I don't know what I was expecting other than Hassou Tobi to finish her off.
I can't thank you enough! Combining a written guide I found with some of the personas and skills you use, I was able to beat her in about 5 turns

@@n1rvanna_chaos If you know the starts. If you were to alone figure everything out it can be challenging. Not to undermine other Velvet attendants difficulty.

I've been using a bunch of strats from this video to try and beat Lavenza, but as soon as I get to phase 3, none of my team wants to crit! I've failed to crit with 4 60% chances like 5 times now. I love luck based mechanics.
Man thats pretty unlucky, 20 attacks and no critical is so weird.
Do you have Sumire with you for her Crit boost move? Apt pupil passives? High Crit rate moves? (Brave Blade, Swords Dance, etc)
It's still luck dependant, but stacking these does help. (Also in general getting lucky with damage is a thing here)

Would wil of the sword satanael be good with that build too? Also, I was thinking of making an ailment hunter raoul build to have strong technical damage
yeah will of the sword have the same damage boost as Mighty Gaze and Intense Focus, 20% more damage but will of the sword works with more skills(gun skills, one target skills and multy target skills), Raoul with Ailment Hunter sounds cool.
Magatsu Izanagi Picaro has a better version of ailment hunter

Phase 2 is when InO can deal the most damage but Lavenza has a Damage Limiter that only let you skip one of her Phases, so in Phase 2 the max damage you can deal it seems to be 11k only, whitout that limiter I think InO could deal 27k damage because in that Phase Myriad Thruths deal 9k damage first hit then just 1k the 2nd and 3rd hit, so if we took the first damage it will be 9k*3=27k
But InO is cheating >:(

2:03 No pro, I've never beaten the twins or lavenza or even tried, but here what you could do is inflict brainwash instead of rage. If you do that and have read knowing the heart from jinbocho you can have Sumire use kougaon instead to do more damage here. Doesn't matter since you did more then enough damage tho XD
I know it’s an old comment but the main benefit of rage is that it halves the target’s defense. If he’d used brainwash he wouldn’t have been able to do enough damage.

Wonder if it would be possible to swap out Sumire with Haru mid battle or make Ann be the one to do the first technical here(you probs know but rage can be teched with fire if you read knowing the heart), maybe change their agilities with jazz jin or accessories to make it so Ann is in sumi's place, but idk messing with the turn order will probs mess with everything else
Or maybe have Sumi wear a psychic/fire skill accessory to do more damage on her tech, dark flame band or dragons heart? was the ring of vanity she was wearing used for anything?

When i fused yoshitsune it never gave me the option to have the trait will of the sword does anyone know why
Your Futsunushi must have a different trait, you can try to make another Futsunushi this time with Will of the Sword, try Hastur + vishnu. I suggest you to use the trait Undying fury if your Yoshitsune is full physical becasue you can get more damage for physical skills with that trait, Undying Fury(30% extra damage on physical), Will of the Sword(25% extra damage on any kind of damage).

How does Joker start with Concentrate here? You had Tyrant's Will, so the accessory isn'tt the one that starts you off Concentrated. There's nothing about achieving Flow, and you did not use President's Insight on him. Your turn order was Buff with Ren, Dekunda with Ann, Debilitate with Makoto, then Crit with Sumire.
The trait, Will of the Sword has a hidden effect, it gives you auto concentrate when you start a battle with a Persona with that trait.
@@robjoker3786 I see. I might dust off Futsunushi spexifically for this fight then. Managed to get to phase 4 last time but wasn't able to push past the damage requirement to defeat her.

do you have a method for defeating her without having to spend a lot of hours on build preparation? I don't mind if it takes like 10 or 20 turns to defeat her

How do you to learn sword dance to ann ? Jazz club?
you can get that skill in any party member if you equip Sword Dance belt accesory, you can get it itemizing Ongyo-ki in alarm

I kind of hate this and the whole "special battle" system it epitomizes. In Persona 5 the one area you had complete freedom to act and still do everything was the battles; now even that is limited. The original twin fight only required you to reach a damage cap which you could reach anyway you wanted as long as you survived and I think that was best. Now one more part of the game has you following a script.

When I use status items it is blocked do you know why?
You can only deal ailments on Lavenza in phase 2, thats when she is using Oni and Anubis, any other phase she will block every ailment.

@@Zant582 ik this comment is 4 months old but lavenza has a almighty resistance in the first 3 stages I’m pre sure. Izanagi No Okami is at his best at the last stage.

How did you get Ann to learn Sword Dance?
She has sword dance belt equipped, you can get it by itemizing Atavaka in Alarm
I don´t know why youtube blocked your last comment but, you can activate Thermopylae if you use a Persona with Vitality of the Tree trait(Attis natural trait)
why mighty gazeinstead of pagan alure in satanael?
Pagan Allure has a damage limit of 100% so if you have amp/boost and magic ability you already reach that 100% making pagan allure useless, so its better to use mighty gaze or will of the sword instead. Pagan Allure is usefull if you want multiple elements on your Persona, for example you can learn fire skill + fire amp, ice skill + ice amp, elec skill + Elec amp, Wind skill + wind amp and if you add Pagan allure you will get 100% damage boost on every magic you use.

Sword Dance belt, you can get it by itemizing Ongyo-Ki when there are an Alarm.
I tried with excatly same personas, skill and trait. It doesnt work... The first turn: 2000 dmg...

did you start the battle whit a Persona whit Will of the Sword trait?, that trait give you auto concentrate at the start of the battle.

Why Wild Thunder on Satanael??
Lavenza has equipped Kelpie in the first turn, Kelpie is vulnerable to elec damage, I chose wild Thunder instead of Thunder reign because this Satanael has Mighty Gaze, this only works whit AOE skills.

Vitality of the Tree trait let you use skills that can be use when surrounded at anytime.

I actually like this game but the fact that Satan is the strongest Persona in this game have a problem with that if you have to use that to beat lavenza then the guide is not worth it I will find another way

There, I explain in detail how to beat her without have to use max stat personas, I used Satanael for the last phase too but you can use wind when she use Atavaka and ice when she use Thor instead, I show how to fuse the personas you need too.
PD: Satanael is not the strongest persona in the game, that would be Izanagi no Okami(dlc) and Yoshitsune(no dlc).
