Today's review and yesterday's review are the EXACT SAME length, 23:08. I am nothing if not consistent, hahaha.
Hi Regis, I'm putting this here so I can come back and "I knew It". Fire Giant, not sure of the name, the new 8 drop 8/8, might be and unnerfed corridor creeper. Playing 1/2 cards for turn might be too Easy, It might be possible to consistently get It down by turn 4. Might be and hand keeper.
If not, the Mountain Giant from the coulds above might decide to smile on this One, and we get to see something close to handlock again.

Double blood unholy control has been my favorite way to play DK over the last few expansions and im absolutely STOKED for alot of these cards in that deck

You get Exarch on 6, then get out “Totally Not Starro” but they just play Kil’Jaeden.
maladar into primus can be a for 6 mana a 5/5, a 7/8 that you need to kill at all cost , 2 3/3 reborn and a discover, that seems so good
maladaar probably played in any rainbow control deck, if only for the corpse spending - just 'ok' if played anywhere else - it boosts consistency a bit against aggro, since you can get to stabilization cards faster like ziliax or your titans - but in control mirrors he doesn't really accomplish anything aside from a small amount of mana cheat, making his pretty much the equivalent of sleep under the stars for druid, but less flexible or combo-able.
Will certainly fit into most decks, but it's nothin' so crazy that I'd feel bad playing a tech card over him.
8 hands is kinda creative, I like it. It's not great since most control decks like druid or warrior probably just has better late-game cards, so playing that would be counter productive - it puts more aggro-midranged decks on a real timer... but if you get to that point you've probably won already anyway - so idk how playable this is. I'm sure there will be a few match ups that it's great against, but I'm really skeptical that it'd be worth playing in the current meta when control deathknights only wincon is 'outlast' - in a meta that has a crazy amount of value generation and OTK potential.
I am curious if there's the possibility for a more midranged deck to make this work though - since it can be used to filter your own deck to look for your best cards for one last end-game push - but again, I just don't think it'd 'actually' accomplish anything given that it pretty much does the same thing for your opponent.

Not sure if yodeler is rotating out, but the dranei discount card based on their attack + exarch maladaar + velen (for free) + yodeler to trigger velen's deathrattle twice seems crazy. Not sure how easily you can get this off or what dranei effects you'd want copied but it's got potential.

I really want to play with these cards. Then I remember reno warrior exists... So unhealthy for the game imo. Guess I'll just enjoy this expansion next expansion when boomboss and brann rotate.
Slamming down 8 hands in response to boom boss negates the bombs.
@@j8000 akshually the bombs are 6 mana, so you either gonna have to stuff a ton of greedy cards in and lose against every other match up or you will end up with half a deck of bombs and another half that will be blown up by the bombs :)

U have to be careful to not rely too much on corpses with Exarch Maladar. Like playing Corpse Explosion, which needs a ton of corpses AND Maldar can lead to situation where your Corpse Explosion are useless. This alone makes it a 4 star card for me.
8 hands feels like a given for ETC against combo IF you do have a lategame deck.
Y'know using the corpse person to get out 8 hands on 6 then playing helya and plague spell on 7 for 6 plagues seems pretty freaken good to me

Wouldn't wakener of souls resurrect your starship? If we already established that it creates it's own minion, then it should be in the pool to be resurrected.
Maladaar might be pretty good. Playing a discount of up to 10 mana after a 6 mana 5/5 might be good enough.
8 hands might be hardcore power creep

I don't know but have they any plan to make a keyword for the clause 'if you played an adjacent card' ?
Since it is specific for this expansion for now and there is already the new Starship keyword, probably not.
Similar to how we still have no keyword for "also damages adjecent minions" and until recently we had none for "cannot be targetted by spells and heropowers" either.
But if they decide to keep this mechanic as a recurring one then maybe in the future we will, similar to how we got Elusive
8 hands then playing Helya after is much better than before. Lol
I am glad barrels of sludge don't see play anymore cause they would be even worse there.
I wonder if 8 hands will get buffed with taunt after 2 months if it doesn't perform.
I feel like If you play 8 hands from beyond against an aggro deck you’re literally just giving them the chance to win with their most threatening stuff rather than running out of steam as they would normally

"playing a 2 mana 3/2 spellburst card on curve will simply be too slow" good old regis, if it isn't a 1 mana 8/8 with deathrattle "win game" its' simply 1 star TOO SLOW. BTW, thank you for doing the quick recap at the end, I can skip to that, hit mute (most of the time) and see the new content in quick succession.
8 Hands on 8 and Brann and Helya on 9 would be devastating in Wild, but the trick is living long enough to do it.
On turn 8, 95% of good wild deck already win way before

Exarc will be nerfed right away pretty sure. Most broken card so far.
Starships to me just look bad, they take to long to put together and by the time you want to relaunch them for 5 man your dead

Speaking as top 50 legend, have you played the game buddy? infinite mana ramp Druid? Turn 6 3 tsunami orb Mage? DK is unplayable in wild and barely breaking even WR in standard constructed. Not DK as a class is bad but because it’s a fair and don’t have big scams like other classes.
