Love spending fucking 50 minutes fighting only to die by a completely random one shot
:( I believe this almost happened to me in my run. Try to always make sure Joker has a defense buff and is never too low on health or using a Persona with a weakness. Use the captain badge if you have it to greatly increase his max HP.

The main problem I'm encountering with this boss is that I just have no SP, and nothing to level it up. So it's pretty much a game of can futaba save my soul or will she just not do everything
Is there a way you can go back and get SP items? I had a lot on hand for this fight. If you have really good Personas, you could make it work without a lot of SP, but that is probably the biggest challenge.
I made a ton of curries and coffees using kawakami and Max hierophant confidant
Use Marukis wakefulness ability

Got 1 shot by it's Apex move at full HP while guarding when it was at 10% hp...took like an hour just to get there. Wasn't hard just insanely tedious
I used every single SP item I had just doing the archangel boss rush gauntlet, 0 ways to go anywhere to get more now
Really frustrating how the game doesn't allow a way to get items in this part of the game, you can go to the clinic and airsoft store in mementos depths but neither of those places let me make SP items.......Also I was at like confidant rank 9 or 8 for all my party members and after beating shido the game does not allow you even a day or 2 to prepare before SHOVING this part of the game down your throat at 15x speed.
My first attempt at this boss at level 76, where every one is dead except Joker with a sliver of hp left, the boss has a sliver of hp left and he gets me with his charged dark attack. The main problem is SP management. There is no NPC to trade items, sell stuff or w/e. From what I read, 12/22 is the last day to do this. Man I don't want to play another 120 hours to get back to that point.

This video at half speed is actually not bad
Spent like 40 minutes on this guy on Merciless only to get oneshot by that dark ball charge attack thing. I even guarded and had all characters on full hp. Didn't have defense up that time though, so I'll have to try and see whether even that will save me or not.
Damn, that's really rough. I try to buff and debuff usually to be safer than sorry, but we're only on normal mode here in the vid. Good luck with your 2nd try :)
dude idk if youve had any progress but on vanilla P5, i had full health, and defense buff, guarded it and died still. i hear you have to destroy atleast two arms to survive. if youve done it, do you have any tips?
@@MisfitsDesire Think you just need to destroy one limb to cancel that attack.
I know this comment is old but a guard and a defense up will save the squad from most attacks
I suggest teaching one of your personas the ability that halves all damage
How can u use that almighty skill without using any sp?
A tip for this fight: buy SP adhesive 3 for everyone in the party in the takemi's clinic to recharge some sp in the middle of the boss fight and revivadrin as well to revive the allies if necessary and makes a lot of curry in LeBlanc
How can i go back to before the fusion of mementos and the real world?

I nearly finished this boss with only ann and joker alive i stupidly have no sp items or revives and because of the guards you got to run thru i got like no sp left on anyone but joker gets sum thx to a persona ability i got i have no idea what i should try since i thought that black energy shot was the end am i just screwed because im in a endless loop atm

I never have any sp lmao. It goes down too quickly. Maybe my personas suck too. I dont have any sufficient ways of recovering sp at all. Those super expensive sp recovery accessories I got from takemi are useless. Even the best ones dont do much of anything to help. And my confidant with futaba is still at 1 bc my kindness stat was too low. So now I'm just stuck

Yeah I think ima give up, I don’t have enough sp items and I don’t feel like going back a week and losing all my progress.
You can restart about an hour before the fight if you saved it.
@@FirstPlace97 thanks for the tip, I finally beat it off to persona 5 strikers ! Even though I’m sorta conflicted, I’m hearing it’s not cannon and doesn’t have confidants/social links. Combat looks fun though.

@@FirstPlace97 tbh the more I’ve seen of the game of the game, it could actually be cannon to royal they just don’t mention kasumi or maruki, and there is valid excuses why they are not there honesty I could see her being added as dlc later on with a little side story or save her for a true and pancake boy for a true sequel strikers feels like filler/ anime movie, a sequel like p5r part 2nd could happen it’s too popular not to. With same gameplay as royal just expanded on.
@@pirateking9677 It has a lot of the same mechanics from Royal but it's kind of a standalone DLC. Definitely worth playing. I'd like Persona 6 as well.

healing is still nothing, while sp is a huge and annoying problem
This battle makes me want to quit, 2nd try and died again, considering if I should do a lower level but I might take a break then come back to it later since I’m so frustrated with this
It's one of the tougher fights in the game. You have to prepare well before going into it but it can be hard if you don't have enough items beforehand.
So...i tried 3 times and everytime i get defeated by the huge purple laser beam, i have 2 auto sp recovery objects, i gave them to morgana and makoto since they're healers, but i still arrive at the huge beam without sp, what I'm doing wrong? I only have 3 sp items, and after reading these comments i didn't even know that Futaba could restore sp, in half of persona 5 and since now in persona 5 royal, she never gave me sp

I think I might take a break with this fight, I have no sp items left by the time I reach 2nd fase, and I die every single time. I probably need to load before all this shit of mementos and prepare like 20 coffees and 10 currys… I think the game should allow you to buy sp items once you kill the last angel before the holy grail… or maybe I just suck at this fight :(
Best thing I can think of is, get the soma that is located in the area before the boss fight, if you haven't already. Should be all you need, to be able to heal Joker fully once.
@@FirstPlace97 hey, I finally beat it, I decided to load my previous save and farm the hell out of mementos, and I reached level 78 before I went into the mementos "palace" and with a lot of sp items it was fairly "easy" (i got lucky with some attacks tho) I think that the best advice I can get is to get a lot of sp items in mementos and have a persona with all mighty damage aoe, it helps a hell lot

Joker should get replenished SP even at low levels, but the others will not unless you have items to use.

Spent 30minutes brute forcing my way until the end and as soon as i use my final piece of Soma to fully recover hp and sp this motherfucker pulls a bullshit move just to one hit my entire team smh. Would switching from hard difficulty to normal help? Will it decrease my damage as well?
Switching lower could help. Sometimes even going higher helps if you can exploit weaknesses, but it's a double-edged sword.
What would you recommend if you didn’t have any sort of healing or sp items mid battle??
I did not go prepared-
You either need the luck of RNG on your side or you need to have some good healing abilities on your Personas and party.
What if u have no debuff skills...
Then literally restart the whole save at that point there is no reason why none of your teammates have no debuff skills

I would say the main thing is to watch out for when he does his supercharge attack, which will trigger near the end when his health is getting low. As long as you keep Joker alive and take out one of his arms to stop the attack, you should be good. A cycle of taking turns to buff and heal and then one or two attack moves is probably the best strategy. It's a long fight, so I didn't want the video to be like an hour.
