Also, a tip about Rocket's healing that seems to confuse a lot of people. His healing orb *DOES NOT* have to come into contact with an ally to heal them. They have a VERY generous radius around them which will heal ALL allies within range. If, for example, there are two allies standing near each other, if Rocket shoots an orb between them, both will receive the healing. For anyone that's played Overwatch, think of them like Moira heal orbs. They also slow down while they are providing healing. Used properly, Rocket can actually heal for a lot more than some people seem to think he does. Fire a couple into the middle of a team fight and you'll be helping a lot of folks all at once.
Something the game strangely doesn't even seem to mention: Peni gets persistent HoT as long as she's standing on her webs. When I was first trying to figure out how to play her, I was kinda stumped and frustrated but once I realized this, something clicked. Peni's goal is to lock down an area, like an important choke or piece of high ground and really punish the enemies for trying to get through it. With the spider-bots, mines and immobilizing webs, she really hampers anyone that tries to dive into her protected zone. And getting passively healed just for being in her web gives her a lot more longevity. Also, don't forget to use her web zip to either ascend to high ground, dive an enemy or make a quick escape. Once I started to figure her out, she became a lot more fun and a lot more effective.
@@HasturBeta Yeah. At first it made absolutely no sense to me. Why would you want to tether yourself to a location? Then I realized a) you can use it just to get to high ground or move quickly and b) if you want to make sure you don't leave your "web nest", you can do that too, I guess.
Dr strange seems like the ideal ‘Rush’ comp hero; drop a portal to engage a flank with your team, build E while shielding on point, if it goes wrong E and cloak out. Beautiful design, excited to be a Dr Strange main when this game comes out🙏
Panthers full kit is revolved around refreshing the pounce, that gameplay was something different, is certain games he can stomp but missing a pounce is a death sentence
Mantis also really surprised me. She feels a lot more dynamic than just a "heal-bot". Juggling heals and buffs while trying to land her (admittedly pretty strong) damage shots feels really good. And being able to put that annoying Spider-Man or Hulk diving you to sleep is satisfying!
Great guide. My most played, Rocket, Hulk, Dr. Strange, Groot, Spider-Man, Loki, Magneto, Luna Snow. I typically like playing characters I can combo with other players. They're not my only go-to, just the ones I've played the most.

Amazing video. Been playing a lot recently and so far I am a Dr strange main. Something I love about this game is the shield’s true immunity. You can use it to block SW, Iron man, and Mag ults which is really good. And what I do every time I hear hela’s ult is I fly up and stand in front of her to block my team.
From what I've seen of Spiderman, he's extremely good at taking out flyers since they are floating slow targets and spiderman can zip in kill them in a second, and zip to a hiding spot. Utilized right he can shut down flyers hard.
One thing I want to look at in the future, is a list for the best heroes on each map. I love Magik, but I think she's going to struggle on these long range encounters, where both teams aren't moving.
I absolutely LOVE how overpowered certain things are, i hope they bring other things up to that so it really feels like a super hero game. Power creep is better than OW doing the opposite.
I got to play a bit on my friend's code. Hulk feels like he needs a damage and HP buff. He surprisingly felt really squishy when I played him. I don't know if I was playing him right but it definitely didn't feel like a tank, he could be a good damage character though. But Star-Lord is my main, I love his gameplay. I mainly did what I did with Tracer when Overwatch first came out and used hit-and-run tactics to either pick off supports or characters in critical health, push on the objective, or pull enemies off of the objective. I rarely died with Star-Lord and he is so fun.
As a former Grand Master Overwatch player who played Doomfist/Genji, i really enjoy Black Panther. He is very strong in a 1v1 or crowd control. However you need a reliable Tank to close the distance. Distance is Black Panthers biggest weakness especially against multiple enemies. If he can close the distance with a Tank, then he can continuously slash through enemies and attack backline.
0:38 Feel like Hulk should have better damage absorption & crowd control for these things. In canon hurting him just makes him angrier and stronger, so maybe it would be better if the shield ability built damage and speed instead of ult so he has a better time pummeling squishies? And gives his leap some CC options like a slow affect on landing to help him dive into enemies?

Honestly Loki can do some crazy healing and damage. It's all about clone positioning. If your tank is taking a lot of damage and it's far ahead then use your clone, then your pillar and range heal. Easiest way to keep tank alive as long as they don't move away from your pillar
For damage Loki could technically have 3x damage as long as your clones have a clear line of sight to your target. His ultimate you could literally win a fight depending who you switch too for example turning into Luna for her ultimate to keep your whole team alive in the nick of time.
@MarvelRivalsGuides Haven't gotten into the Alpha, but as an Overwatch player, looking at Hela... Look I haven't touched the game so I might be giving a hot take, but I know an S-tier character when I see one. Hela has some of the craziest Damage in the game, and an insanely powerful Ult. Her dash is great as both an Escape, and to quickly obtain High ground for Off-angles. Her damage orb is fantastic to toss at enemies to block escape routes and slow enemies for your team, and those Explosive swords can be VERY useful if you line them up on a group. Hela in my opinion gets an easy S tier, I wouldn't be surprised if she got a nerf. However, I wouldn't mind a quality of life change to her Crow, to allow light steering of it, so you if you shoot it, you aren't just trapped if it hits a nearby doorframe, lol.
I'd like to see them tweak starlord a little bit. He's obviously very similar to tracer with his dual machine pistols and dodges, however, I think they should lean into that even more by giving him a third dodge charge but a larger spread to compensate. I see alot of people get value by sitting on the point and poking at people with him which imo is not how a high mobility character should be played, he should be seeing the highest value from diving the backline and making risky but exciting plays. If it makes him too weak or more likely too strong then you could reduce his overall damage and give him a weapon swap that changes the element of his damage, elemental damage would serve to both raise his skill floor/ceiling and pay a bit more homage to the comics. So instead of literally swapping weapons like the punisher does, swapping weapons would change his ammo type from fire to ice to electric etc.
I came in wanting to main Loki and when I first played Loki in a game I thought that the game was just really easy. But I was wrong Loki is just completely OVERPOWERED!

Yo so I remember you mentioning on stream about Peni Parker's playstyle, I've been playing her all day today and I have a basic idea about it, she's not a regular tank but more like a Stalling tank, she can buy ALOT of time, her web and mines and stuff can do alot of burst DMG at once keeping enemies wary from pushing
Spiderman's mobility skill should have been a web zip. It feels weird to web swing in closed spaces. Attack animations could have been better for a lot of the characters

As people get better at I think the tier list might invert upside down because high skill cap heroes like black panther tend to dominate once people get better and straight forward and predictable heroes like scarlet witch people start to get better at playing against and then fall out the meta at least in higher elos
I agree with everything except mantis. I think she's better than rocket and easily A tier. So much healing, dmg boost, shes pretty fast, sleep is SO GOOD, decent ult kind of similar to Snow. I think as time goes on she moves up and rocket moves down.
Witch is definitely good right now, but we give it some time and she's going to be pretty mediocre. Her ult is just a worse Dva bomb everyone will either hide or, the hidden second option, just shoot you down. I've seen full health witches just pop ult and immediately get melted in some of my games. I think her best ability against decent players is her orb she shoots down to crowd control or the buff she gives Magneto

not alot of people know but if you have a strange + wanda combo all he has to do is freeze you and your whole team is vulnerable to a wanda ult, so if executed correctly you get easy team wipes (you could also place a strange portal in the middle of a fight and pop wanda ult through the other side and wipe the team without them seeing you)
Love seeing Wanda be in the S tier in a video game setting for once since they love nerfing her in a lot of other iterations. S tier is perfect considering she's the "S"carlet Witch👏👏
i kinda agree, but to me Magneto is the best tank, and i will swap Scarlet witch to A and put Hela on S (granted u can aim well with her) reason for scarlet witch to drop is her ult started to become less and less powerful once ppl learned they can just kill her while shes channeling the animation and that would happen very often. Also Magneto as best tank because his team up with Wanda is by far the best one imo that sword swipe turns magneto into a monster top dmg in the game its basically an ult with less cd. I dont think Hulk is that bad i would place him on B tier at least he has great pushing potential specially with a second tank helping him and good healers. and i dont think Black panther has high skill ceiling or anything he is just straight bad, his dmg is very low, his passive is awful, his stats in general are all bad and because of that i would put him on his own in MEME tier because he just cant compete with anyone and even his ult is by far the worst one in the game it does basically almost nothing. I think everyone else is pretty much the same for me. AHH i also dont think Peni is that bad aswell i think once u figure how she works she can deny a huge area which makes her great for dominating a obj because anyone who steps into her domains just gets blown up by all the bombs i like her a lot as a secondary tank. Granted i think the game in general is VERY unbalanced and the only two characters i think are fine and well done is Namor and Magik everyone else needs major changes imo.

Black panther is obviously an assassin, like black panther waiting to a pray to fall the bait.
Yeah that gameplay screamed skill issue, if you play panther right you literally turn into a pin ball.
I like that unlike other creators he is not just saying that they are bad but that there has not been enough time to properly learn the characters

I'm kinda worried about people getting the idea she's too strong and the devs nerfing her, because she doesn't need a nerf, she's annoying but manageable, consistent damage but not much burst besides her ult

not alot of people know but if you have a strange + wanda combo all he has to do is freeze you and your whole team is vulnerable to a wanda ult, so if executed correctly you get easy team wipes (you could also place a strange portal in the middle of a fight and pop wanda ult through the other side and wipe the team without them seeing you)

Imo the only characters I would say needs a buff is hulk, and penny parker. The rest either need a nerf, or are a pretty balanced character

i kinda agree, but to me Magneto is the best tank, and i will swap Scarlet witch to A and put Hela on S (granted u can aim well with her) reason for scarlet witch to drop is her ult started to become less and less powerful once ppl learned they can just kill her while shes channeling the animation and that would happen very often. Also Magneto as best tank because his team up with Wanda is by far the best one imo that sword swipe turns magneto into a monster top dmg in the game its basically an ult with less cd. I dont think Hulk is that bad i would place him on B tier at least he has great pushing potential specially with a second tank helping him and good healers. and i dont think Black panther has high skill ceiling or anything he is just straight bad, his dmg is very low, his passive is awful, his stats in general are all bad and because of that i would put him on his own in MEME tier because he just cant compete with anyone and even his ult is by far the worst one in the game it does basically almost nothing. I think everyone else is pretty much the same for me. AHH i also dont think Peni is that bad aswell i think once u figure how she works she can deny a huge area which makes her great for dominating a obj because anyone who steps into her domains just gets blown up by all the bombs i like her a lot as a secondary tank. Granted i think the game in general is VERY unbalanced and the only two characters i think are fine and well done is Namor and Magik everyone else needs major changes imo.
