Predict the Browns' record with Jacoby Brissett under this comment! Trying to see what people think, I'm going to go with 5-6.

I like Brisset to Njoku at tight end. I'd really like to see David Bell step into Schwartz's slot at this point. Cooper and DPJ are going to remain solid targets at WR. I may be biased but I think with all of the weapons in his system I'm looking at a slightly more optimistic 7-4 if the browns can keep penalties down and York can connect on his kicks. We usually kill ourselves on easy mistakes.

I'm thinking more at 3-6, with how the offense looked yesterday.

@@coganblaster While I agree the preseason performance left a lot to be desired, you have to remember that it is preseason. A lot of our starting weapons that Brisset will be utilizing weren't out there. Brisset is only out there to get reps and get comfortable under pressure. I think once we get guys like Cooper and DPJ out there consistently, we will look better. It hasn't been talked about a whole lot but Coopers route running ability and ball awareness in my opinion is going to raise Brisset to a higher level of play, even if only by a little.

@@YoboYT I agree, I really think Njoku is going to have a nice season with Brissett. Bell and Brissett looked like they have chemistry against the Bears. 7-4 might be wishful thinking but I pray you're right.

People forget how good of a season he was actually having in Indy before he got hurt and then lost his top two wrs. He's gonna have one of the best lines in the NFL and the best rushing attack.

The offense looked more like the first day of practice, rather than the tuneup game. If he wins more than 4 games, I'll be delighted.

    I have him going 7 -4 and Watson going 4 - 2. Thank you. A Browns Fan since 1967.

    That colts season is fascinating,
He was on pace for 37 touchdowns
    Then got hurt
And by the end was playing with 4th and 5th wrs.
He can definitely not lose you games. All the browns need is a 6-5 out of him and a strong start of 3-1
    It’s possible.

Great breakdown. Brissett doesn't need to do anything fancy, just needs to not lose us games. Should be able to go 3-1 against panthers, jets, steelers, falcons, 1-3 against chargers, pats, ravens, bengals, and 1-2 against dolphins, bills, and bucs. No reason this team shouldn't be at 5-6.

and then your 22-0 starter can come out and play on the same level as brissett for the rest of your games

He doesn’t even scan the field. One target.

I think we go 6-5 with him starting. We just need to lean on our running game and defense. We just need him to protect the ball and not give games away

Sad part is that's all we needed out of Baker last year. Don't turn over the ball and let the run game do the heavy lifting. Probably not a coincidence that's what we get at backup QB this year.

Brissett seems to me to have the brains and the ability to read defenses that Baker Mayfield has NEVER had, but he is missing that strong arm AND the willingness to throw into tight windows with accuracy that Baker does have (or USED TO have as far as the accuracy part goes). So we've traded that "gunslinger" mentality for someone with a brain but very little arm talent and no "edge" to his play or personality. Is one better than the other? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

That man landed in Cleveland for one reason. Nobody else wanted him. He’s been around, tested, and the final is - he’s an average backup. Listen to the interview, he brings nothing.

You will not win a game with this guy.. Great guy.. worst vision for an NFL qb I've ever seen. He is partially blind.. no joke he only sees half the field.. wouldn't get your hopes up.. worst qb I've ever seen in person. Great dude though
