dadwithabike's Memorial Service

  • Hello my husband's youtube family.
With devastating pain and unbareable sorrrow, I wanted to let you know my husband, known to you as dadwithabike, has passed away. I'm posting the video of his funeral service as a farewell to you. The background music are the piano renditions played by our children of pieces both John & I like.
As a working widow, the children will be fine in my care. A few of you have reached out wanting to do something for the kids. Instead of sending flowers or other well-wishing material things, I wanted to provide an option to redirect the fund to the kids' rainy-day fund, for those who feel compelled to do so. The gofundme link is below:
    gofund.me/80d0...
Thank you for your thoughts & prayers.

Last week I bought a new Metzeler Cruisetec tyre for my bike, and despite not researching the tyre prior to purchase, it was after I've been riding with the new tyre that I found Dadwithabike's UA-cam clip ride review on the same tyres (yesterday, mid March 2023). I even posted a question to him today asking about the long term satisfaction of the tyres, and then decided to look at what other video clips he had posted, but sadly I discovered this UA-cam clip which gave me an instant feeling of sadness, even though was a person I never know. My sincere belated condolences to John's family. Kind regards from the south west corner of the island of Australia.

For those asking what happened...it was a motorcycle accident. He was thrown from his bike.
The report said high speed, but my brother was a not a reckless rider and he was very skilled. Also, it happened at an intersection. I do not believe my brother was riding at an unsafe speed. There may have been an obstruction in the road. We don't know. There was only one witness, but that person only saw a motorcycle pass him was his report.
Thank you all for your kind words...
Please be safe out there ...

When I woke up this morning and opened UA-cam I was excited to see another video by dadwithabike. When I read the title "dadwithabike Memorial Service" I was in denial. Maybe John was posting a memorial service for someone else. I had no idea his family was posting this to honor him. John and I were suppose to meet up a few times in Austin when I was in town but it never worked out due to our schedules. Even at COTA this year, we couldn't connect. We were suppose to collaborate on a video together comparing the Tracer to the Multistrada, but it never happened. We talked on the phone and talked UA-cam and motorcycles. John, you will be missed. RIP my veteran brother.

It's safe to say that from all of us in the online community even tho we didn't know him on a personal level we did knew him to some extent that it still hurts with all time we all got to talk and interact with him on FB and UA-cam. He will be missed greatly. RIP brother 🙏

I first off would like to give Johns family my condolences. A sudden death of a special loved one is always difficult. I am so sorry for the pain you feel.
I bought an Indian motorcycle in April of 2022. Then I started searching on UA-cam for individuals who had experience with that type of motorcycle.
I watched Dad With A Bike and he explained everything so clearly. His ambition to help everyone was evident just in the words he spoke. I only subscribed to his channel for a short time before the accident. But John made an impact on my motorcycle adventure. To be honest I’ve considered doing away with motorcycles because this great man left us too early.
I don’t know what I will do about motorcycles yet. But I wish I could have met John in other ways. I understand he truly loved his country and served for us. He obtained a masters degree in a field that I or many of us would never grasp the concept.
I’m judging from afar, but I do believe we have lost a man with good in his heart.
Rip John. You will be missed. To Jon’s wife, two kids, brother, and all loved ones, please stay strong. When things get low, remember john’s streangth and his ability to be upbeat and strong. Then you do the same thing, pick yourself up and be strong.
    Rip John (dadwithabike)
