I never had to wait in line at berghain. Here are two ways - 1) go around 7am, that's when the party gets weird and fun. 2) befriend some dj's. Berghain is cool and all but there are much better clubs/parties in berlin. Berghain is like times square in nyc, tourists love it but native ny'ers hardly ever go there. I haven't been there in many years but ask about beatstreet, it's a sunday afternoon party held at different locations every week. Not that is a party, berlin style. And if you're still up you can meet up with the rest of the people that made it through the weekend without sleeping at bar 25.
