The theory is that hoya tend to bloom when stressed out. Weather that be under watering and blasting with sunlight or what. But that's how most can get it to bloom. For alot of plants flowering is a survival mechanism, if the plant thinks they might have a chance of death, they wanna make as many copies as they can of itself! Self preservation!
In my opinion you can usually tell with your own plant if it's a stress bloom or just a regular bloom. I disagree with the person here that Hoya need a small pot. They don't. You also don't need to stress out your plants. What you DO need is loads of sunlight. A South facing window with no obstructions will make the difference. Nothing is as powerful as natural direct sunlight. My Hoya are going bonkers now due to the South window. And none of them are stressed. Just growing and flowering.
Heheh, this is the comment I came here for. It’s pretty much all about light and fertilization..humidity, for some, but def. mostly light and nutrients.
Thank you😊. I'm a newbie when it comes to hoya . Got my 1st one last week.
That is an incredibly beautiful Hoya.❤️💗
My hoya has lots of blooms when I don't water it for a month 😅water with fertiliser and lots of indirect sunlight
