Phenomenal job with this tutorial bro 👍. In my 50 years of attending concerts, Revelations/Flight of Icarus on this tour was the most unforgettable , high energy performance I have ever seen!
Hi Bruce, thanks for the comments, much appreciated. I loved seeing Maiden live and was at Donnington for 7 Sons tour. But i do prefer to see them in smaller venues, just to be closer to the energy.
Badass! This is my first video I’ve watched by You, and I love Iron Maiden. Saw them live Tuesday this week on the 13th. They played this. Live it’s even more badass and beautiful, and now one of my favorites by them honestly. Anyways thank you for doing this song! You’ve definitely have me as a subscriber. I love Maiden, and also Dream theater and metal in general. So your lessons will help a lot. \m/
Hi Maiden are great live. If anything they seem to get better with time where some bands seem to lose it. Glad you liked the lesson and I really appreciate the support.
Thanks for all your efforts with the maiden stuff it's very useful. This one particularly good as it shows tabs which makes a huge difference. Well done
A suggestion for future lessons: could you cover the rhythm parts behind the solos, I find them hard to learn by ear as they are often difficult to hear distinctly. Loved the lesson!
Hey Geoff, I guess I needed to watch more of this video because you did do the part I was talking about, it's the acoustic section, I'm good now, keep the Maiden vids coming, great job🤘
Hi Elmer, glad you found the part you was looking for. Sometimes I miss certain parts out of the lessons or They appear in later section as you found out. Glad your enjoying the channel. Thanks for the support. Lots more Maiden to come.
thank you!! i am one of the few who can actually REALLY sing this song LIKE the man him self... so im diong ALL acoustic version... thank you very much!!
Excellent yet again.... I am going though your Maiden series one by one and just loving it!! Maybe some Judas Priest and Accept to go along with it?? Thanks For taking the time to go through these so carefully.
Hi Brian thanks for the comments, glad you like the channel. Your in luck I have already started working on some Judas Priest, they will be posted in the coming weeks.
Hi Michael, thanks for the comment and request its added to the list, great song. if you haven't already done so please consider subscribing to the channel. Your support is always appreciated
Hi Hercules, glad you enjoyed lots more maiden to come. If you haven't done so already please consider subscribing to the channel, I really appreciate the support
you teach this so good I pretty well have at down but that aquatic part which is very hard for me for some reason, not very good at that f formation. what i want to ask is what is played in rythem section under the lead, i have tried to play the stuff you have taught but either my time is off or i am playing it wrong if you see this please help, thank you
I think I want to sub because so far you explain things the slowest and steady, showing visual on which fret and string number which I can identify with others they show and quickly go through it but their terminology I'm not following but when you say 2, 3, a, d... I know you're talkin about #fret & string, anyway my question is if my hands are so thick nowadays how can I get my ring finger (even pinky wont fit) to hit 3rd fret low "e" and not possibly hit the other strings even if I move low "e" up a little off the fretboard my finger still contacts "a" string. I'm not sure what to do other than surgically altering my fingers. I used to play at a music school for eight years I was lead but this was 30 years ago I'm not sure what to do...good advice and you got me, however one other thing in the beginning of this clip when you were saying low "e" I thought you were talkin like some kind of language like loli loli. I was like wtf... Lol
Geoff - great lesson, thank you. Is the fast part of the interlude section what is played over and over under the solo? I think it is but I wanted to ask. Mike
Don't know if you have been asked mate and not a Maiden song but covered by them and probably played more than any Maiden song at their gigs............can you do Doctor Doctor Maiden's version.
Geof, is it just me or does the part towards the end sound a bit off compared to the original track? Anyways, I loved the lesson and I wish you could also teach us some new cool Maiden solos!!!
Description is very close but this video is proof that some people have rhythm and some people just don’t. Timing and rhythm are way off just like the rest of his videos. I’m sorry I’m really not trying to be a jerk, it was probably pretty unnecessary. But just in case anybody thought this was wrong it’s just the timing
Anybody who could learn this song based on the video? No one? Thank you. What you are showing at 6:31 (a little run) I have no clue what you are doing, it is totally invisible. An "eight ten eight" - what the hell is an eight ten eight? No explanation how to do a "hammer on pull off". "We are doing a ten night again". Ten night what? Simple strum? It is not. You are not explaining it again.. Plus the tab is incorrect at the very beginning 2:07. What you are showing is a D2 G2 but on the tab only D2 is marked. This lesson is for those who have some solid experience with the guitar, for beginners like I am just creates frustration.
Hi Victorius. I am sorry your having issues with the lesson. But please hear my side. When I first started doing these Maiden lesson I would explain in more detail. Guess what Lots of complainants and moans that is was teaching people what they knew already. Maiden songs must be seen as intermediate to advanced level. So some of the items I mentioned need to be already understood. Yes there might be some mistakes with tab and what I actually say but that's just my error. If you want to play Maiden then I would advise some lessons or more time wading through UA-cam lessons. I do hope you see these comments as being constructive and not nasty. I can understand you wanting to play Maiden, who wouldn't.
Hi MadMade68, Its possible. Unless I have Dave Murray showing me how to play a song, I would never say "This is the correct way to play it" Hope you still found the lesson useful.
Fektthis I watched the lesson again I I recalled why I called an Em even though the guitar isn’t playing and E. It was because Steve Harris is playing an E in the bass. That was giving a feel of an Em. Hope you enjoyed the lesson and maybe consider subscribing to the channel. Lots of Maiden already available and much more to come.
@@GuitarMates subbed. not sure why I didn't last night. was watching this because in my head ( i haven't played the song in years that amount to decades) it was b minor and I'm pretty sure I was confusing it with another maiden tune. thanks for the reply. With an E in there I'd almost want to call it a Cmaj9 but that doesn't sound right either lol. I think my problem is trying to name a chord that really just isn't a chord XD
Fektthis hi thanks for sub, I agree with what your saying. I would rather play a chord and let someone else really worry about it’s name in certain cases. When it comes to inversions with a note in the bass the can be a number of voicing given to a chord. Hope you continue you enjoy the channel.

Thanks for doing this tutorial there are not that many tutorials about this song very detailed such as this one.

Muy buena lección de guitarra con Revelations. De IRON MAIDEN excelente
Hi Rodrigo, thanks for the kind comments.

Loved the lesson!
The solo rhythm part is the fast galop.
You are brilliant ! I love your lessons. Keep up this great work !

Hi John X, Glad you like the lessons, there is still some life in the Old Fart yet!!! Thanks for the comments.
Excelente aula parabéns!! Uma pergunta quais os captadores você usa?
Hi Jose, glad you enjoyed the video. The pickups are Di Marzio humbuckers that came with the guitar. Never felt the need to change them.
I love your Iron Maiden guitar tutorials! THANK YOU!! would it be possible that you add run to the hills in our wish list? please keep it in mind! :)
Again , you'r the best !! Great video! Thanks a lot !!

That's what I need
Your welcome

Hey Geoff how about that little melodic ryhthm part at the beginning during that little solo part, the one Adrian is playing?

Awesome! Can u do Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg that Maiden tune is underrated but sooo Bad Ass!!
Its on the list

@@madmade6877 None taken at all, always like to get feedback. Thanks for watching and commenting
14:38 G/B add 4. I can understand why you wanted to call it an Em variation. However, there's not even an E in that arpeggio.
