- If you are raising quail, you'll want to replace your stock every 6 to 12 months, which means you'll either keep buying live quail, or incubate your fertilized eggs. Incubators can be expensive, but we found one that is inexpensive, holds 35 eggs, and gives great results. Don't let the price of an incubator keep you from raising quail!

Little tip here. I cut the space where the cord connects on the styrofoam so that way i can remove everything without messing wjth the styrofoam. Easy peasy
Thanks for all the tips! Just waiting for my eggs in the mail! So excited !
Same!
What temperature u set it to?
One of my baby quail have what looks to be like a club foot will that resolve on its own? And how often do they pass away after exiting the egg?
I love that incubator too, I have one that looks kinda the same 🙂
We bought a similar model too but it only had the temp display. This one has the day counter!
I know this an older post but can you tell me the brand incubator you use? And where did you get the candler
@@susannorman1014I’m not the post owner but I saw the same one on Amazon two days ago !!
@Axolotlpalz It’s a great little incubator. Since quail only lay consistently for about a year, it’s important to renew the flock regularly. The cost of this incubator is less than the cost to buy new quail!
Where do you put the water please?
I have the same incubator but looks a little different and this is my second year of using it and love it..... But where I live I have to have it sat up where I can candle them in the same room because I don't want them out of the incubator any longer than I have to...
You can have them out for 15 minutes or more without any damage. Mama bird gets us a couple of times each day for that amount of time. Also, we use the IncuBright candler and it works great!
Wow 2 years
I may not get a response but may I ask how long did you have the auto tray moving for to get a good rotation on the eggs
Do you mean interval? It rotates every 90 or 120 minutes depending on the model.
❤ love it❣️
Did the Styrofoam come with the incubator?
Yes, they all come styrofoam. Don’t throw it out!
I use the same incubator as well it was great but have humidity problems with mine going to upgrade. Had hard time finding a video on this kept showing HHD incubators. One other thing i was not fan of is nothing to stop them jumping out when you go to get the chicks. I had a chick jump out and off the desk trying to get to me luckily i caught it mid jump lol.
Oh wow
What brand is this Incubator?
EVARGC is the brand. Here is the link to buy on eBay. www.ebay.com/itm/265887980751
This seller won't ship to Australia
What should the humidity be on days 1-14 / 15-21? And what temperature do you have?
45 day 1-14 & 75 day 15-18 for quail. chickens we bit same
How did you set the humidity on this ?
Baby Quail bet Papi Kodak go!
Do I really need a higrometre or no?
Without it you’ll have to regularly check to make sure water is in the reservoirs. This small incubator runs out of water every 5 days, so check often.
How much water do I need
Fill the channels with about 2 cups of water. Don’t overfill or water will drain out. Humidity is important but not super critical. Keep water in it but don’t stress about the exact humidity amount.
The average amount of water YOU need as a woman is roughly 2.7 litres of water per day. 🤓
Where do you put the water please? Because it is not shown in the video!
