World Record: The Chrysler That Can Wheelie 2,500 Feet | RIDICULOUS RIDES
Вставка
- Опубліковано 16 жов 2024
- FUELLED by methanol alcohol, this Chrysler PT Cruiser currently holds a world record for the longest wheelie. Car enthusiast ‘Nitro’ Mike Kunz, of BC, Canada, has a long established passion for drag racing and chose to modify the vehicle into a wheelstander ‘to be a little different’. With a top speed of 130mph, this car set the record for the longest wheelie at 2,500 feet in August 2012. But Mike hopes to break that record and take it even further. Mike is somewhat of a legend on the racing scene and has travelled across the USA to show the car at different race tracks where fans can even sign its front end.

never been more proud to own a pt. keep on cruisin
I can’t believe I am saying this but I like this pt crusier
So I was thinking....
Put top military grade reinforcement armor on it, lift kit, better all terrain tires all around, top notch bulletproof plexiglass, and then you will have a unstoppable machine!!!!
Damn i signed on the hood on this car about 8 years ago in manitoba canada
When in doubt throttle out
I like how casually he says "it makes about 1,200 to 1,400 horsepower"
Unpopular opinion, I actually think the stock PT Cruiser is a good looking car. Not sure why it gets so much hate. It's the closest thing you can get to retro styling in a vehicle made after 2010.
yeah
I wondered what happened to all the PT cruisers, you used to see them every day, now you can see one every 6 months or so......
they all died
They all got sold for extra parts
You must live in a rusty area. I see them every day.
Chrysler stopped making them after 2010
I own a 2004 PT Cruiser, still running today.
What a guy. Class act!
I've seen this run its amazing the only pt cruiser I would ever consider driving.
I'm sorry, but it is so stupid, but glad you have a passion and stuck with it
I just seen this pt cruiser in tonopah Arizona
Me: gets this recommended
Also me : GTA flash backs
he is my hero
I seen this car in person in 08. My signature is on it, I singed it before the hood was ever touched with signatures. I Own 2 turbo pt cruisers so you know i love these fuckers.. This is hardly a pt cruiser now. but its still stupid sick.
Just wow
with the weight placement it's basically cheating
Well he built the car that way. And remember hemi under glass did the same thing. If there was a rule on the motor staying where it was originally he would probably use something like a vw beetle
@@pixrp9039 hemi under glass was amazing, that car is pure art
That's the point of a wheelstander
Everyone loved these cars.
And i mean everyone.
So when i hear popular opinion is to make fun of them thats funny in itself.
Most ppl making fun of them is likely driving something more boring.
Plus theres this one.
Some states concider it a truck. Truck license n all.
For various reasons.
Take the back seats out and it's a flatbed.
The PT came about as it was originally a Plymouth.
Plymouth Trucks
Since Plymouth was leaving at the time they decided to make it a Chrysler.
No one's talking about how he put a chevy small block in a golf cart
"It looks mean"
I’m going to beat that record I promise
Hi whoever reads this
While impressive this to me IS NOT an actual wheelie. A wheelie needs to be balanced by the driver,
not a device....
Not too hard when the engine is in the back
Woww
Is it really a wheelie if you need to involve a wheelie bar? If this is going on a guinness world record book it may as well be called assisted.
its the keep the driver safe so it doesn't roll over immediately like that famous pinto thtat flipped over right as he did his wheely
Bars are for the riders safety. It's still driving on it's 2 rear wheels.
Its a crutch though. If you need wheelie bars on a car, then it wasn't meant to flip. Do bicycles need wheelie bars? Do motorcycles need wheelie bars?
I agree in a wheel comp they should learn to throttle control like monster truckers. Wheelie bars in drag racing I understand fully though.
@@j0nny93rs i agree with what youre saying. For a drag race where theres not much throttle control because its gung-ho or be left in the dust so they def need wheelie bars. And same for monster trucks that have a crap ton of horse power and that those drivers have amazing throttle control. But if its none of those and its for a world record they should def specify thats its an assisted with wheelie bar or not.
Where's the skill when you have a 4 foot wheelie bar ? Get a computer controlled throttle , with wind resistance ought to be able to wheelie cross country with independent rear brakes .
He'll yeah. What 16 year old kid hasn't done this in mom's Sienna?!
