I totally agree with the Russell’s pricing observations. I think Russells 10 will probably go to $40ish. That is where it will reach resistance from customers. That being said, the single barrel pricing in KY is an absolute joke. From about $52 a couple years ago to $85 now is absurd. I’ll just grab Rare Breed….till it goes through the roof!
I still see Russell's Reserve10 at 32 bucks regularly... but plenty of places around me have it priced above 40 bucks. Auto buy at 32 for me. At 40, probably, but might find something else I want instead.

Pikesville is the best rye out of Heaven Hill... usually about 40 bucks when I see it. Russell's Reserve 10 @ 30-40 bucks isn't overpriced and is completely worth it. 1920 isn't worth more than 60 bucks a bottle.
Have a beef with the concept that 4RSBBS is so common? I live in Texas and travel a ton for work, I pretty much find anything out there minus the Uber allocated stuff…I have never seen a 4RSBBS in the wild. If I ever see one for $120 I’ll snatch it up so quick and walk out of the store feeling like I stole it😂 When it comes to bourbon, must be nice having the KY selection!
That is understandable if it was live where it wasnt availeble, i would say the same thing as you. 120 wouldnt be bad. We can fortunately pick this up several times a week if we are willing to travel a bit.

WFE purple tops are extremely overpriced to me. I could've got 1 for nearly $400 out yhe door at TPS in Newport KY today. Instead I got a 2023 M10R, ECBP C923 and a 4RBS OESF 11 yr all totaled for less than the WFE alone. Plus I got a 2023 KoK in a Kroger raffle last week for $380 out the door so WFE is a pass for me.
Luckily for me I’ll only pay msrp and I’m okay with that again if it’s over 150 hard pass. So many bottles in the 20-150 range I’m good and don’t need anything else regardless how good it is. But as I say you gotta do you. If you’re willing to pay whatever you want to get a bottle go for it. I just entered the Ohio State Lottery and they are featuring BTAC and Pappy they have a bottle of a very rare eagle rare for 2000 didn’t sign up for that the BTAC is 124 and the pappy 10 and 12 are under 150 so I picked those we only get one bottle per so crossing fingers. If I win not sure what I’m going to get for sure. Big rye fan so the Handy is certainly a possibility but GTS is something I’m sure I’d like.

Rare breed is $10 cheaper and better than 1920. So I’m out on 1920 for now

1920 is $65 here. When it was $50 was a great deal, now just not the same value.
