The problem I faced when playing wheel warlock is turn 7-9 you can't play a 8mana do nothing. I have been playing sludge on wheels and disposal assistant so when I play wheel at least you clear some 4health minions. You need board wipes turns 3-9 and healing and this health drink or pop'gar turn 6 remove two 4 health minions. Oh Clearance promoter duh play more minions Gnomelia SAFE pilot and sunspot dragon. Hopefully clearance promoter discounts your wheel.
I hope we get more Tribes in the game for example the Ethereals like Rafaam and Deep Space Curator, hopefully Pandaren, Gnomes, Goblins and Tauren. Though I'd imagine it would get rather difficult to limit one self to few Tribes for specific Menagerie decks so I can see the difficulty and need for tribeless minions with much needed effects. What do you think would be the easiest way to specify the Tribes you want to affect or resummon from cards like N'zoth? But cards that could give some bonus debuffs to for example: the next minion your opponent plays of a certain tribe you've played out of the Tribes you've played or even increasing the amount of debuffs but if either Stat goes to 0 it gets countered/objectioned. Maybe even transferring that next minion to your side of the board with its full stats if the conditions are met. It can be a neat way to counter play with a bad card like doomsayer. Just theorizing on how to improve and grow more interaction for HS.
I have to disagree about the Astrobiologist. I don't think that discovering a card next turn is that big of a downside. The big upside with this card is it's a neutral way to discover spells. All of the other ways to do this with neutral cards comes on a 3 cost minion, and those sorts of cards would be played in a variety of decks just to generate flexible resources. Often you'd play them on curve, and just pick a spell that you anticipate will be useful later on based on the matchup and/or game state. The ability to do that with a 2 mana minion I think is worth slotting in over the 3 mana options we currently have filling that role.
I think this might be the most interesting and unique expansion we've had in years the card designs seem both fun AND powerful. year of the Pegasus has been pretty meh but this definitely makes up for it. I used to main a Draenei pally in wow so I can't wait to finally make my HS equivalent to my character.
I'm sure you realized this afterward, but Velen will not copy Astral Vigilant's battlecry because Astral Vigiliant isn't a draenei. Honestly Astral Vigiliant should be a mech, but there would also be a case for making it a draenei and/or undead as well (because in WoW the vigilants are mechs powered/inhabited by the souls of draenei).
I'm guessing Kil'jaeden making your deck immune to enemy shuffle effects also means your deck is immune to your own shuffle effects. If not for that i could see a Warlock deck that plays Mass Production after Kil'jaeden as a means to infuse the deck with card draw.
Kil'jaeden seems fun. Safe early, scary big after maybe 3 or 5 turns but unless you're holding draw spells before you play him, the portal might do very little.
Still cards like Kil'jaeden do make for proper reasons to make a few more "Bane/Slayer" cards like the new "Star Vulpera" specific for starships though lets hope there will be more like Gollaka Crawler, Gollaka Glutton, Hungry Crab, EMP Operative and Scorp-o-matic. Plus "Light's Champion" could finally get some consistent use if theres enough demons with strong effects on board/buffs. Maybe Blizzard might buff or discount the cost of such cards for more frequent use. Perhaps cards that can discontinue/silence the battlecries of "for the rest of this game" effects if they're still on the board like with Hero Cards.
I think Eredar could be a great card in Big Spell Mage or Control decks to handle Aggro in the early game. Considering Evolve Shaman and pirate decks are very strong. I still think they will be strong in the future:
The 1 cost discover a demon, thr 6/6 taunt imps spawned by sacrificial imp, the taunt knights from queen or the lifesteal Dreadlord spawned off of the 8 cost taunt.
Sincerely this is the first preorder i sid buy cause i love draenei and demons. But still i didnt got it. Is there some delay between the the time you buy it from the play store and the time you receive it in game?
I do wonder kil' works with repeating his battlecry. Does that 2/2 buff stack or does it see it as replacing the demon deck with another demon deck and the aura gets replaced with it.
Did Demonhunter not get teast with a demon deck? Kil jeaden on its own looks not good true but with a deck that is a deamon archetype anyway it could work out well.
Am I the only one thinking that a control vs control matchup is just whoever gets a Kil’jaeden on board first??? Like, if you have the health and get the minion out even 2 turns before your other control opponent, you have such a massive likelihood of just absolutely overwhelming his minions since they will be 4/4 smaller on average. I really can’t tell if that card is nuts in control matchups
KJ shutting down shuffle in strategies kind of sucks. If a deck with him gains popularity, it's going to eliminate an entire win strat. Luckily his relative clunkiness will make him a niche card.
Also, a control lock that plays this can generate a bunch of Mechanized Production, hold them, play them when ready to pop KJ and fill your hand and just end your turn with a hand full of demons and no shuffle in downside of Mech Production.
So what happens with the endless portal with stuff like "rearrange your deck from highest cost to lowest cost"? Or the warlock legendary with cost equal to remaining cards in deck?
