a white belt like me then it works on white belts like me.
Mind blown
thanks
You have some reading to do master Wong's book
is Jordan a zombie extra in all zombie films?
TAKE HIS SHOE-
Oh... Wrong video ☺️
