- If there’s one thing that we can all agree on when it comes to assassin’s creed, is that the cinematic trailers ubisoft produce are a complete work of art. There’s pretty much not really a single bad cinematic trailer. That’s why I got the idea to just rank the cinematic trailers for every assassin’s creed game.

Assassin's Creed is an open-world, action-adventure, and stealth game franchise published by Ubisoft and developed mainly by its studio Ubisoft Montreal using the game engine Anvil and its more advanced derivatives. Now that I think about it, I'd swap Assassin's Creed 1 and Assassin's Creed Odyssey's trailer..
As you said Odyssey didn't really have a cinematic trailer so that is a better choice

Another thing I love about the mirage trailer is how Basim jumps down to approach his target as it mirrors Ezio’s jump down in the AC2 trailer

I like the other ac Unity trailer that has Arno racing to save Elise from the guillotine. The music especially makes the trailer so much more tense and fun

Always loved that trailer and just rewatched it after reading this comment. The cliff hanger they left with Arno seemingly killing Elise cuz she was a templar is insane.

Elise reveal trailer..they also added the templar plot twist pretty well , one thing about ubisoft is they always hit the bullseye with their trailers and music.
Revelations is incomparable with others. It's simply the one of the best trailers in gaming history. Maybe even best. I still remember how i got chills when i watch it first time. Just epic...

Dude it was just ok, Ezio 1st appereance in Broherhood trailer is just pure brilliance while walking through the cardinals....Blackbeard telling kenway's stories or even the arrow jump connor does , there are way better than a simple drum /fight that Revelation shows

@@Hoboken90 its not a simple fight. Ezio visits the masyaf castle, fighting bunch of templars and meets altair. All this is enough for being epic. Not even mention about music, atmosphere, charisma of the old wolf ezio. That connor, blackbeard and others are nothing compare to this masterpiece. But broterhood was quite good, i can give you that.
Man it really feels they were at an all time high with passion during AC Unity, if they just got a few months to make it a bug free launch, it would've totally changed the history of the company.
The story was still weak compared to other games tho
More like a 1 year to polish the game and make better story.
Everytime I watch Assassins creed Revelations Trailer I get goosebumps that's firetruckin amazing.

I think the ac origins cinematic trailer was my favorite. The song and the visuals really come together to show Bayek as a killer

Can't forget Brotherhood and of course Tobuscus' rendition of it.
AC4 was cool, showed Edward off really well.
If Ubisoft put as much effort into their games as they do for the cinematic trailers, their games would be golden.
AC3 is and will always be the best trailer the sound, aspects, cinematic layout is just perfect the way connor sneaks through the crowd and jumps shoots the leader with the bow and arrow its cool man
Origins is by far the best and it ain't even close. It feels so mysterious, so atmospheric, it really takes you to another world.

Feel like Ac1 is underrated because you really have to go in depth of that trailer. That trailer shows how great Altair is by timing his assassination and escape by the bell. The bell rung 12 times and he knew he had to be at the monks by the 12th bell because they come out of the church I think it is. Shows you how smart Altair is.
Revelations is my favourite trailer
Yes. AC 3s trailer is one of the ones besides Brotherhood i remember the most. Connor just kicks ass in that trailer and in game. The trailer is true to the game of Connor pretty much being a one mane army.
ac revelations is my favorite for sure, it is so nostalgic, beautiful CGI and song fits perfectly.

I respect the opinion but I feel like AC1 should've been higher. Leap of faith with the church bell, coming from the crowd and the way altair uses his weapons and that disappearance is just so nice. The main thing I like is how much it makes sense. With every other Assassins creed game they all have the drippiest clothing known to mankind and that sticks out a lot and kinda feels less "stealthy" but Altair's clothing choice is very similar with the people around him. A shame crossbow couldnt make it to the game for HISTORICAL INACCURACIES

Man oh man I think it's the first time I'm scared for a release of a videogame mirage is either going to be really good or really disappointing based on what Ubisoft has given us the past couple of years. P.S awesome idea for a video 👍

Shay's trailer being short makes sense honestly, he's not about following an order, getting orders, following the target and escaping after the job is done. What's so cool though is the symbolisation. Shay appears with his Blade in hand(A common assassin weapon), Hidden blade in the other and his hood on and he throws the blade, retracts the hidden blade, takes the hood off and finishes his business with a rifle (mostly seen as a templar weapon) It shows what he truly is, a hunter.

I know I'm not the first to say this, but I love the mystique that gets built up around the main characters in these trailers. It's like, in the trailer you see them as other people in universe see them, but when you play the game, you get to know them as they truly are
Honorable mentions to both the 'Paris Horizons' Unity trailer - Nils Frahm's music fits the agile parkour perfectly - and the gameplay trailer for AC2 - Justice's 'Genesis' is a masterful music choice and the takedown animations look amazing And you get the first glimpse of the Leonardo flying machine. Yes it laboured the point that your character can go in water now, but still...
ac1 trailer is amazing because it perfectly encapsulates what being an assassin is, gotta disagree on that one

Fun Fact:
The studio that made these AC trailers, Digic Pictures, also made cinematic trailers for The Witcher 3, Halo 4, Warhammer, Final Fantasy, Call of Duty, Rainbow Six, etc. etc. etc.
Idk if u can consider this as Cinematic Trailer, but i like AC Freedom Cry Adewale's Trailer. It just gave me goosebump everytimes i watch it, espescialy i really like Adewale's dialog in the trailer

My favorites are AC3 Trailer and AC Unity Elise Reveal Trailer
The Origins trailer is the first thing I think when I think AC cinematic trailer. The fight scene at the end was too good
I did not expect to see Unity at the top of the list. Most would probably say Brotherhood or Revelations but Unity has always been the best imo
I remember while I was on holiday in Italy, I used to go to the canteen of the camping a lot because that was the only place that had wifi JUST to watch the unity trailer over and over and over again

Oh man. I remember being so hyped for Unity. I watched the E3 trailer and the co-op gameplay over and over. Even bought a new PC for it. Then the game came and the face bug gave me nightmares...
I was still hyped for Syndicate but didn’t really get to play it properly. After that my faith in the franchise and Ubisoft dwindled.
I still watched AC3 and 4 E3 trailers regularly until I eventually grew out of them.
Origins came and I bought a PS4 to play it and Syndicate.
Didn’t care about Odyssey because it wasn’t about assassins. I thought I stopped caring about AC finally.
Then Valhalla's trailer released after the artwork livestream and I was extremely hyped. But that game ended up being the biggest disappointment probably.
All of em are so great, it's hard to choose a favorite

AC 3 was one of the best trailers.
I would rank AC 1 higher. I remember untill today how hyped i was for that, the trailer has an absurd immersion and explain exactly the main idea of the game... the public execution, the blade in the crowd, the vanish, the mystery, the atmosphere, the intense bell in the background... by Odin's beard, i even think it's in my top 5, even with the "lower quality". The only "issue" of the trailer is that we didn't get the crossbow cause -historical accuracy-..... which recent games seemed to forget that....
Also, Well, for me at least, Origins trailer > Syndicate, Valhalla

@@TheHiddenOne690 Good to hear, I always enjoy the scenery in AC-games, and even though some of the latest games have not been as good as the early ones, they sure made many beautiful locations in for example Valhalla, Odyssey and Origins
Brotherhood will always be my favorite trailer for anything, not just video games. I remember watching it for the first time and freaking out over the assassin recruits, cause ac2 like teases the idea of assassins working as a group but brotherhood just cranks it to the max and embraces it, fitting name for the game I guess haha

Pretty damn good job. I told you when you said you would be doing this video that ac3 and revelations are the best. You put them at 2 and 3 but even though its your opinion im gonna have to say they should be 1 and 2 with unity at 3. Otherwise pretty much spot on

The AC movie should have been a cinematic like these trailers. They look amazing no matter how old and they could have really gone all out with the architecture and visuals.

And comes the people who didn't get why isn't there the Freedom cry trailer (its a standalone game or dlc) + Liberation
I like the most Rogue's and Ac 3's trailers, connor and shay's character is special I think.
With the Syndicate trailer, I get the feeling that the reason why Evie is absent from the trailer is due to Ubisoft being, well, old fashioned, considering that for one, you can't ever play as a female Assassin in the co-op missions in Unity which that was because of a publisher decision, and there's also the fact that in Origins, Ava or Amulet was actually going to be the protagonist of the game while her husband Bayek was a side character, not the other way around like in the final game, but Ubisoft was once again old fashioned by saying that the game wouldn't sell well if the main character was a female. As the narrator of MojoPlays said it best, "Ubisoft and female lead characters don't get along".

AC origins is probably the best of them all. The graphics were unbelievably good, the music choice is perfect, and what you can see in the trailer just portrays Bayek perfectly

Ac unity could have been in another place if they prevented bugs and add more couple hours in the main story because allot of things is missing in the story line

I watched a documentary about the french revolution and to show what the world looked like they showed the eagle flying from ac unity trailer
Hard disagree on the Origins one personally.
What I love about the Origins trailer is that unlike the other trailers, this one actually *adds* to the lore of the series instead of just being a cool action sequence like all the others are.
It shows the origins of the Order of Ancients in Egypt. How they were introduced to (and manipulated) Pharaoh Khufu in the 26th Century BC and were involved in the construction of the Pyramids. Then it flashes forward to the time of Cleopatra and Ptolemy XIII, showing that even after 2,500 years passing, the Order of Ancients are still the ones pulling the strings in Egypt.
Like this shit is really cool, and the music accompanies it beautifully. Wish we actually got more about this history in the actual game. Like the tombs being about uncovering the origins of the Order of Ancients piece by piece like the AC2 tombs, instead of just being a shiny thing that gives you one ability point.
That's why I think it might be my favorite cinematic trailer. Because it actually adds depth to the lore/world, and it does it better than the actual game.

I love the star wars reference for AC 3, but the jedi hardly used guns, but the stormtroopers on the other hand, well, they couldn't hit the broad side of a moisture evaporator.

Say what you wish about Vahalla and Origins, but those cinematic trailers were absolutely peak
AC4 trailer really deserves to be put higher imo, it could be a contender for top 3. The fact that Valhalla, Mirage, and Syndicate are ranked higher is so wrong to me.
people got so sensitive about the Spear of Leonidus , it was fitting for the spartan. not everyone to have the hidden blade, feels unnecessary. like to see each mc in up and coming ac games have their unique iconic blade fitting to their environment and special skill set.

I do also prefer the male Eivor trailer, but for a different reason. It's totally plausible the female Eivor could kill "the Mountain", especially in the way it happened, with the hidden blade. What makes the difference for me is the music in the OG trailer is better.
I find it strange they changed the music in the alternate trailer.
And yeah, AC Unity's trailer is definitely their best one. No cinematic trailer makes me feel the way that one does.
