    Sad to hear that Ron passed away. I have been following him for many years and his knowledge was a big part in me improving as a shooter.

      I liked it. I don't use most of other social media and that goes for a lot of youtube users. I'll reach out via mail after the holidays.

    It makes me happy this video came on my feed today. What I loved about Ron’s way was the way he treated shooting like an art form and would strive to find new ways to teach the same lesson in hopes that a lesson would bring more impact, for example the car wash. I learned so much from the master’s UA-cam videos and his DVD’s. I got pretty good. Won some local matches and got a GSSF Glockmeister win. I think my best plate rack from low ready is a 2.2. I could hit consistent 2.4 when I was training all the time. Best plate rack from draw was a 2.7 I think.
    Mr. Avery taught me so much about grip and recoil control and follow through that I can’t stand watching most people shoot. It just looks too wrong to me. I really wanted to come and train with him and always regret not making it. His approach to pistol shooting really resonated with me and provided me with a lot fun and personal enlightenment on my journey to get good and reach my goals. I regret never getting the chance to thank him. I’m glad TPC carries his traditions and teachings on like the martial artists he based his way of shooting on.
    I’ve taken a couple years off from serious shooting but when I pick up my training again soon I will be returning to the knowledge and information in the videos he left us as I teach my 13 year old son.
    What made him great was an eastern like philosophy that was always about the shot and never about guns, ego or trophies, only about the shot. Always seeking Zen. Thank you TPC for keeping the ways of the Master.

      We totally agree! Shooting is an art form. It's a martial art. It's not only about the skill, it's about the set of values that we have, the experience and focus! It's about striving for improvement and sharing knowledge. Thank you for sharing that with us!

    I realized through instructor led reaining i was shooting way too tense and extended locked arms. Pullinf my gun back in relqxinf and feeling a more natural action stamce like this is crucial for strong development. Excellent work both of you❤ proud teacher right there

      Indeed! As we like to say, tension is the worst enemy of precision and accuracy. Still, some muscle groups must be engaged during the process like the forearms. This is where the principle of "Relaxation and Isolation of Tension" comes into play!

      @@TacticalPerformanceCenter I'm still a work in progress to be honest. I can hit, but Everytime I receive instruction I feel my skill grow. I've not found another skill set as rewarding as being able to effectively protect my family. 2024 I'll be taking at least two pistol classes and a rifle class. I have taken 5 classes in the last ten years so 3 in one year, I'm very excited for my growth. One is a basic LTC course but will be great practice still and I'm sure I'll learn a ton more about the laws living in Texas now.

    Curious; is the 1.89 seconds from the beep or the first shot? The timer superimposed at the bottom showed different times. Either way, I am going to practice this. Heck I can't even draw and get the first shot off in 1.89 seconds very often. Nice work!

    • @TacticalPerformanceCenter
      @TacticalPerformanceCenter  2 роки тому +2

      The bottom timer shows the time from the beginning of the video clip imported into the Shot Coach app (the app used for the analysis). The timer at the top left corner is the actual shooting timer that includes the reaction time as well.
