Back when he played with Miles he frequently played much quicker and more complex lines than he does these days.

Man, it’s more then just that to me. It’s the aggression & dynamics. In one of the other posted videos of this show. I was going back & forth with some guy saying that Kirk kills Sco. Kirk is a monster player for sure. His lines are always just to pretty sounding to me.

Recently UA-cam has become just a ad centre for netfelix and it seems like I watch only ads of netfelix between contents of video. If this continues, then I would no longer come into UA-cam. I would also think that nowadays the Net has been owned by a few internet giants. Don't you think that the Net is supposed to belong to us not only for those giants. We need to do something to get the Net back in our hands from them.

Awesome, but let's not be blind men fighting over a comb: Ben Street=great acoustic upright player. Victor Wooten=great electric bass player. Gary Willis=great electric fretless bass player. All can play through changes,w/ different styles. Matter of personal taste @ the end of the day. Wooten wouldn't be the best choice for this type of gig, Street wouldn't be the best choice for an electric jazz fusion gig Wink and Sco are distinct (and, yet perhaps stylistically close), but equally great.

People like different things. The "pinnacle of jazz music" is in the eye of the beholder.

Sorry - I admire both of these musicians, but a monotonous jam over no valid musical structure is beyond boring.
