Amazing reaction. :) If you continue to listen to Lovebites you will be impressed with every new song :) This is Lovebites! You should try "Set the world on fire" or "Holy war" on their official youtube channel. It is awessome songs! Thank you for your reaction and welcome to the Wolfpack! Hope you will continue with Lovebites reactions!
LOVEBITES is my favorite metal band, and they absolutely could go toe to toe with legends. There is quite a phenomenon happening in Japan with these female artists. 🤘🐺🤘
@@metalmark1214 It can seem that way and honestly been doing some reflecting on that question after seeing another reactor's comments about an apparent obsession with these Japanese bands now. Is it because they are female, or maybe is it because they are Japanese??? I'm fairly new to this band compared to the majority of the WOLFPACK, but for me its the complex, and classical influenced composition that this band has infused into metal that I'm really loving. That, plus the technical skill this band has. Checked out the studio cuts and then watched them reproduce that live, and at a level of technical precision almost never seen. Yep, it's the talent, nothing more.
@@waterwalker9600 I don't mean cult in a negative way, maybe loyal fans is a better description. I see the same with Iron Maiden, Rush, Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead and other bands. I probably have not listened to Lovebites enough, but it seems that there music stays at a fast tempo, not changing too much. That's why I like the song Epilogue. Since you are more familiar with them then I, please give me suggestions of songs of theirs with the most change ups and tempo changes. Thanks
@@metalmark1214 Ah, OK. I can see that, I'm an old IRON MAIDEN fan since forever LOL, so yeah...LOVEBITES caries the old-school heavy metal touch now. So, have you checked out NEMOPHILA?
What the heck did I just witness? That was something else! I think I enjoy this as much as Nick does, this is my first time hearing these ladies, and I'm hooked. I've heard some Japanese metal before, but this takes the cake. Bravo!
You're in for a treat, because this isn't even one of their top-tier songs. Wait until you see more of what they can do, you'll have found your new favourite band. 😁
To use one of my favourite metaphors by Terry Pratchett (RIP): Lovebites don't just take the cake, a packet of biscuits with sprinkles on the top, and a candle, but also the trifle, the sandwiches, and a man who makes amusing balloon animals afterward.
Power Metal, Hard Rock, Thrash Metal, Rock Ballads, 2 or 3 styles in one same song, this ladies are this and much more... And this is not even one of their "top" songs.
Yeeay you made it to Lovebites. The floodgates on your comments will now open. The Roland piano to stage left, left of Miyako, guitarist stage left, is played as an intro for the track “Swansong”. She performs Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude no less. She studied piano from age 3, was set to become a concert pianist, then, aged 18, taught herself guitar, from a book!. She is a prodigy, but every member of the band is unbelievably good at what they do. There are no album fillers, and they play live as well, if not better, than in the studio. My favourite band, like ever ! And I’m 62!
It doesn't get any better than Lovebites, easily one of the best metal bands on the planet....Also I've seen the Iron Maidens live many times and they are a fantastic tribute band with great guitarists.🤘🐺🤘
Oh boy, so few female rock bands? Not so fast! Japan has had an active all-girl metal scene since at least 1981. This is a starter list of all-female (or in eight cases, mixed gender) metal, punk, hard-rock and post-rock bands, with founding dates where I know them. It's alphabetical, except for the first three, which are at the top of the list for historical reasons. They set the table for the explosion of Japanese female hard-rock, punk and metal bands. Note: I have tried to pick clips that are reactor-friendly because they are high quality and are representative of the band's style. You are likely to get suggestions mainly for Band-Maid, Babymetal, Lovebites, Nemophila, Unlucky Morpheus and Wagakki Band. You can’t go wrong with any of those, but I hope you will find time to check out more of the bands on this list. They are all worth the time and deserve the love, and many will really surprise you. My personal favorites include Asterism, Bridear, Doll$Boxx, existTtrace, Hagane, Hanabie, Mary’s Blood, Sokoninaru and Tricot. Ok, the list: Show-Ya (1981 The original female J-metal band, founded before Metallica-this is from their 24th (!) anniversary concert-and they are still touring) They belong in any rock or music hall of fame: “I am the Storm” ua-cam.com/video/oJ_5Gv3vFjQ/v-deo.html Shonen Knife (1981 The world’s first bubblegum punk band. And of course, there are other female-fronted Kawaii-metal groups like Ladybaby and Ironbunny, to name the two best-known after Babymetal. If you find others you think belong on this list, please let me know. And if you find a dead link, also please let me know so I can fix the list. Thank you!
@@theheepster It is not an opinion only held by this one person. You have not seen this band's full repertoire so how could you judge? This is one of their more obscure songs. As to "growing up", I think a person who uses infantile vulgarity and insults against a person for expressing an opinion they don't agree with is the one who needs to develop a little more maturity.
@@michaelafrancis1361 If you had read correctly, you would have noticed that I described the visual appearance as K-Pop goes Metal. What goes against the grain is that people do not read correctly and then see themselves and their favorite band attacked and post like wild on it. And if one attacks me, then I defend myself verbally. By the way, the music I find namely quite ok. So even you, better read and this lehrer fuss please leave. Thank you.

Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out: Their most recently posted live clips, “Set the World on Fire” ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html and “Don’t Bite the Dust” ua-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/v-deo.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”. "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ua-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/v-deo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html; “Holy War”: ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html Miyako is also a professional-level classical concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude”. Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: ua-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/v-deo.html. For a thrasher with heavy Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” ua-cam.com/video/G021aP2ao6Y/v-deo.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ua-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/v-deo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular: "Shadowmaker" ua-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/v-deo.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world "When Destinies Align" ua-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/v-deo.html "Glory to the World" ua-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/v-deo.html "Winds of Transylvania" ua-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/v-deo.html. You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
Masters of Metal, Angels of Steel! :) Funny coincidence: After watching your Midnattsol-reaction a few hours ago, it somehow crossed my mind that it was time for you to finally listen to Lovebites because you would love them and a few hours later this reaction pops up! As far as old school metal is concerned, their composing and playing skills are second to none! My musical revelation as regards metal (preferably Thrash) was Metallica's "Ride the Lightning" in 1984 which might explain why I especially like Lovebites Thrash Metal-songs (the first song by them I heard in 2018 was one, namely "M.D.O."), but they also play other old school metal styles on such a high level that I can say I haven't heard a single song by them I don't like! And I don't think I've ever heard any other metal band whose official live-recordings I've enjoyed as much as those of Lovebites, also because they usually sound even better than the studio recordings! Since you explicitly mentioned Helloween in this clip, I wonder what you will say when you eventually get to hear "We the United" (lyrics-wise IMO the brother/sister in spirit of "How Many Tears"), especially the solo section! Or you can check out Lovebites' cover version of "Eagle Fly Free". On the subject of all-female metal bands, I can name three from the eighties I like, namely the Swedish Thrash Metal band Ice Age, the American (moderate) Thrash Metal band Meanstreak (three of their members are married to members of Dream Theater) and the American band Phantom Blue (BTW, their drummer plays now in The Iron Maidens). The latter had two very good shredders - Michelle Meldrum (RIP) and Nicole Couch - which showed in several solos on their debut, but their songs were only about half as long as most songs by Lovebites, more polished and definitely not on the same musical level.
Fantastic band!! They are mainly known by their power metal tracks like this but they play many styles!! 🤘🐺🤘 From ballads to speed metal they do a bit of everything!! Thanks for the request and thanks for checking them out!!
Welcome to the Wolfpack! They are the true heirs of heavy metal. As a huge Maiden fan it took me almost 10 seconds to recognise the version 2.0 😅 Wanna see them in Wacken? “Above the Black Sea” ua-cam.com/video/Y9w81lmw2no/v-deo.html 🐺🤘🏻

As others have commented, Japan is almost awash with awesome female metal/rock bands. The ones I have seen, sadly only on video are humble, gracious and a joy to watch. So different from many western male bands of the same genre.
Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄

Although they are my personal favorite at the moment, Lovebites is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the all-female Japanese metal scene! It's a really awesome hole to dive into! The average musician over there could go toe-to-toe with the best that the US and Europe have to offer! You should also check out Nemophila, Aldious, Band-Maid (more hard rock, but some metal), Fate Gear, Bridear, Hanabie, and of course, Babymetal! The female bands are dominating the scene in Japan. Lovebites are the only one, however, that sings in all English. Nemophila, Band-Maid, Aldious, Fate Gear, Bridear and Babymetal sing in a mix of Japanese and English. I'm not sure if Hanabie has any English lyrics or not. Also, the drummer for Aldious (Marina Bozzio) is the step-daughter of American drum legend Terry Bozzio, of Frank Zappa and Missing Persons fame, so she's a great reason to check them out!
Good calls! Let me add some more awesome all-female J-metal bands: Ark Royal, Hagane, Little Lilith, Madaseka, Orochi (formerly RagDollz), Paradoxx, Pinkish Crown, Moth in Lilac, Unpredix, Full Moon, Doll$Boxx, and more. And there are some great coed bands adding to the number of female metal musicians killing it in Japan: Unlucky Morpheus, The SheGlapes, Saiseiga, Whiskey Dust, etc. The metal scene over there is _fire_.
Yeah, that anecdote regarding Marina is really cool. I wouldn't say that the female bands dominate the scene though. They are popular, especially in the West, but most bands in Japan are still mostly made of men. But there are a lot of female musicians in all genres.

Check it out with your wife I know she is going to love it. One other thing about these amazing ladies especially Miyako the dark-haired guitarist (on stage left) loves to infuse the classical elements into all of the songs she composes, Check out Swan Song with the Chopin intro ua-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/v-deo.html
I love the Iron Maidens. But Lovebites is easily 2 or 3 levels above them in talent. They won the 2018 Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. My friend you have to see more Lovebites because they have many more songs even better than this one. Check out Holy War live or Set the World on Fire live next. Also, there are hundreds of all female rock and metal bands in Japan. Lovebites is one of the best, if not the best.
Finally the ladies of Japan getting some love. Love Bites are an amazing metal band that are getting all of the attention that they deserve. I am going to throw my hat into the ring for Band Maid. They are the perfect Band for you and Alexia. Heavy outstanding musicianship, amazing vocals and harmonies with touches of prog and great hooks. Oh, their bass player Misa is off the chain and has the nickname "The Silent Assassin". Start with their official live video of their song Domination. Yes, the ladies in Japan are breathing new life into Rock and metal. Rock and metal is alive and well, sometimes you just need to stop going to the same sources to find amazing talent. In this case the Japanese women are blowing doors on most bands but the music industry doesn't really care.
Although my UA-cam name is R.Gray, for this channel I use R.G. because Rob Gray Goes by the name R.Gray. I'm the guy who has in the past requested Jimmy Herring, Mahavishnu, Dixie Dregs, The Aristocrats, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, etc. Mostly guitar oriented stuff. If you noticed the piano onstage, that's because the guitarist on the right also plays classical piano. For example the intro to the song "Swan Song" is a Chopin etude. Dean guitars made her a signature model. You can see these ladies with Marty Friedman on Y.T. videos of Japanese TV talking about their influences. There are a number of Japanese all female metal bands these days. I'd also recommend the hard rock all female band Band-Maid, who dress in maids costumes and play really well. Their song "Freedom" gets recommended to Y.Tube drum teachers to react to because of the drum solo. I tried to put the link to that one at the end of the submission for this song. There are other things I want you to see, but I'll have to wait for general requests to open up again. Top of the list is a female bassist from India who has jammed with Guthrie, Vai, Skolnick, and MacAlpine, on a fusion number with a Russian guitarist.
You are correct. You have a lot more requests than I that have gotten through so you deserve the credit. This is a real nice find by the way. For any future ones I get on, I'd actually prefer for mine to be tagged as Rob Gray.
@@RGRG3232 Nearly all of those requests that went through for me last year were from one instance, back when it was possible to make multiple requests at once, and I had a whole list ready to type. They just spread them out. Between then and this new recent metal category possibility, I hadn't been having much luck lately either, except for the Joni Mitchell / Metheny one, which was actually a rescued failed attempt at a marathon request. Yes, it's true that if your requests were under the name Rob Gray, I wouldn't have to keep reminding them to refer to me as R.G.
You're going to be "spending some time in Japan", Nick. I'm 58 and some of the best music I've ever heard and best musicianship I've ever seen is coming from there. Seriously, it's UNBELIEVABLE. If it's metal you're looking for then Lovebites is probably at the top of the heap, so if you liked this there are many other great songs. I lean more in the rock/hard rock direction and I could not recommend any band, of any genre, or of any time period more than Band-Maid. A good starter song is "Domination" - live. It'll give you a taste of what they are about but their catalog of music is staggering in variety and range. Be warned, they're very, VERY addictive. So much so that I'm driving from western Colorado to Phoenix in October to see them in concert. With Lovebites, you've met The Wolfpack. With Band-Maid, you'll meet The Maidiacs. 🕊
Hi Nick, I must have missed this in the notifications. I watch a lot of scambating videos as well like "Kitboga" so funny yet saves many victims from scammers, so I do get a lot of notifications on that subject. Lol ... I just saw this and it said it was almost 20 hours ago posted. Oops ! Glad I caught this. That was brilliant ! I saw a girl band on u.t doing covers of Deep Purple. Sorry I can't remember the name. So good to see these females basically knocking it out of the park. Such talent. Thankyou for this, that was great. Hope we get some more, maybe ? Byee Jim X
I think that Japan must have the most all girl metal bands of any country in the world, well at least bands that are well known. Lovebites, Band-Maid, Aldious, Cyntia, Bridar, Mary's Blood, Nemophila. My favorite so far of Lovebites is Epilogue. A mellower tune but great song. Also love the song Spirit Black by Aldious, that one really rocks. Check it out.
hi, in the far east (mainly japan) there's quite a bunch of girl bands. you can definitely call it a scene. some have been named already in a previous comment. lately i've been struck by the VOB (voice of baceprot) train. quite a unique girl band (they're from indonesia). higly recommended, if i may add
There are countless Japanese ALL Female Rock/Metal Bands. You need to check out BAND-MAID, Nemophila, Hanabie, Aldious, Trident .... There are to many to list. (they are ALL ELITE musicians also) :)
Lovebites is just the tip of the iceberg, Nick. The Japanese music scene kicks ass. Especially the all female Japanese rock, hard rock and metal bands. Lovebites, Band-Maid, Nemophila, Bridear, Aldious, Fate Gear, Hagane, Trident, Paradoxx, Mary's Blood, Little Lillith, Ark Royal, LianRouge, Unpredix, Vanquiet, Lonesome Blue and countless other bands. Rock is alive and well in Japan. Thank you Japanese ladies.
One of the members of The Iron Maidens Drummer Linda McDonald originated in The Band Phantom Blue who had 2 awesome albums. another favorite of mine also from the 90's was Vixen I loved Jan Kuehnemund (R.I.P)
Very nice reaction, and welcome to the world of Japanese Female Metal. Japan has tons of female bands... Lovebites, Nemophila, Band-Maid, Bridear, Fate Gear, Aldious, Trident, Hagane, Lonesome_Blue, to name just a few. There's a whole new world to explore, have fun with it...
Hey Nick, This band got their name from the song Love Bites (So Do I) by the female-fronted band Halestorm (and their singer Lzzy Hale was an influence for Love Bites' lead singer). You should do a reaction of the "live in the studio" version of Halestorm's Love Bites because it rocks and Lzzy sings her butt off!
There are many all girl bands now; they are in Japan. Trident, Nemophila, Mary's Blood, Bridear, Fate Gear, Fern Planet, Lonesome_Blue, many more. With new ones coming out all the time. Sadly, you have to hear about them on youtube because most are not promoted in the States. Japan has really grabbed the rock ball and run with it!

The demo of "Signs of Deliverance" dates to January or February 2018, and Lovebites have been playing it live since July 2019, when it was still untitled. Miyako said that she and Midori would be tapping together in the center of the stage!
Miho the bassist founded the band with Haruna the drummer they were in Destrose before they formed Lovebites Miho's idol is Steve Harris as you can tell and Harunas favorite band is Helloween. Midori the blonde is inspired by Nuno Bettencourt and Yngwie Malmsteen and Miyako the dark haired guitarist is inspired by Ritchie Blackmore and Gary Moore. Miyako also plays Piano classically trained and has a solo album on piano called EtudeOp23 with 6 covers 1 or her own band Lovebites addicted,Deep Purple Burn, Yngwie Malmsteen Far beyond the sun, Gary More The Loner, Metallica Battery, and Eagle Fly Free Helloween she made a video of also Lovebites covered Eagle Fly Free Hellowween as a band also.Japan Has many all female bands Band Maid, Nemophila,Aldious,Mary's Blood, Hanabe, Gacharic Spin,Bridear,Fates Gear,Hades,Trident, and Show-ya also many female led bands singer or guitars like East of Eden founded by the Violinist, Another metal band incorporating violin is Unlucky Morpheus, and then there's another 3 piece band called Asterism that has mostly instrumental amazing stuff the Guitarist is only late teens and she's extremely talented her name is Hal-Ca the bassist has a 7 string bass and also can play like a guitar at times. As far as Lovebites goes they have 4 whole albums,6 lives, 4 EP/Singles and 1 compilation album and your favorite song will always be the one playing at the time there are no fillers.
The founder and Bassist Miho her idol is Steve Harris Iron Maiden Judas Priest Slayer, Helloween are all inspirations bringing back 80-90's power metal with a modern flair next I would suggest Lovebites Holy War ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html
Nobody has sent you down the Japanese rabbit hole before? Lots of amazing bands. Since you're an Iron Maiden fan , check out another all women metal band Nemophila and their covers of The Trooper and Aces High. Also Lovebites' The Crusade, which is based on Aces High and is their Iron Maiden homage.
Next live songs Raise Some Hell, Set The World On Fire, The Hammer Of Wrath, Holy War, cover song audio PAIN KILLER(Judas Priest) Check another all female TOP Metal Bands NEMOPHILA - songs Revive, Dissension, Raitei, Ray Of Light, HANABIE - song We Love Sweets BAND-MAID - live songs Freedom, On Set, Moratorium, Play, Thrill,
This song is way down on the list of LoveBites songs. Most people start off with "Holy War" live at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo 2020 or "Shadow Marker" official MV. Since they are primarily a Power Metal band. They also play Thrash Metal, think Iron Maiden and Metallica. There are many songs that Miyako's (dark haired) guitarist amazing skills on the piano/keyboard. The best is "Swan Song" with Chopin intro. Next is "Empty Daydream" 2019 where she starts off with Rachmaninov on the keyboard.

Female metal? Japan is full of it. Aldious, Marys Blood, Nemophila....and many more. Important to me, is the metalcore band Hanabie. The most brutal girl voice I heard. Yes...I know people will scream Tatiana now... 😃
There are dozens of really excellent all female hard rock and metal bands is Japan. You should check out some of these: Nemophila, Mary's Blood, Bridear, Fate Gear, Doll$Boxx, Aldious, Band Maid, Hanabie, Serenity in Murder, Anarchy Stone, Ark Royal and these only scratch the surface. There is a database on line listing around 600 all female bands in Japan.
It seems you'd be totally surprised, how many, I almost said countless, fantastic all female rock and metal bands there are at the moment in Japan. With such fantastic musicianship. Though Lovebites is of course absolute the top tier in the heavy metal sector. If you're also interested in the best hard and heavy rock band at the moment, you might try some Band-Maid, for example "Domination" live.
Top metal band, period. That being said, gorgeous all women bands playing metal at this level is ......unusual. This track is nowhere near a top ranked track from them.
You seem surprised to find a female heavy metal band. That tells me straight away that you are unfamiliar with the Japanese music scene. The number of insanely talented Japanese female rock and metal musicians is quite frankly staggering; so much so that many people (myself included) believe that Japanese women are currently carrying the torch for rock and metal. You might want to, as well as delving deeper into the incredible Lovebites, take a look at bands such as Nemophila, Bridear, Aldious, Band Maid, Mary's Blood, Unlucky Morpheus, Doll$Boxx, Babymetal, Asterism, Wagakki Band and well the list goes on. This is a very deep rabbit hole you've stepped into.
maid cosplayers can be replenished immediately no matter who leaves. did you understand that it's a performance that anyone can do? they don't need any education or academic background, because they are employees of maid cafe.
Hello from England. You think that this is good? Check out Band Maid. Listen to Play or Freedom or Domination or No God or Dice and prepare to be enslaved with the rest of us. Then listen to Daydreaming and About Us. Enjoy.
Why does that matter? I simply don't enjoy Band-Maid nearly as much as I enjoy Lovebites (or various other bands for that matter) for a plethora of reasons. And I'm certainly not the only one. Band-Maid's music is certainly not bad, but not exactly great to me either.
Nick, I'm watching a few live performances. I think folks are right on the money with the track "Holy War" live, as a track to react to WITH Lexi. She will be MIGHTY impressed . . . heck, I am. Also, seeing older performances at Euro Metal Festivals, you can see where the Drummer Haruna ""Little BIG Engine" has a smaller kit but has now graduated to a bigger kit in this video, no matter the size, she hits the battery like a cannon, and intricately too! I think I've got a crush on the Bassist "Miho" now, who apparently was the leader, but she sadly left the band :(. Be sure to see the Guitarists info Nick, on who inspires them and their education: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lovebites_(band) . . . I think Lexi will _like_ them 😄.
Everyone in my small village from England knows who they are...can't stop raving on, abt how amazing Lovebites are.
My Lovebites 🏴 🐺 🤘 Above all others
My favorite band. Welcome to Lovebites amazing world. These ladies are crazy talented. GLORY TO LOVEBITES

You should try "Set the world on fire" or "Holy war" on their official youtube channel. It is awessome songs!
Thank you for your reaction and welcome to the Wolfpack! Hope you will continue with Lovebites reactions!
Thanks for finally getting to these ladies......stay on course, please! You won't regret it! 👍🤯
This band has no peer. They are the real deal. True musicians. You ain't seen nothing yet.
LOVEBITES is my favorite metal band, and they absolutely could go toe to toe with legends. There is quite a phenomenon happening in Japan with these female artists. 🤘🐺🤘
They seem to a a cult following.

First time hearing them. I must say they are very impressive.
@@MissLoonasSpeech very well said!
@@PaulEMoz yes I'll definitely be doing some deep diving.
And I’m 62!
Miyako hated that piano.
congratulations. you´ve just found something very precious.
Yes all you said is true but these Ladies are the best😎🐺🤘
Bloody Lovebites 🐺 Love these ladies. Addicted 🤘
Ok, the list:

No better band on the planet right now - flawless songbook and unique live performances. These queens of Metal walk in beauty.
What can I do for your wet dreams. Grow up. If this is the best band in the world at the moment, the music is not in good shape.

Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981).
As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out:
Their most recently posted live clips, “Set the World on Fire” ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html and “Don’t Bite the Dust” ua-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/v-deo.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ua-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/v-deo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html;
“Holy War”: ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html
Miyako is also a professional-level classical concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ua-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/v-deo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
"Shadowmaker" ua-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/v-deo.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
"When Destinies Align" ua-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/v-deo.html
"Glory to the World" ua-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/v-deo.html
"Winds of Transylvania" ua-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/v-deo.html.
You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
Welcome to Lovebites.
From ballads to speed metal they do a bit of everything!! Thanks for the request and thanks for checking them out!!
Lovebites is Asami (vocals) Miho (bass) Haruna (drums) Midori (blond pony-tail - guitar) Miyako (black hair - guitar/piano/keyboards)
Welcome to the Wolfpack! They are the true heirs of heavy metal. As a huge Maiden fan it took me almost 10 seconds to recognise the version 2.0 😅

Thanks Nick - that's the highlight of my Friday already !!!
(Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)
Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
Goodness me! That was a big surprise. A perfect performance!

Yes
This only shows a fraction of what they are capable of. Awesome band.
Great job 👏🏼. Smart request and fun reaction. ✨😉
LOVEBITES - Signs of Deliverance lyrics:
Locked inside of the dark
You can't see me with your eyes
A prisoner of your past
You're so far away from me
Hiding will not save you
You're just drowning in your dreams
Close your eyes and feel your heart
Cause our time is limited
A trivial fatalist
Rusty activist
All you do is breathe out poison
Like a ghost with no place to go
Can you hear? This is my word
Brave until the end
In this moment, we're alive
Even though the sadness will never fade
Brave until the end
I won't cry for yesterday
I am here, and I will go on living day to day
We are all in solitude
Even with a fragile heart
Your true face under a mask
No one knows who you really are
A trivial fatalist
Rusty activist
All you do is breathe out poison
Like a ghost with no place to go
Can you hear? This is my word
Brave until the end
In this moment, we're alive
Even though the sadness will never fade
Brave until the end
I won’t cry for yesterday
I am here, and I will go on living day to day
SOLO: both
Brave until the end
In this moment we're alive
Even though the sadness will never fade
Brave until the end
I won't cry for yesterday
I am here, and I WILL go on
Brave until the end
In this moment, we're alive
I am here, and I will go on living day to day

The saviors of Heavy Metal!....and yes they are prog once in a while ;) "Epilogue" and "A Frozen Serenade"...they ARE a heavy metal band, but they challenge boundaries once in a while!

Yeah I have seen many of The Iron Maiden's cover songs but they don't have anything compared to Lovebites, these ladies are even making the male band look like amateurs. These beauties are all been classically trained pianists since childhood, and all are composers and writers the main lyricist is Asami the singer. I know you guys love a lot of prog-rock and prog-metal check out "Edge of the World" ua-cam.com/video/UZjxMjBop7w/v-deo.html with this song you will get the idea of what they possess. P.S. Check it out with your wife I know she is going to love it.
Hi Nick, they were new to me until about two months ago and like you i want to listen & see more of these talented girls!
I knew you'd like Lovebites when I left the suggestion on your channel awhile back.
Maybe do the song ‘Holy War’ with Alexia or perhaps or ‘Swan Song’ with the Chopin introduction
Definitely
Damn...Lovebites...soo Good 🔥🔥🔥🤘🐺🤘
thankyou for your reaction, your the first one that has served notice of how much work goes into this kind of performance
When the lights go red, that's all that has to be said about this song. 😀
hi, in the far east (mainly japan) there's quite a bunch of girl bands. you can definitely call it a scene. some have been named already in a previous comment. lately i've been struck by the VOB (voice of baceprot) train. quite a unique girl band (they're from indonesia). higly recommended, if i may add
There are countless Japanese ALL Female Rock/Metal Bands. You need to check out BAND-MAID, Nemophila, Hanabie, Aldious, Trident .... There are to many to list. (they are ALL ELITE musicians also) :)

Since you're an Iron Maiden fan , check out another all women metal band Nemophila and their covers of The Trooper and Aces High. Also Lovebites' The Crusade, which is based on Aces High and is their Iron Maiden homage.

"WE ARE LOVEBITES AND WE PLAY HEAVYYYY METAAAAL!!!"
Stay safe. Stay Lovebites.
I think Break The Wall should be your next Lovebites experience.
We have one for tomorrow!! It's a surprise!
The United States 🇺🇸 are completely clueless about Lovebites. Can’t wait for them to tour and get the recognition Band Maid is getting.
Doing that band soon. Yeah sadly metal doesn't get appreciated here :(
Female metal? Japan is full of it. Aldious, Marys Blood, Nemophila....and many more. Important to me, is the metalcore band Hanabie. The most brutal girl voice I heard. Yes...I know people will scream Tatiana now... 😃
Check out MergingMoon. The most brutal female growler ever.
Que buena banda es lovebites si puedes reacciona a su canción hollywar también esta en vivo....saludos 👋
Con esa recomendacion no vas a conseguir nada, solo confundir. La cancion se llama Holy War, no Hollywar...
It's subjective. I like it a lot, personally, but I think seeing it performed live makes it even cooler. But they certainly have more complex songs.
Especially maid cosplayers are a shame in Japan.
Finally I'm hoping you will check out Band Maid a all girl Japanese hard rock band. Check out the song Domination from their Zepp Tokyo show PEACE
maid cosplayers can be replenished immediately no matter who leaves. did you understand that it's a performance that anyone can do? they don't need any education or academic background, because they are employees of maid cafe.
React to Babymetal ✌️🦊❤️🔥
Hello from England. You think that this is good? Check out Band Maid.
Listen to Play or Freedom or Domination or No God or Dice and prepare to be enslaved with the rest of us.
Then listen to Daydreaming and About Us.
Enjoy.
Sorry, but I'll take Lovebites over Band-Maid all day.
@@cepho8349 Hmmmm...interesting...how old are you?
Why does that matter? I simply don't enjoy Band-Maid nearly as much as I enjoy Lovebites (or various other bands for that matter) for a plethora of reasons. And I'm certainly not the only one. Band-Maid's music is certainly not bad, but not exactly great to me either.
Your video Title is wrong S/B "What an AMAZING Band!!!". No need to for "girl".
The next person will complain that I left "girl" out of the title. It's fine the way it is🤟let's focus on the music
Nick,
I'm watching a few live performances.
Be sure to see the Guitarists info Nick, on who inspires them and their education: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lovebites_(band)
. . . I think Lexi will _like_ them 😄.
