Has to be the funniest show ever made. I like the shoeshine guy Nielson would go to see him to get a lead ," Hey Johnny, What do ya know about the Santori kidnapping?' Then he gives Johnny a 20 dollar bill, Yeah ,ah I might a heard somethin about it " He gives Nielson the clue Frank says thanks and Leaves . Henry Kisinger comes and sits down, Hey johnny, we're negotiating an arms treaty with the Soviets, you have any ideas? Yeah ,I might know somethin, gives johnny an other bill, then Johnny say's Ya gotta be careful, the russians are sendn Kar potsov, a hard negotiator, you gotta deal from a position of strength don't let him bamboozle ya, fantastic!
One of the things about this show that's not often noted: the way it pays tribute to the cop shows of the '70s even as it lampoons them. The big sedans, the jazzy score, the proud "in color!" declaration, the fact that the detectives carry snub-nosed .38s instead of Glocks. If you grew up in this era as I did, this all resonates.
On one hand it's a bummer that this show was canceled after only 6 episodes, but on the other hand we may never have gotten the Naked Gun movies if it had succeeded. As Leslie himself suggested, the likely reason it failed was because it required the viewer to PAY ATTENTION a lot more than a typical show because of all the visual gags (many of which are quite subtle or happening in the background).
@@ElectricSwag and no laugh track! Yes... you Americans used to think for yourself! Watch the most popular shows in the last 20 years without a laugh track. It's extremely cringey!
LOL! I do not remember what episode but one time they walked in to a bar that was closed where they normally but the chairs up on the tables only in this scene actual PEOPLE were in the chairs upside down on the tables! 🤣🤣🤣 I LOVED this show!

One not here was the interrogation with the accused bomber.
"SPREAD YOUR TOES"? OK
Absolute hoot! I loved it when it ran the first time and still love it today!
I'm a locksmith. And I'm a locksmith.
3:25 - That was the same Brownstone front used in NBC's "Nero Wolfe" series in 1981.
Some of these gags were carried over to the Naked Gun Trilogy.

“Cigarette?” “Yes, it is.” Kills me everytime.
6:58 stop. Pretty sure that one frame was intentional

@1:00 Gmod elevator source moment lol
There are so many gags, too short of a time slot. Love it!🤣👍

70’s american TV was such mind wasting garbage.
This was the 80s.
Funny how it parodies Quinn Martin production. Hahaha. Tonight special guest Florence Henderson. 😂
With a big bottle of Wesson oil of course.
"Who are you, and how did you get in here?" "I'm a locksmith. And, I'm a locksmith"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😆😆😆😆😆😆🤗🥰
These are cut too short.
ALL Police Squad moments are funny moments!
El Tubadero Club
😂😂😂😂
nice work, good editing.
There are more jokes on one episode than in entire season of most sitcoms

The thug beating up the ballet teacher is played by Richard Castellano. He was Clemenza in The Godfather.
No it’s the Robert Costanzo from total recall Harry and was in die hard 2 as the cop.similar looking though.

There's nothing funny in this terrible show!
You are not a serious human being.
@garyjackson3531 Apperently! I guess my intelligence is too great to find such a mindless show entertaining.
@@chaostrain1927 We've had 3 1/2 years of mindless entertainment from DC.

Clearly you have a masterful art of comedy
Nice editing, almost works as a complete episode.🤔
I don't know why the Japanese garden gag killed me. 🤣
And another thing. Get a haircut 😅😅
Great show. Even better movies. Should have quit after the 1st one though. George Kennedy was great
I liked the shows better than any of the movies. The movies had a lot of mugging for the camera, which I think was a negative.
Hysterical
Great Show !! I miss Leslie, RIP.
"Next week, bring me..." slayed me every time. And the door reading "The Lab" was great too.
Brilliant !
Loved this show, check out " son of the beach " similar humour, very funny.
It was always what went on in the background that was funny.
House keys, car keys, monkeys, turkeys, Francis Scott Keys, Florida Keys...
Pot Roast
Who are you, and how did you get in here? I’m a locksmith, and I’m a locksmith.
10:13 Taggard!
"Cigarette?" "Yes, I know"
Such a great exchange that they used it every chance they could get. The first time I heard that (episode 1) I thought I would turn purple.
…well
Poor editing
Any of this been edited?
No. The PC bastards can do one.
Infinitely better than the movies.

I like Eddie the shoeshiner.

2:24. Check out the writing on the door glass.
