Such a charming quilt block. Thanks for demonstrating your short cut. Deb Tucker's rulers are a mainstay tool. For those using the closed trim method, make a few test measures and cuts before trimming entire batch. The HST still has to press open, and you may need to scootch the line placement relative to the seam based on your thread and fabric choices. I also note that Antler Design's Simple folded corners is another tool that works well with this method.

I’ve never seen a kit that doesn’t include background fabric and where the background and binding fabric is an extra kit. Backing fabric yes but not background fabric. The extra shipping costs and having to purchase 2 extra kits to finish this would put me off buying it.

Same. Thought it was odd when she said, if buy the box and would like to make this quilt. Isn’t that the reason for buying a quilting”kit”?

I would prefer a different background and floral backing. Can you tell me how much background and backing is needed? Thank you so much.

Most of Liberty's Floral designs were created in the Silver Studios in Hornsea and their Archive at the Museum of Domestic Design and Architecture, so great is the influence of their artists, that it is still used by designers today. Sadly most of the actual designers of the 20s and 30s remain unknown because... they were women!

As a person who has difficulty hearing, this video is extremely hard for me to hear because the host is continuously making sounds and comments while Amy is speaking. "Right, ok, great, yes, exactly, absolutely, perfect," etc.

So sorry to hear it was difficult for you to listen to. Just trying to be conversational and attentive, but thank you for the feedback! We'll keep that in mind in the future. Hope you enjoy the project and let us know if we can be of help. :)

@@MyGirlfriendsQuiltShoppe, yes, I do get that, but it does sound as if each of you is talking over the other quite often... if you listen to it, you will probably see what I mean. I hope that this will be considered constructive criticism as I intended, and not a put-down. I did enjoy the video and learned a few good tips, so I thank you.

I love Liberty of London fabric. Especially the Emily Belle Collection.
The host needs to get some practice in having interviews and on screen interaction with guests. It makes it unpalatable for the host to be constantly speaking over the guest, starting to speak before she is finished her answers and cutting her off to give her own answer to the question she asked the guest. Yes I saw the comments about the transcript but why would I want to read transcripts and not look at what they are showing in the video, when the host can learn proper interviewing skills.
