You saved me buying a new TN227 cartridge! Had to trim a small piece of plastic off the old chip assembly to it fit the new cartridge but simple, simple, simple! THANKS!!
Awesome video! Thank you for your help!! I had to ‘shave’ the posts against the cartridge to make the Brother chip bracket snap/lock into place. Once I did this my cheap toner worked perfectly! Thank you again!
This works also works when you buy a toner ink cart that comes with a defective chip. I used my old toner's chip, switched with the defective one and it worked. Thanks

ARE YOU REFILLING IT ? OR JUST BUYING OEM TONER AND SWAPPING THE CHIP?
How did you use this trick? I have a cartridge that I KNOW is not empty yet, just low. Is there a way to make it continue to print until truly empty?
Does anyone know if there is a battery for the chip located somewhere?
Can this be done with an OEM starter cartridge too? I only have starter cartridges and running out of toner soon.
UrokLizard You may need to switch the chip from your Brother toner and put it on the OEM toner.
Yes. It works for me
