After long walk all over the vanilla and ylang ylang plantation we came to the small village Paje to learn about simple everyday life in the Comoros islands. We helped Maketses brother to replace a roof with some palm leaves. Tali tried traditional sandalwood beauty mask, which helps to protect the skin from the sun in East Africa. We visited a very famous tailor to dress up with a traditional marriage dress.

@@UmadumSailing hahahhaaaa 👍
Can't wait for that make up 🤣
Yes, it’s special...
The language sounds close to French?
Yes, it’s patois. The French where colonizing all the Comores Islands. Then there was a voting, which islands want to stay under French regime and which one wants to be free. Mayotte officially wanted to stay with France, but everyone there knows that this was rigged. Now in Mayotte they have French government, police, military, navy and even foreign league. And: if you come from Madagascar you have the idea, people don’t smile and dance enough...
@@UmadumSailingsmall correction here it is not patois. We have our own language called shikomori which has nothing to do with French at all it's not even creole. Our language is made of approximately 50-60% ancient swahili and 40-50% arabic. People use French when they are around French people or communicate with French diaspora but between us we can have full conversations without using french words not even once !
