Do you use Audio Assault amp sims and mixing plugins in your mixes? Which ones are your favorites? If you've never heard of Audio Assault, consider this your introduction. If you've already heard of them but have never given their mixing plugins a try, check this out and see just how great they are. I'll be posting follow up videos that go into far more detail on each plugin you see in this video, so stay tuned! 🤘
XCTR was the first saturation plugin I messed with, and didn't know what the purpose of saturation was exactly but loved how it sounded blended with the dry signal. Makes everything beefy, love it even more after having much more knowledge about mixing
I've got HQ2, XCTR and FreaQ 305. They are awesome, i'm using them regularly on my mixes. Unfortunetly HQ2 (Graphical Multiband Compressor) seems to be out of sales.
Thanks Jeremy for making this a little simpler for a newcomer into this home recording projects. Not dissapointed by any of your tracks and your tutorials.
Audio Assault are AMAZING !! I have almost EVERY brand sims available on the market and ,,, Audio Assault are one of the brand that i use the most ( and they are VERY inexpensive , and many time betters then some others ... ) . Nice customer service also ( one of the best !!!).
Came here via the bogren contests. I’ve been using AA amp sims for a long while. First saw them when glenn fricker did a vid on the RVXX. I wish I knew what the hell a saturator and lots of other things actually do. I can pretty much get the guitars recorded, little high/low pass and minor EQ. after that, hope ez drums and ez bass did their jobs with the sampling. I don’t even touch them at all. I just “go with it”. But what the hell, it’s light years better than what I could do when I was in high school (dark ages, the 1980’s !!!). Anyways AA makes great stuff. Glad to see them get recognition.
@@JeremyFoxMusic hey man how can you have all that gain (gain of the amp, booster and drive) on the rhythm guitar and don't have any noise? Also because your gate is at 80 I think
Awesome!! I also have several plugins of them. The AHM5050 and the Bulldog are SO fuc**** good that I kinda feel guilty for paying so cheap for them. The Blacksun is like... "how can it be free!?!?". I like the mix plugins too and I'm REALLY enjoying the IRs! Great video, man!
They really make THE bang for the buck plugins on the market! I really Love the XCTR plugin the most out of these Was looking for a Saturn 2 alternative for quite some time As always your mix is crushing!
Thanks! Totally, the return on investment of all their plugins is completely unmatched. XCTR really is awesome. Can’t believe these plugins aren’t more popular. Thanks for watching! 🤘
@@JeremyFoxMusic it’s a step forward to spread the word You really showed how amazing they sound And it’s the perfect proof that an amazing sounding plugin doesn’t have to be expensive to be good
Thanks! If you have any questions about how I put this together, hop on in the Discord server. The invite link is in the video description. We’re always talking about guitar tones, mixing, gear, etc.

Thank you! You’re totally right. I feel like I’ve robbed them. These plugins could all be literally 10 times the amount. They’re just all so good.

I wish they’d make more mixing plugins or update the older ones
Agree. Hoping for more in 2022.
What about a Reaper template for this mix with AA plugins
That’s a great idea. I’ll add that to the list. Thanks!
@@JeremyFoxMusic i was about to coment about this same
That amp sim needs some high end taming.
Amazing! What drum library did you use?
Thanks! For this it was MixWave Gojira blended with some Bogren Digital and Middle Farm Studios drums samples on kick and snare.
Freakq just had a deal for 5.99, you know I had to pick it up… any chance you can do a vid on how to use it? Love your content!
Nice. I have plans to do an EQ related video. I'll def make sure this one is in that video.
Where’s this video lol 😂
Wow that guitar tone is heavy AF. I have the same plugin but mine doesn't sound as good. Need to learn mixing I guess 😅
