Anderson likes deegans attitude. Deegs wail go up after he wins a few more titles. Jett wasn’t dominant his first year or so either. Also Jett hasn’t had the full field healthy. That’s why he went undefeated. Jett is generational no doubt. Haiden has to mature some and he will. Barcia won’t be a contender and Anderson most likely won’t either. Hunter is not competition for any of the top 3-4 guys now. Haiden has a mix of riding styles and can adapt and looks at the track just like Jett can. My concern is that Jett will fall off and be content in a few years and depending on what happens with Hunta things may change a him as well.

You say that but I remember looking at the matchup prior to this MX and their Career path was pretty much the exact same, and now Deegan 1st MX Title was better than Jett (More Overalls, Laps Led, and Point Gap, Podiums etc)
Deegan 1 MX and has 2 SMX titles. Jett had 1MX title at this point in his career otherwise Deegan has actually won more races than Jett had.

I can tell you as a Northeast guy.Big davy coombs was a true class act, and truly loved amateur motocross. He was loved and respected. Davey was a spoiled , little punk , even back in the day. I have friends who raced against him. Cocky and entitled, while taking advantage Of his dad's relationships. Not a huge surprise that he turned out how he has, But disappointing nonetheless.
I’m convinced DC Jr hates true amateur racing. The amount of goodwill he would accumulate if he created a series or feeder system for local kids that can’t afford going to AQs/RQs/LL/MinO/WorldSuperMini would be huge. Idc what happens with the pros, I care ab the blue collar kids that wanna make it there and have the speed/talent but lack the funds.

Jetts rookie mx season: 2020 fourth in points. Deegans rookie mx season: 2023 fourth in points. Both won the mx title in their second year.
Jett didnt win the sx title in his first two years 2020 & 2021. Neither had deegan in his first two years 2023 & 2024. Smx is hard to compare because it wasnt around when jett was in the lites class

Exactly. People think Jett won immediately out the gate in supercross but it took him until his 3rd season to win a title. Deegan and Jett are so similar in many ways and Jett fangirls can’t take it. If anyone is going to beat Jett it’s deegan in a few years. 👍🏻

There would be more bike companies/amazing development of Everything, 2 strokes might not have died (at least as much) , helmet cams allowed (ALot more exposure for the sport =$$x7 ), and ultimately more govt. acceptance of dirtbike motorsports (in some areas).

Hang in there Cooksey, keep telling it like it is! If you need some backup, me & my ARs are locked & loaded,,, As i've said before, i've closely followed motorcycle racing since the late 60s. Yes, at first it was about Calvin Lee Rayborn ll, Yvon Duhamel, Gary Nixon, but also Roger DeCoster. I've seen talent vrs hard work. As far as raw talent goes, Jet Lawrence probably has the most i've seen. The last i saw was Jeremy McGrath & Travis Pastrada. Such a shame his career was so short lived. It's hard to argue with Carmichael, but in his own admission, his success was more about hard work than pure talent. I go back to the days of Bob Hanna vrs Johnny O'Mara, that's going to be Deegan vrs Jet. Kent Howerton is still my favorite!!!

I think it will take deegan a season to get use to the 450, look at the history of aggressive 250 riders. However i would love him to go 450 for mx in 25. Jett tomac sexton deegan and prado! Could be one of the best seasons we’ve ever seen

Interesting, I have never heard that, do you have any scientific data behind this or is it a guess? Historically tall riders use more energy, when you stand it is a deeper squat.

Maybe the extra energy tall riders use (deeper squat) is offset by the longer lungs?

Can't compare Chad Reed or Jeff Stanton to RJ. RJ dominated the competition until a career ending injury. Those guys still have fewer wins and championships than RJ
Anyone can go undefeated if they are good and 7 of the top riders are out with injuries the whole mx season, As i agree its pretty cool and i commend him but it wasnt done with a full lineup leaving the gate with mostly privateers, It wouldnt have happened if all those top riders wasnt injured but def happy he did it just tired of hearing about it every time someone talks about Jett, Do it next season with everyone healthy especially Tomac and ill give props but i dont see that happening!

250 vs 450 different skillset. Deegan is successful horsing the 250 around, which he won't be able to do on the 450. Jett has the ideal riding style for the 450.

Why do the 450 riders run double the races as the 250 riders and NFL teams? Coombs and Feld want to run 31 races with the same 450 riders. SPLIT THE 450'S.

I think it’s more Jett = RC, Haiden = Stew. My reasoning behind that is that like RC, Jett has been giving the belt to the premier class and like Stew Haiden is the steezy ass up and comer that has been spanking the 250/“lites” class. I think Jett will be more consistent but I think Haiden will be able to push him into mistakes or force him to do stuff he doesn’t want to do. I cannot wait to see that matchup

*#Jett** is Great* but you could make the same arrangements he's had good luck or his top competitors bad luck in his championship seasons.
250mx first 8 races J-Mart won 6 motos & 3 OA's to Jetts 4 motos & 2 OA's (the other MX championship and his brother was his biggest competition and he's comfortable around him so he's not pressured to ride over his head)
250sx same deal with Austin Faulkner his biggest competitor would crash out both championship seasons
450mx (UNDEFEATED avoided crashes & bike failures) but again defending champ Eli wasn't there neither were Kenny & Webb. AP Barcia, Anderson & Fernandis were injured or racing back into shape after injury. Even his teammate Chase would get injured and race injured but a handful of races he was healthy &Jett still beat him. He was pressured into one crash when Kenny off the couch race 1 round play he too had a crash and delayed getting going because of the kickstart
450sx begin Eli coming back from injury Webb would get injured so would AP & Kenny leaving only his former teammate Chase who was on a new team & bike

I think barring Injuries Jett rules the roost for at least 10 years but it will cause the sport to decline along with the current leaders of the sport. It will decline rapidly. Eventually racers will drop out because they cannot make a living unless they are a Lawrence Brother.

@@CookseyMedia It's not looking good at this point. But if the riders and manufacturers started a UNION to protect the sport it could still be saved. Time will tell if they choose to fight for the sport or not. Sorry Cooksey not trying to be a smart alec or anything but I am worried about the sport we love. There have been great things happening but only for the elite of the sport and the promoters really. It is a worry for the future.
