Nice added feature but with the cameras it's quite easy to backup to the ball hitch and actually get closer than this feature did. I'd like to see them add an OTA update that allows you to use the cameras to record whenever you're parked and away from your vehicle, if something touches your vehicle cameras activated and sends video to a USB drive connected to the USB ports in the center console.
Cool feature but from that demo it looked to have gone too far and possibly required the driver to pull forward a bit. With cameras and the big screens these new vehicles have, seems a bit unnecessary to me as the process for hitching up isn’t really all that different from normal backing up into a tight space for instance. Either way I suppose you dont have to use it but just seems like effort made for little gain.
Undoubtedly requiring the button hold due to liability concerns... I think the questions it asks would be pretty quick to click through once you get used to the system. We took our time since the Ford folks were explaining how it all worked.
@@OutMotorsports I agree, its like the parking assist system if you dont hold the button it smokes the brakes and freaks out . Liability or not its a bad annoying to use system. I have a 22 lightning with some of these advanced features . The way ford has implemented things its painful, cumbersome and just annoying to use. So much so you just dont use the features.

Is working with fifthwheel ?
It appears to work with a fifth wheel on the Super Duty trucks but cannot confirm it will on an F-150.
Really neat. Hope this is on the hybrid model as I would never buy the Lightning.
Yep, should be available on all F-150 drivetrains but is more dependent on trim/package you pick!
Dumb that it asks so many questions as well as requires you to hold the button the entire time.

I use it all the time with 4 different trailers. Even my wife can use it.
If need this you should not be pulling a trailer
