Sealant before paint?
Would you use black sealant if the old dry glazing stuff that's deteriorated was black? Thanks.

Unibond weather guard extreme repair and only use oil based exterior paints.

Do you need a primer? I have a dark stain thats faded and cant seem to get it to blend in when i apply a coat. Cheers

No primer.. maybe a dark stain if down to bare wood. Never easy with wood stains and varnish. Better to coat the lot.
