As a Yankees fan I’m sad to see him go but I’m happy for him and the Mets fan base. It’s been a long time since they won a chip. If they get a couple of pieces to their bullpen I think they can win within the next 1-2 yrs
That last question can put to bed the rumors that Soto never liked Judge or vice versa. I am a Mets fan but I have nothing but respect for Judge. He's one of the greatest players ever, and he's a consummate professional. He said he didn't try to coax Soto to re-signing the Yankees because he went through free agency just last year and he knows it's a deeply personal decision. Lindor said the same thing (he never went to free agency but he re-signed by choice) which is why he didn't try to actively recruit Soto apart from telling Steve they should sign him. Juan and Aaron weren't besties, going out to bars and hanging out after games, but they had a huge respect for one another and wanted to win, that was their relationship.
No one said he doesn't like him, everyone likes Judge. They say he left because he can't win a World Series at the Yankees because Judge can't perform (so he doesn't have a reason to take less money). He's their best player eating up money so he's one of the only stars they can have on the team. If he can't perform in the postseason, the team will never be able to win. You can like someone as a person and still not want to play with him.
if you look closely at his face you can tell he's younger, it's his professional athlete tall and muscular physique. However, I've heard someone say he might have lied about his age like they say with Pujols. I would love to see someone to analyze that because it makes perfect sense. He is also Dominican like Pujols.
another salty yankees fan here to comment about how he's not 26 now that you couldn't sign him. i wonder how many comments you left saying the yankees need to lock him up every time he did something good for you last season.
@sixsix5746 I never said Mets was a trash team. Mets are a good contending team. The only problem with Mets is pitching. The Mets is not going to win the World Series without a good pitching staff.
Very telling “it’s one of the things you dream when you coming up to the big leagues”. Yeah that’s what every kid playing in the backyard and sandlots dreams of. Making $800 mil.
@@Land0_0. bro is a salty yankees fan, dont worry about him. he was all in on signing juan soto to the biggest contract the yankees have ever given until Soto chose the mets.

Oh, I didn't know he is 26. Didn't know since he looks a lot older than 26. Maybe he more mature than most 26 year olds. Very mature for his age.
He is.

Soto looked at the money first before he looked at everything else.
You make it seem like the Mets are trash

Let's go Mets
Just wait till the Mets don’t play up to expectations and 5 years in and he becomes unhappy.
Max Scherzer, Ryan Zimmerman and Judge,… interesting
