Has to be the funniest show ever made. I like the shoeshine guy Nielson would go to see him to get a lead ," Hey Johnny, What do ya know about the Santori kidnapping?' Then he gives Johnny a 20 dollar bill, Yeah ,ah I might a heard somethin about it " He gives Nielson the clue Frank says thanks and Leaves . Henry Kisinger comes and sits down, Hey johnny, we're negotiating an arms treaty with the Soviets, you have any ideas? Yeah ,I might know somethin, gives johnny an other bill, then Johnny say's Ya gotta be careful, the russians are sendn Kar potsov, a hard negotiator, you gotta deal from a position of strength don't let him bamboozle ya, fantastic!
LOL! I do not remember what episode but one time they walked in to a bar that was closed where they normally but the chairs up on the tables only in this scene actual PEOPLE were in the chairs upside down on the tables! 🤣🤣🤣 I LOVED this show!
One of the things about this show that's not often noted: the way it pays tribute to the cop shows of the '70s even as it lampoons them. The big sedans, the jazzy score, the proud "in color!" declaration, the fact that the detectives carry snub-nosed .38s instead of Glocks. If you grew up in this era as I did, this all resonates.
On one hand it's a bummer that this show was canceled after only 6 episodes, but on the other hand we may never have gotten the Naked Gun movies if it had succeeded. As Leslie himself suggested, the likely reason it failed was because it required the viewer to PAY ATTENTION a lot more than a typical show because of all the visual gags (many of which are quite subtle or happening in the background).

The Japanese Garden always has me in stitches.
Same here! 😂
日本人だけど、めっちゃ笑ったわ😂😂😂
There are more jokes on one episode than in entire season of most sitcoms

Actors doing great Deadpan Humor! Hilarious parodies of past Law Enforcement shows. Even applies to modern day!
Who are you and how did you get in here...I'm a locksmith and I'm a locksmith 😂😂😂
Lol. A whole cavalry battle going on outside of the elevator goes unnoticed.
"Who are you, and how did you get in here?"
"I'm a locksmith. And, I'm a locksmith"
"Next week, bring me..." slayed me every time. And the door reading "The Lab" was great too.
Police Squad was the catalyst for the Naked Gun movies
Props to the bank guy, he could have wandered out into the street to try and get hep but instead he chose to finish his work
Great Show !! I miss Leslie, RIP.
The sight gags alone are beyond hilarious. All else is simply welcomed insanity.
Let's say you didn't go to the movies.

Funny how it parodies Quinn Martin production. Hahaha. Tonight special guest Florence Henderson. 😂
With a big bottle of Wesson oil of course.
It was always what went on in the background that was funny.
I don't know why the Japanese garden gag killed me. 🤣
House keys, car keys, monkeys, turkeys, Francis Scott Keys, Florida Keys...
Pot Roast

The “Police Squad” on the door always got me. 😂 Shame it was canceled because people actually had to pay attention to the show.
Do you mean Americans needed a laugh track and couldn't think for themselves? Kind of like now
my dyslexic ass saw that and I knew something was wrong but didn’t know what
Infinitely better than the movies.
I missed out on this show during its original run. but my uncle sent me VHS copiez. laughed til it hurt. loved the trilogy too.
2:24. Check out the writing on the door glass.
Good eye.
"The ransom note was tied to a window and thrown into the rock garden."
"Cigarette?"
"Yes, I know"
Such a great exchange that they used it every chance they could get. The first time I heard that (episode 1) I thought I would turn purple.
…well
ALL Police Squad moments are funny moments!
The thug beating up the ballet teacher is played by Richard Castellano. He was Clemenza in The Godfather.
No it’s the Robert Costanzo from total recall Harry and was in die hard 2 as the cop.similar looking though.
I like Eddie the shoeshiner.
Johnny, that is.
Yeah genius shoe shiner. I think the show is 10/10 i usually rewatch it every year.
There are so many gags, too short of a time slot. Love it!🤣👍
I was thirteen years old when this show was on. Loved every episode. this show lives in my brain forever...
Absolute hoot! I loved it when it ran the first time and still love it today!

“Cigarette?” “Yes, it is.” Kills me everytime.
Nice editing, almost works as a complete episode.🤔
Loved this show, check out " son of the beach " similar humour, very funny.
I'm a locksmith. And I'm a locksmith.

sally dekker dont know that either
Brilliant !
Hysterical
3:25 - That was the same Brownstone front used in NBC's "Nero Wolfe" series in 1981.
Why is this random video now my more popular than my video essay channel
nice work, good editing.
El Tubadero Club
"SPREAD YOUR TOES"? OK
Some of these gags were carried over to the Naked Gun Trilogy.
Great show. Even better movies. Should have quit after the 1st one though. George Kennedy was great
I liked the shows better than any of the movies. The movies had a lot of mugging for the camera, which I think was a negative.
And another thing. Get a haircut 😅😅
10:13 Taggard!
❤
Looks pretty bad.
Not that bad Frank
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Any of this been edited?
No. The PC bastards can do one.
lol
These are cut too short.
😂😂😂😂
Not for everybody.
unfortunately...
show ths today u have a massive fanbase and some weirdos that hate u so much ......hilarious
Poor editing
There's nothing funny in this terrible show!
You are not a serious human being.
@garyjackson3531 Apperently! I guess my intelligence is too great to find such a mindless show entertaining.

6:58 stop.
Pretty sure that one frame was intentional
