It wasn’t worth it. A bit too sweet, needed some spice & for the boxed meal. $18, I mean just get a zinger box way more worth it.

Chicken and Waffles is a common thing in the USA, but here in Australia it's just confusing, we aren't used to this combination, it doesn't fit our palate. To me, waffles and chicken are two separate things, one is a main course, the other is a dessert. Unless you're from the states, these two foods should just stay separate.

Mate, I just tried it and its pretty decent if you swap out the original fillets for zinger fillets instead. That way the sweetness of the waffle gets counteracted by the "spiciness" of the zinger fillets.
It did resemble a food poisoning incident waiting to happen! Hope you survive the next 48 hours Grego! Catch you on the flip 😂🙌

I notice they've taken the original recipe chicken fillets off the menu and replaced them with the original recipe crispy fillets(which is pretty much a zinger fillet without the spice, or the secret herbs and spices) kfc have screwed over their menu again just like when they changed their twister and put that coleslaw salad in them and removed the tomato!

Hard to tell if that was one bird hanging around KFC carpark to laugh at people silly enough to buy this concoction, or it was several birds...either way, they were amused by you Greggo.
The idea of the waffle did seem strange to me at first but funny enough I didn't mind it. I didn't find the waffle overly sweet but then again I do have a pretty bad sweet tooth which is perhaps why. I got one without the bacon as its never cooked enough and I had lettuce added. The sauce was ok, kinda compliments the waffle I reckon. I'd probably get it again the very same way.
I've never been a fan of salty sweet foods. KFC chicken and maple... Thanks for sacrificing your tastebuds

What i find absolutely disgusting is the attitude some of my fellow Aussies take to stuff like this. I tried it today and it actually works. I know its odd but it works on so many levels. Its one of thoes things that i didn't think i would ever need until i tried it.

In America, if the meat is a ground patty, it gets called a burger. If the meat isn't ground, it gets called a sandwich.

The packaging did say zinger on it, so it's probably zinger pieces.

GregO that is Crispy Fillets that are breaded up in the Zinger flour that is why it tastes a little bit like hot and spicy. The original fillets are gone. I am lobbying KFC Australia to bring back the Original fillets. What you have there are crispy Fillets. Also Hot and spicy Chicken would be breaded up in the Zinger flour. i have no idea if KFC in QLD has hot and Spicy chicken, but when KFC has that out that is always breaded up in the zinger flour.
GregO I know the old original Fillets they were breaded up in the Original flour, the tenders would also be breaded up in the original flour. In May KFC Australia gotten rid of the original fillets and they replaced them with the Crispy Fillets. I know they put the word original but that is misleading they are breaded up in the zinger flour. I used to work at KFC a long time ago as a cook. The end goal for me is to have KFC Australia to bring back the original fillets, even if they have 3 fillets [Original Fillets, Crispy Fillets, Zinger fillets] take care GregO.
