A helicopter with its blades spinning needs to be approached at a specific angle (3-9 o'clock, and 4-8 o'clock). The rotors slink downwards at lower throttle, and raise at higher throttle because of centrifugal force. There's a few videos online of people thinking like Opie and losing the tops of their head.
I know man, this one time I was on the roof of a hospital and these two doctors were arguing about who's patient was going to get to use the air ambulance because each thought their patient needed it more and the downdraft from the rotor blades blew the chart off the gurney and one of them reached to get it instinctively and then the rotor blades cut off his arm. Shit was wild.
I think the blades raise up at high rpm because of lift and slink down at low rpm because of gravity. I think centrifugal force acts laterally away from the hub.
