Honestly though. The original felt a little underwhelming given the musical build up found in the first few seconds. This has the same energy throughout and is all the better for it! Great remix.
It makes sense that Nintendo would remaster songs from the older consoles for the BCP, but to enchance the music from tour, a game newer than MK8D, shows that graphics aside the BCP is a work of art.

I was lukewarm on this track at the start...then it ran up and slapped me in the face so indignantly i think it left a mark. Same with the actual track, there's just so much going on, each lap feels special, and that's really enjoyable.

Idk what it is with Nintendo and just going nuts with each Tour remix, especially the city's tracks. They always completely changed the city track music to be more fuller and more alive in 8. The city tracks themselves are just ok, but it's their unique music style and vocals that truly make them stand out in the sounds department.
Well I'd imagine that getting to work on a song that tries to encapsulate a musical style unique to a certain country might be a lot more fun and rewarding than working on a song that has the same general style as most other songs in the game

Just played Wave 4 earlier tonight and it was quite an experience. The city tracks in this were fairly solid compared to a number of Tour city tracks featured in previous waves. I suspect Los Angeles Laps and Vancouver Velocity will be in wave 5, with the leaked upcoming city tracks arriving in the final wave.
Seriously Splatoon x Tee Lopes x Sonic Mania vibes going on here, especially 0:29-1:01. The progression of the piano at 0:43-1:01 sounds exactly like it came straight of one of the remixes from Sonic Mania 😁
As an Asian, Malaysian and someone who lives in a country in Malaysia that's literally a few minutes away from Singapore, this soundtrack and Singapore Speedway itself is one of my all time favourites.
I love everything about this track, it’s awesome it also has a banger theme. I think it’s my favourite track in Wave 4 by quite a way. This music reminds me a lot of Pokemon Sun and Moon.
WOW this is an improvement over the _Tour_ version! It's got more bass in the lead instead of it all being in the percussion. Lowering the lead in the B section an octave(?) really helps the song sound more fleshed out.
Listening to this before this year's F1 Singapore Grand Prix makes me think Nintendo missed a huge opportunity of featuring some bits of the real life Marina Bay Street Circuit in this track since Mario Kart and F1 are racing and that the Marina Bay Street Circuit is where the Singapore Grand Prix is held at

Tour music is kinda mid in the original game, but in 8 they usually go hard. Exceptions are Ninja Hideaway, Sky High, Sundae, and Berlin Byways
