That's how they got them to come which is why I say if I where the racers I would hold both middle fingers up at Feld and MX Sports and not show up.
They only brought this forth because of the WSX to try and keep the riders from racing that series. Bottom line, they are greedy and are afraid that the WSX will take money away from them.
The prize money is for the riders.
They have no choice when it comes to non factory riders. Only one they can pay is the rider, he is the team owner. The ones who really need direct cash are going to get it regardless of whether they pay teams or riders. If the actual factory's wont pay their riders that's not my problem. Put it in the contract next year.

@RubbishFPS Yes, true, but not one time have they said that the money goes to the teams! Even most privateers have a team like Phoenix and the rest of them. The money is not going directly to the riders. It goes to the team, and then they pay it out to the team as they see fit. The only ones that it will go directly to are true privateers! That has no one but a few sponsors.

It won't. The AMA doesn't assign numbers.

Leaving jetts spot accounted for really screws everyone else. Everyone knew he wasnt going to compete on the 250 for smx from the start, why they couldnt just remove him from positioning if jett approved giving up the 250 chance
You need to pay the privateers more during the year
they keep talking about all the money the riders are going to make but unless your top 4 or 5 in 250 class your really not making much its pretty sad that they are paying the top 2 450 riders more than all the 250 riders combined like 258k more 22 nd place in 450 is 25000 compared to 2000 for 22nd in 250s crazy

IMO, these are not the "playoffs" but has been used as their marketing to hype it up. The riders already won all their championships, its in the books. Why can't they just call it the Super Motocross Championship or whatever and drop the playoffs?

There r also a ton of riders not able to race so they have to have fill ins
My biggest question I haven’t seen the answer for is does all of the riders start the playoffs with zero points ? Or does they start the playoffs with all of the points they earned throughout the whole season ?
The top rider starts with 25 point then everyone else starts with a little less like 2nd has 23 points then 3rd starts with 20 something like that

They literally have answered this 100+ times already but some of these fans can’t do the simple math. The points r reset based off how the rider finish the season so first place gets 25 points to start, 2nd gets 22 points and 3rd gets 20 points and so on all the way down to 20th.
The only reason Kenny didn't beat Jett is because Kenny had 11 surgeries and he's not in his prime.
Everything iv seen and heard say the riders hate this just as bad as if not more than the triple crown bullshit. You guys are cutting into their rest and recovering time.
They all seem pretty excited about the payout. Where have you read or heard otherwise?
@@Luap-ls3ix 😆 what payout, they promised it to the riders to get them there now they aren't going to pay them but pay the teams. It's a joke.
@@glennmyers3580 The payout goes to whomever signs up. For factory/support team riders, the team usually handles the logistics before the season starts but for SMX, signups didn't start until the week after the last National race. Even if the team signed up their rider, do you really think they would just keep the money and not pay the rider at all? Furthermore, do you think riders would even line up knowing they wouldn't be getting paid? I don't agree with how FELD handled the language on the specifics of this payout (or a lot of their decision making for that matter) but I won't let my biases of FELD persuade me into thinking they did this on purpose with malicious intent like everyone is implying.
Im certain this is a push more privateers out.

The only guy that had anything for him was Eli. And unfortunately Eli’s incident happened. We all know Eli was winning it.
But thinking Webb was faster than Sexton is a joke. Webb won 2 races.. ironically the races both Sexton and Eli went down at.

@@Iamwhostine I love it when somebody who watches it on TV tries to tell those of us who are in the pits, and in the semi with the pros, how it all went down. If you actually watched the races, you would know that Justin Barcia set the fastest lap times at most of the Supercross races last year. Eli Tomac had the fastest average lap time before he crashed out meaning he wasn’t the fastest but he was far from the slowest with bad laps. His overall average was number one. I know Cooper Webb is not faster than Chase Sexton but when you can’t keep it on two wheels, that makes you slower. Chase hit the dirt too many times. He was handed the championship. He would have finished third at best if the other two had not been injured, and everybody who watched that knows that. The fastest man in Supercross last year according to lap times was Barcia….
@@TwistedRevan Barcia had the fastest race times not sexton. Chase had fastest qualifying times but most races went to Barcia (5 consecutive rds)
Eli obviously had fastest average race time (hence most wins)
That leaves Chase 3rd fastest in races
He should have been 1st but poor starts and qualifying set ups hurt him
He has the speed for sure but mentality isn’t there. Im not gonna name drop but several of my friends are legends and my opinion has been shaped by them
