Fun fact: Cheese is actually itself, a mold, hence when mold I added on to cheese, it doesn't affect anything. It's basically mold on mold.

I grew up in a house that was on a low down (in a town that was based on a hill) industrial district so there was a lot of mist and humidity in the mornings. We were always coughing, there was a lot of mould in our house. Do not underestimate how much this can cause issues for your health.

@@redrighthand6834 I won't let you get away with this. I've lived in France and in the UK. Honestly, Eating in the UK is like watching a Picasso but being colorblind.
When i was a kid i ate some moldy edam cheese, thinking that it's normal since cheese is fermented.
It tasted bitter yet still acceptable, and luckily nothing bad happened to me. Perhaps it turned into something similar to blue cheese by accident, and i ate a luxury food without knowing it
Glad you differentiated that you cannot just cut off mold in a piece of bread or a vegetable. I thought those were still edible

One thing worth mentioning: cheese is rotten milk where the degradation was controlled such way that it remains edible and has actually a better shelf-life.
Similarly, beer, fish-sauce, soy, some meat, and probably a dozen other things are made in similar manner. This fermentation inhibits uncontrolled rot and adds flavor.
I actually developed childhood asthma due to a mold infested apartment when i was an infant. The mold in my case was black mold that grew behind a closet in my room.

I have always wondered about this.
While I was in training at Naval Station Great Lakes up north of Chicago, two of the barracks' on the base had an outbreak of black mold. Not long after I transferred away to my next training command, those two barracks' were demolished.

I'm DEATHLY ALLERGIC to Penicillin, so I have to be really careful about what I eat. I always have to do the "Sniff Test" on bread. If it even smells sour, I have to throw it away, no matter how much is left. And now, I find out I can't eat Blue Cheese, either. Thank you for protecting me from accidentally poisoning myself. Love you guys! ❤

@@teenmonster8667 Yeah, it can. My Paw Paw was the same way. I also have an allergy to Nylon, so I have to watch what clothes I buy. I'm also allergic to Amoxicillin and Sulfa. Sulfa causes Stephen Johnson's Disease in me. So, every time I have to get a prescription, I have to make sure about 10x's over, that I'm not allergic to any part of it. Also, I can't handle regular Tylenol, Aspirin, etc. I have to strictly take Midol whenever I have a headache. It's because Midol is made to be strong and effective, yet gentle on the system. It's tough, man.

My g-parents had mold under their house. Made them very sick. Tried to get rid of it but the ones who tried, don’t like to listen. So it grew back. Go figure.

I think Resident Evil 7 would have been a better reference than Last of Us. You fight molded through the hole game. There are tons of mold everywhere in the house. Mold infected the brain of the Baker family and controls them. You also use molded water in a bottle for recovery.
That makes for the perfect mold reference. ;)

10 Minutes later, I now know less than I did beforehand.
I accidentally ate spoiled cheese that was days old It did not look bad no mold spotted tasted fine but smelled horrible and the cheese was the type of cheese you sprinkle on food or whatever.
