An animator for Ep. 982 came out and said it took 5-6 months for that episode to be made, a year seems like alot here
@@Pand444 I think it’s stated that One Piece episodes take anywhere from 4-7 months to produce on average, so this one taking longer isn’t really that unlikely when considering the significance of the episode and the chapter it adapts.

For me,, the whole second was insane.. But the baddest moment when luffy give an order to move kinemon and friends below and also Zorro's small smile at the end.. Just sharing...like other luffy's Beast attack name ...Roc is inspired by a giant bird creature in the Arabian region.
Adding on to that, the story of a Roc came up in Oda's Romance Dawn.
It is a giant bird. Luffy's fire punch is Red Hawk (gear 2 fire punch) Gear 3 it is a giant fist so a giant bird.

@@MDoorpsy probably not. Pterodactyl more likely in keeping up with the giant or prehistoric animal theme for G4’s attacks. Red Phoenix is probably going to be for something else. Can’t wait to see “it” show up in either Red or some time next summer.
