I adore "Poison." It is my favourite scent. I also love "Hypnotic Poison" EDP, the dark and liquorice-sweet one, not the EDT, which has a honey sweetness. I know that "Hypnotic Poison" does not contain tuberose, yet the stygian eroticism it emanates makes my inner Persephone smile. I am fond of the anti-mainstream vibe these scents exhale; I am in my mid-twenties, yet I love smelling like an ageless immortal. 🧛♀

I love your Elvira references 😁 Tuberose used to be a difficult note for me, it's so meaty! But back in 2008, Tubéreuse Criminelle opened up neural pathways I never knew had existed, and it was instant love. The most recent tuberose that blew my socks off, one that I would gladly wear myself, is Maison Crivelli's Tubéreuse Astrale. An almost industrial-smelling, rubbery osmanthus-leather tuberose that leaves the most intoxicating trail. You must try it! Oh and, my favourite from your list is Carnal Flower, only because that's another tube I'd wear myself. All the others, I'd prefer to smell on a woman.

I’ve been considering buying Carnal Flower but I wasn’t sure it would show up. But alas it did! Well I tried it on my skin at an outlet mall (how dreadful! ) and i fell right in love with it and its haunting me! I look for gothic perfumes and get disappointed but i am quite tickled with carnal flower and i will get it! Thank you for supporting my gothic aspirations! My mother wore Posion in the 80s when I was a child and that memory is strong in me so it’s no wonder tuberose has started to appeal to me lately. I’m a man so it’s not used in men’s marketed scents. Courtney Love and Madonna both favor tuberose and those are two of my top musical loves! Although Siouxsie is on that list also! Fun video! 🖤🖤🖤

What a beautiful set of Tuberose fragrances. Carnal Flower is my top favourite Tuberose, and perfume of all time. Your description of the personality of wearer of CF is spot on. Cold, bold, formidable, and admired. I have Fracas and you described it perfectly, it’s a tuberose dipped in almost rancid butter and it’s not for me. I also own Truth or Dare by Madonna and it’s almost the same as Fracas and it, too, sits in its box, unloved. My MK signature is a reformulated version and so it smells more like a strong gardenia, and it’s not as bombastic as the OG. So need to get my nose on the L’Interdit Tuberose Noir!

I used to not be able to smell Tuberose and I didn’t really understand it and I wasn’t a huge fan. And then one day it just clicked and I fell head over heels. Tuberose is now one of my very favorite white florals. I want to bathe in tuberose🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

A very affordable tuberose perfume is Quatre iconic - Boucheron. Maybe it is not the most sofisticated one, but is beautiful and intoxicating. A niche tuberose...a good one indeed is Rouge Malachite from Georgio Armani. It is very expensive, but beautiful. Two other examples not that expensive, but not that affordable lately, are Givenchy L'interdit Rouge and Armani My way. But if one is on a budget the Boucheron one is perfect! Such a pleasure to listen to you, Gabby! Carnal flower...is not an easy one ...for sure!

A very affordable tuberose perfume is Quatre iconic - Boucheron. Maybe it is not the most sofisticated one, but is beautiful and intoxicating. A niche tuberose...a good one indeed is Rouge Malachite from Georgio Armani. It is very expensive, but beautiful. Two other examples not that expensive, but not that affordable lately, are Givenchy L'interdit Rouge and Armani My way. But if one is on a budget the Boucheron one is perfect!

"Oh Gabby " I LOVED the original Poison and yes it would knock a room out but we wore it proudly and i think it really found the right ones that could pull it off the right DNA ...and my god it truly commanded the room , i was never without it ... we meant business wearing that stunner ... and Giorgio Beverley Hills well ....I was once told by someone high up in the perfumery industry, that it was so underrated , as it was supposed to be a real man magnet and still years later was right up there in performance , i still have my bottle sitting over there on my dressing table ...NOT THAT IM LOOKING NOW ... LOL .. bedbound not in a good way with my chronic illnesses , no good for anything..... but to smell good for myself lol . Oh yes and Carnel Flower what a gem . Oh this Flanker sounds beautiful i have never tried it and i must say it sounds lovely , i am not a coffee girl either but the way you described it ..sounds devine ..... also this Flanker , i have heard about but never put my nose on it , hmmmmm sounds like me ..
