I ride horses, and I say it the best thing I ever did, and I know people say it isn't a sport but it's a sport to me because your also using your muscles to stay on the horse I will say I had fallen off twice in the 4 years of riding
I have had a horse almost my entire childhood. Unfortunately we had to sell her a couple weeks ago but my family has had horses their entire lives. My grandma once told me a time where one of her horses broke her leg and the vet recommended to put her down but her father refused to give her up so he put a cast on her and she sat for three weeks, he took very good care of her and he gave her pain medicines and then three weeks later she was up and running around, happier then she ever was. Eventually my grandma's father stopped going to vets for them because they would always tell him to put them down or do stuff that they shouldn't do to horses so he treated his own horses(Plus, he was a vet specifically for horses) It's really sad how many people say "Oh I know how to treat a horse" or "Ik how to ride em" and stuff like that when they really don't. I love horses and when I move out I'm going to buy myself a new horse.
Some people don't realize how difficult it is. But I have been riding horses since I was 2 years old, and when I was about 7, I was told that riding a horse was harder than riding a bike. I never believed them.
Some people really don’t understand sports, Like it takes training, effort and mental and physical strength. With riding it’s both you and the horse doing work, Not just one or the other. I’ve got a good seat and good balance but that doesn’t mean I’m perfect or that the sport is easy, It just means it’s a strength of mine, My weakness is confidence and fitness.m
Don't ride horses because of where i live but my mom did and i have knowlage about them and even as someone whos only riden a cople times its one of the hardess time consuming dangerous and very expensive sports props to equestrians ❤ and i do show other livestock and thats hard on its own i can't imagine showing horses♡
When people first get into riding, they start riding lesson horses that are much better behaved. Once people start leasing a horse or buy one they start to realize how much of an undertaking it can be. I have a very difficult horse that I ride almost every day, but only with lots of experience is when you can start progressing even just to small jumps. It takes completely different muscles than other sports so it’s not something you can do with just strength.
facts like i’m allergic to horses so i could never try to, but it looks SO HARD and when i hear someone say it looks easy i’m like “bruh have you even TRIED because that does NOT look easy”
And it’s often people who went trail riding one time that assume all horse riding is easy 😂 There’s a huge difference between riding a dead broke horse versus one that actually has spunk and personality
It can be Soo hard sometimes. And it’s annoying when people say that it’s easy or that it isn’t a sport or smth like that. Like if it isn’t hard you try and do it.
@@That.One.Equestrian what I’m saying is that it could be hard to control them but literally the horse is doing all the physical work. You’re on a saddle.

I only rid a horse once in my whole life, and i was only 6... riding a POLICE horse in a carnival... i thought it would be scary, but once i got the hang of it, it wasn't that scary, but he was just running at low speeds, so it wasn't that scary. BUT Impressive❤

For real, though, I do horseback riding like 24 seven once my horse was going really fast and then he tried. He touched another horse and tried to go out on a corner really fast and I flung off and slammed into the fence.

Sorry that steering a horse with your legs and using your core to move a specific way with each of the horses movements isn't hard that's not to mention when the horse plays up it's life or death.
