  • Simulation training can improve pediatric care and Pediatric Preparedness, but sometimes a barrier to the use of simulation is cost. This is part 1 of a 2 part series on low cost Do-It-Yourself models for practicing intravenous/intraosseous placement. Part 1 is a review of a Do-It-Yourself model for practicing intravenous/intraosseous placement and general tips for intravenous placement, presented by Lola Whalen, a transport nurse with Yale New Haven Children's Hospital.
