There are many videos of people doing transatlantic, but I must say yours is the best. I loved it and watched from beginning to end. Brilliant video and well done on your sailing.
There are many great sailing videos on UA-cam, this immersing/amazing story takes first place by 4500nm. I’ve had the pleasure of watching at least 5 times. Nicely done!! Thanks 🙏
Fantastic!!!! Thats the way to arrive...... all out, in your face, water spout swirling from twin hulls, bunny hoppin the dock !!!! into a 360 back flip........... lol lol Great vid..... be proud !
I cannot agree enough with all the positive comments here. Watched the trip with the Lagoon 67 as well. They are both very engaging, well filmed and edited documentaries! Halfway through this one I actually said to myself: "This guy is a really good filmmaker". Can't wait to watch more:)
Amazing film... This is true inspiration, true courage and camaraderie, can't understand how anyone could give it a thumbs down...Bravo! Very fine people..
It’s Dec 31, 2018 9:42 pm I Lived every minute of the passage with you guys... great story, and filming... I really appreciate it.. and thank You for sharing your video with us... Good luck to all of you...
Wonderful video! Planning to circumnavigate in retirement soon. Particularly liked your honesty about the realities of life at sea... no sugar coating.
Great job on the video and editing. I watched it on a big flat screen and loved it. Your commentary gave me enough information to know what was going on and the action and suspense kept me waiting to see how everything turned out. And the boat and its builder? My hat is off in total admiration. Having built a Tiki 21 myself, I have great admiration to anyone who is willing to dedicate themselves to such a major undertaking. The Tiki 38 is a beautiful design and Jacques did a wonderful job of building it.
Congratulations to all of the crew, the builder, and James Wharram for a great design. Wonderful video, great adventure, well documented and edited. For years, I have wondered how a Wharram catamaran performed in all offshore conditions, the lashed hulls and all, and this documentary gave us all a great sense of how one performs and sails. Good luck to the crew on your next adventures, even if it is enjoying the sailing with your family and friends around your home port of Marseilles. You've earned it all.
That was an amazing story. So nice to see family and friends accomplish a dream. You must be proud of your father! I hope he has many great sailing experiences sailing the Med back home in the sunny south of France.
Amazing journey total dream since I was a child to sail across the Atlantic and see Europe ! At least from UA-cam I can ! Nothing like actualy doing it though ! Congradulations to you guys !
great boat, great people, you have done so well ! I could watch it again and again. after so many years working on the boat you finally made it. Congrats Guys ! Thx for sharing.
That was so awesome! To go on an adventure like that is one thing but being able to experience it with ur family would be truely amazing. Ur documentary of ur adventure is definitely inspiring!
Planning a circumnavigation with the Pilgrim in a year or 2. This time i'll bring proper filming gear + drone. See you in some anchorage somewhere one day maybe!
Awesome!! That is great news. And yes, I hope we see you on the ocean at some point. Fair winds and thanks again for sharing your talent and crazy adventures.
Is the film of just your arrival still on youtube ? I think there's a very short bit on there that shows a locker where the fenders are stored on the front deck.
wow awe inspirering film ,thanks for sharing this ,gave me goose bumps, giving the needed boost to get my 21 foot mono hull sailboat out.what has happened to pilgrim ?,still sailing I hope.fair winds ,,,,,paul
Building your own boat & sailing it across the Atlantic , you are the man.

June 11 to July 12 2011. Construction started in 2005.
Sure wish this was accessible with captions!
Hey Larry there are subtitle for the french dialogues. Are you also looking for english subtitles for the english narration? Thanks for your feedback.
The "settings" wheel does not give the option for languages. I don't see the "cc" button on the page, either.
Time to fulfill yer heritage and make the big trip to Tahiti but I know the only thing holding ya back is......................?
isn't it illegal to dump sewage overboard?
Great video and story but leaving to sail 4k with no auto pilot.. WHY!!
how much money did it take to build pilgrim?
About $50 000
If that's minimalist, then I'm Santa Clause. Give me a break...
Lot of fake pictures and movies. Just look at the socalled Gibraltar pasage.?.
Wow incredible! Amazing sail and an amazing film!
